Hi all! Just joined this forum and tic at age 38, ugh...already have 3 children, divorced...remarried and new hubby (who is 30) and I want to have a baby...38 too old?? I'm in good health and physically fit. I also just used the Clearblue fertility monitor this month. I have 2 highs at cd8 and cd9...then peak on cd10 and today which is cd11. We BD'd on the night of the high before my morning peak, then at 6am and 10pm on cd10...plan on BDing tonight and tomorrow also... Any thoughts about my age or how the fertility monitor works?? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

I conceived my 1st at 38 and we only twice that month . I'm TTC2 at 40 and it hasn't happened again. We are only on the 3rd month of trying though!

Well I definately had the eggwhite yesterday but my DH is on the opposite shift to me so I am hoping that what we did at the weekend will last until ovulation Fingers crossed. Still bleeding slightly due to the mirena coil being removed on 31st May so not been trying long im gonna keep everything crossed till friday and then try and relax and wait. But we all know that is easier said than done.

I am totally with you. My husband is an insomniac and I work 12 hour shifts so timing is more difficult. my DH is 31 and I am 36, so he is still getting used to the idea that we are TTC. He is supportive but I think secretly happy when the timing is off... any suggestions on how to get him in the mood without focusing on TTC????

skweek35, I am feeling better from the Lap but still alot of belly discomfort. You are in your tww aren't you?? I have my fingers crossed for you. I have a check up this Friday to talk to the surgeon. Then we will plan what is next. I am excited!! ! ! ! SO excited! I actully had a book called the 'Language of Letting Go' a year and a half ago and I was holding it and I asked God, "What about this pregnancy thing? When is it going to happen?" I opened the book a minute later to start reading it and there was nothing on either page (middle of the book) but the word: August. I thought maybe that was God telling me that I only had about 5-6 months to go...before I got pregnant. August came and went and so did many IUI's and many tears. I did not know why God put this desire into my heart. Almost a year and a half later, (now) I find out that I have endometriosis and the doc. removed all of it. My hope is renewed! And just look, August is right around the corner...Maybe the "August" in the book really was significant! I am holding onto hope. I am scared to do more IUI's but at least we got rid of the endo. so my chances are much better. Please cross your fingers for me to be able to start up again after I see the doc. on Friday, July 21st. I want to do a couple more IUI's and then just go natural again. I try not to think of it at all because it makes me freak out. All my friends are watching and I don't want to look like a complete fool!

Hey Loveybear - I will keep more than just fx!!! Will also keep you and your OH in my prayers.
Yes I am in the TWW but not holding my breath for a bfp this month as we didnt get much bding done last week when I was ovulating.
But I will be putting more effort in next month seeing that I am on school holidays from the end of the week!!!

Thanks Skweek35. It has been a long two month wait (for surgery and all) and one more week before AF starts. Then back to the drawing board with the fertility meds (I am hoping). We will see what the Doc. says. Ya never know girl, you could have just made it. You know sperm lives for a couple of days so either way, you may have covered it! I will keep my fingers crossed too! well had a look at ff this morning and according to them I ovulated last monday - BD'ed 2ce on sunday - so might just have got it!! (quietly hopeful)
I am now 10dpo - should I start testing?
In a way I really want to test but on the other hand I dont think I will cope with a at the mo.
or should I wait till next till next week tuesday when I'm due?

SKweek35 I would wait until next week. That way you will know for sure. I always break down and test 10 days after but regret it because it is always negative. But of course that could have been from the Endometriosis. At least the doc. found it and zapped it all out. I am hoping he will give me the go for ttc again. I am SOOOO ready! Maybe we will be preggers together lol. You never know! Hang in there girl, Wait at least until 12 days after. Hugs! I know your pain!

RNTTC 2011, wow! 12 hour shifts?? That has to be exhausting! There are some things you can purchase for libido for men on a website called Swansonhealth.com or you can put in swansonvitamins.com. They have several different kinds of healthy and herbal remedies. You can tell your honey it is for good sperm motility so he won't get defensive about whether or not he has a libido. I know how you feel; my hubby has a low libido. I give it to him and I notice it brings his up a bit...at least enough to want it a few more times a month! Hey, that helps right? I can think of a few. Let me see...Mega Tribulus Extract (for "Sexual Satisfaction" but helps libido), Catuba Bark (for Sexual Satisfaction" but helps for libido as well) also there is Maca and you can read the reviews for that. There is also Muira Puama for better libido. You can read reviews for all of them when you get on the site. They are generally affordable and easy to take. (just capsules) heck, tell him they are vitamins for fertility. Perfect! My DH NEVER took vitamins before and now he does every day, like 15 of them. I set up the little pill cases M-F for Morning and Night and the first few weeks I had to hand them to him each day but now he takes them on his own and when he runs out, he asks for more! AMAZING! Before he told me they woudn't help. We are getting ready to try again in August. I sure hope you get a chance to hit it right away. You know, you can also look up Ovulation Calendars on Google. You put your info. in there and whalla, it gives you the dates you are most fertile. But of course you probably already know that...sorry. Also what I did was once my period started, I checked the Ovulation Predictor online, found out what days (about 5) I was fertile. I told my hubby in advance so he would wait until that week to "get it on" and about two days before I would remind him. He did a great job with that info. It REALLY Helps to keep them informed! They are less stressed that way and the pressure is less if you let them know in ADVANCE! You probably already know that too but I was just throwing it out there. Sounds like you may need a bit to heal up after the Mirina. Don't rush it. You will get there. You will have your BFP soon! Hang in there. Hugs and Baby Dust...lots of it! Give the Libido pills time to set in, like three weeks to a month! It will be well worth it.

skweek35 are you having any preggers symptoms? I know, they are all like AF symptoms at the beginning. Don't think about it too much. Relax and have a good weekend. Your BFP will be here before you know it. !

Kirmal12, did you have any fertility probs. with baby number 1? I just turned 39 and let me tell you, I have had fertility issues for well over 8 years now. I just had a laparoscopy and the doc. found Endometriosis. Now I wish I had looked into that sooner. I sure hope I get my BFP soon! I know how you feel honey, just keep trying for a couple more months. If it doesn't work in 3 more months (6 all together), you should probably see a fertility specialist. I wouldn't waste any time. I wasted like 6 months trying "naturally" per my GYN's instructions when I had already not gotten preggers in 6 1/2 years. HELLO! I felt like a dumb ass but was following docs. orders. 8 months later and 4 IUIs later, then a Laparoscopy I am still not preggers. But like I said the doc. says I had Endo. (he found it this month) and he removed it all. So I am crossing my fingers that I will be fertile now and implantation can take place. Don't be cry honey, you will get there! We all have struggles but they pay off in the end. LOTS OF HUGS AND BABY DUST TO YOU. You are still young enough so don't let anyone try to discourage you.

Lovleybear - thanks for the support. I have decided to wait a few days till I test. I did have some spotting yesterday morning but all gone now - really strange. Other than that I have had the usual really tender boobs - DB is not allowed anywhere near them at the mo!! shame!! hehe
I've had a lovely weekend so far - dinner and drinks with the work ladies last night. Then up early this morning for fish pedicure with my parentals. Then out to look at wedding dresses with a friend.
so yes a good weekend so far!!

I have been a lurker here for a bit, but finally decided to join and post. I am 38 and this is my second cycle TTC. My AF has been regular for years with only the occasional episode of being late but only a day or at the max 3 days. I know my body pretty well and know by my cm when I am fertile and last month everything was textbook but a BFN then this month. . . well wth!?! Everything was normal, BD on my first fertile day but then couldn't the rest of the fertile days (he was gone) so I was thinking to myself 'no problem there is always next cycle'. Of course in my mind I am counting down my dpo and expecting AF but it doesn't happen and my pms symptoms all start getting worse! Don't get excited, I took a HPT on the off chance and it was neg which I expected. So now I am sitting here with my cycle out of whack out of nowhere, no BFP, no clue when my AF will show up so I can start using a cbfm which I will need to next cycle because of this wait to start. I am currently 21 dpo and no AF with another hpt showing a bfn this morning.

Sorry. This month I am just frustrated because everything was clockwork and then when I finally decide to go ahead and actively ttc this month goes wonky out of nowhere.

I am hoping that my af does start soon so I can get back on track ttc!

Next cycle I am going to add softcups to my arsenal and of course because of this month I am going to add the cbfm. Here is to hoping that next month works, but if not I am going to keep trying!

If you read all this, thank you. If you didn't, I so don't blame you!!! LOL I sometimes just go on and on and on. . .

SKweek35, that sounds like a FABULOUS weekend! Did your AF start yet? I am glad you decided to wait. Take care and keep me posted. I start my new IUI cycle once my period starts which will be around the 1st of August. I am really nervous and excited. I am trying to stay positive and not think that it won't work. The doc. took out all the Endometriosis so hopefully with GOD's help, that will do the trick! ! ! keep in touch. Baby dust.

Crylynn, have you had a blood test? You may be preggers! 21 days past ovulation is a good thing. Is your temp up? test it tomorrow morning before you get out of bed. Look into temping and you will find out how to do it. That will help you with ovulation too! Crossing my fingers for you! :O
