Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ohh.. I have a question for those of you that have been pregnant, or are pregnant.

I normally sleep on my side with the top leg kicked up and rotated so I am kind of on my stomach. Well last night it didn't feel good to do that. It is hard to describe, but it felt like my stomach wasn't hanging the way it normally does. Any thoughts? Or am I just imagining all sorts of crazy?

It can't hurt anything until you get big enough to "squish" the baby, lol...but if it's uncomfortable maybe just switch. But nope everything I've read said you can sleep on your tummy until the bump starts growing noticeably!

Hey Ladies,

Can I join in please? I'll be 37 in a couple of weeks and I've just started retrying for number 1. I had a miscarriage this time last year, then after a while of being unsuccessful, I decided I was going to join my Hubby in his hobby and learned to dive. We went to Egypt a few weeks ago, where I finished my training.

Now we're back, we're back on it again. I have really odd cycles. My longest, before this one was 53 days, this month, I got my first positive ovulation test on CD53. Yesterdays was negative and my temp went up this morning, so I'm guessing I have now ovulated, so its just the waiting game for me.

You all seem really nice on here, it would be really good to get to know you all.

TerriLou

Welcome TerriLou!! Yes we try to be very nice and supportive :) We even have a few mom's to be that got their :bfp: and still help out and be supportive. Grey Eyes and Phil are awesome!!! It is nice to have women who have been successful around to bounce ideas off of.

Well best of luck Terri! :dust:

Hey Jess!

I'm here. I am 'ninja' today :ninja: It is a term that we use to describe the process. Once a week we take turns being the person that manages the systems, making sure they are all up and running properly. It is not a pleasant job and usually makes me really grumpy. It also means I don't have as much time for bnb! ARGH :grr:

Not much to report at 7DPO, waves of nausea, empty annoying stomach, and cramps, bloating, gas, constipation too! YAY! I did take an HPT this morning and it is finally showing negative. So that is good, it means if I get a faint line that it is a real :bfp: Now I just have to wait until next week for it to actually be positive!!! The wait is killing me! Honestly I feel exactly the same as I did last cycle at this point.

How are you doing? Looks like you are in a happy good mood today!!!

Ok Ms Ninja!! :ninja: Well, don't be grumpy. You could have a bambino growing inside of you!! :hugs:
Who do you work for? What is it that you do? Sounds technical...

AFM---I am great today! I sent the CEO that interviewed me a Thank-You note after the interview the other day and he actually took the time to reply!! While he did not offer me the job (sill interviewing) he did say my analytical and PC skills would be valuable to the organization and i had a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the position!! :happydance: Woo hoo!!

But, I still have to wait for round 2 of interviews to be completed. The last interview is on Tuesday, next week. So, it seems my TWW is for a different reason this month. Lol! :haha:

My BBs don't hurt as bad as they have for the past week. I know I am not PG because BD timing wasn't right this month. But I always hope just maybe...

Alin! Hey you!! No, I don't chart. All I have done thus far is OPK tests. But this month I didn't even do that. Last month wiped me out...OPK was positive...we BD'd before and after...did the TWW...and here comes the evil AF!! Argh! I was drained and decided to take this month off.

So, with charting, you mean temps? Or what? I guess I really don't know what you're talking about. Help me!! :)

Gotta love the little :ninja: chick! :haha: Whenever I'm ninja I'm usually totally stressed out. It is a lot to handle for one person. The day starts at about 7:45 and goes until 6 or later. BLAH.

I am in IT, I'm a data analyst, support analyst, developer, you name it I do it! Luckily the ninja day is only once a week normally, but this week I had the honors 2 times! YAY ME! Normally Friday is a quiet day, but we had an invoice fail and pharmacy claims started to timeout. So basically I have been on my toes all morning. I work for a health intelligence company that manages EHR (electronic health records), pharmacy claims, and drug ordering for hospitals and pharmacies. It is a start up so it is still growing, so much of what my team does is keep the company afloat!! Making sure systems are all up and that clients are happy.

I hope I'm carrying a bambino! That would be awesome, my nausea seems to be getting worse as the day goes on. Could it be? Seems too early to me, as I'm only 7DPO.

WOW, your 2WW is just as stressful! I hope you get some good news next week? :hugs:

Hey Ali: we are in the same boat. I have to work late tonight too. And I have ridiculous nausea. I looked on last month's chart and I had nausea on 8dpo, so not getting my hopes up.

Me too! I am fairly sure I had nausea around this time as well, so yep, not getting my hopes up either!

Welcome! OMG Egypt? Seriously? My dh dives too and used to instruct and here I don't even know how to dogpaddle yet :haha:

37- no problem [-X I am 36 and 6 months prego...I have found in reading other ladies cycles over the last few months that it generallytakes longer to get a bfp if you have odd or super long cycles...I think it's just in the predictability of catching the egg? One doctor recommended in long cycles that you actually will have 2 lh surges and to use the second as the release of the egg. So I would def keep temoing and - do you use opk's? They help immensley!

I am Coy, btw :)

Jess- yep, Alin means temping and other stuff. When you opena chart n FF it gives you the option of charting your cm status (fun, eh?), your basal body temp, use of opk's, any symptoms like nausea, grumpiness, etc...

Hi ladies!

AFM- sort of took yesterday off so I am feeling pretty good today. Got some energy but I am hungry suddenly?! Babes has been kicking up a storm for days now :haha: she def has energy! I think that's awesome!

Today I will once again enter The Room :haha: See what I can get accomplished. I have it all planned in my head how I want it, just now making it happen

Nice cool day so it is very relaxing :cloud9:

Oh, dh and I are playing around with names...we always look for very strong names for girls- we believe names help shape a character iykwim? With these two dd's and their strongwills and stubborness we better not name this girl anything like Lilly or Violet [-X or she will get run over by those two! :haha:

Thanks for the warm welcome, I feel at home here already.

I have noticed previously that I tend to get a couple of surges. I did find that I had a lot of cm last week, which seemed odd as I was expecting AF. My boobs usually hurt a bit just before AF, but they weren't and obviously AF hasn't come, but an egg has.

Egypt was absolutely amazing, but I was spoilt out there, I don't want to dive in the UK now, it'll be far too cold.

Apparently divers tend to conceive girls, so that would be a test, wouldn't it? See how right the rumours are.

Last time I we conceived on our first month trying, but unfortunately lost the baby at 8 weeks, we tried again for a few months after that, then stopped trying for a while. We're back to it now, no more diving for me. I've continued temping etc while we were preventing, just to keep track of things. The only time I have missed was due to me forgetting to take the thermometer away.

Coy, congrats, hope its all going really well for you, what were your first symptoms and when did you start to get them?

my first symptoms were a stuffy nose! at about 7-8 dpo...and of course my temp stayed in the 97.8-98.0 range from about 4 dpo onward. No nausea until 6 weeks though!

OMG.. can I just say that today has been a bitch?
I got yelled at by a client that was totally out of line. He told me I didn't understand statistics (when I quoted him exactly how our system works, and provided examples as to why his queries were flawed) then had the gall to tell me the customer is always right! While I always err on the side of caution in issues like this, he was very much in the wrong! I even gave him proof! Anyway, it was not a fun situation! My boss backed me up and said he would deal with the Arse!
All the while I felt like I was going to hurl my cookies!
Now I'm trying to corral my 3 dachshunds.. anyone ever had to discipline dachshunds? It is not easy! I have 2 that are my own, and a third that is a foster! Keegan, the foster is a sweet little boy who my rescue org rescued from a kill shelter in Miami.. but until a fur ever home is found he is living with me! That means 2 dachshunds under 1 yr old in my house! Plus Zoe who is almost 10! I feel like I'm being outnumbered by dachshunds!

Alas, it is the weekend, and just a few more days before I can test!!!

Between the extra stress and my topsy turvy tummy.. I am feeling really crappy :(
