Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

AFM- ah, what a start to the day! I had a horrible nightmare that goes back to some psychological issues with my family  and then I woke up from that only to hear people shouting in my living room at the break of dawn! So I rushed to check my girls and one was missing  ...well I found her in the living room sitting about a foot and half from the tv with it's speakers ready to blow she had the damn volume turned up so loud! :growlmad: That was the people I heard shouting  So I took the remotes away from her and gave her a good talking to and went back to bed :haha:

Today is room finishing day :happydance: I am sooo looking forward to having it done! Then I can start stocking the drawers with diapers and baby clothes  Then its on to getting my room set for the cradle :) That'll take some creativity on my part :coffee: lol

:wohoo: so glad you are making progress on your girls rooms! So will they all have their own rooms or do 2 share currently? Yes, putting the cradle in your room is a good idea, or so I have heard. Then again I'm talking to the woman with 2 kids already, by now you are probably old hat!! :haha:

I'm glad that when you woke up this morning it wasn't anything more serious! I'm sure it was quite a start hearing all that noise in the living room.. eek!

Hi everybody, I'm managing to sneak on for a moment while trying to :juggle: everything lol. Think I'm turning into a stalker lol....

Ali - more positive news and I truely believe talking to our good man upstairs, our tums and basically anybody that listens does help. I find it helps me relax and believe that things will happen, if they dont well sure I just put it down to a little madness:wacko:

Thanks for the comments re my challenge. NI is very small, it only has a population of about 3 million and I'd reckon most states in America are miles bigger lol (my geography is pants). With the road infrastructure here and rest stops I reckon the challenge will take about 14 hours to complete, it's around 320ish miles.:loopy:

GreyEyes - oh what overtook your daughter to do that lol? Silly billy, did she not think people would wake up?

Jess - good luck with the interviewing, I hope you get to the next stage, no wait - I hope you get the job :happydance:

Alin - hope your 2WW goes quickly as well.

Hi to everybody else, so much going on with everybody and I'm still getting to know names so apologies if I havent mentioned you personally.

xoxo

Coy, I can only imagine all the emotions running through you with the nightmare, shouting, your daughter! Wow! You must be exhausted!! Lol! I hope you get some rest...AFTER you finish the room! :flower:

Hi ladies!

Ali- you are 5 dpo right? So I would suggest testing next Monday with a FRER...you'd be 10 dpo (?). I got a bfn on 9 dpo but my bfp on 10 dpo  One day can make all the difference! Re: cradle in my room...yes, we never leave the baby ina room alone, dh and I feel that their sense of trust and security is heightened by having mom and dad in the same room :) In fact until the baby is a month or so old we will take turns staying awake for an hour or so and letting her sleep on our chest. We are always terrified she may smother or something at night. We do this and alternate her in her cradle, but leaver her on her side with a rollled blanket so she can't roll to her back or tumy...that way if she pukes up at night she won't smother, etc. Parental concerns  STRESS! AARGH! :haha: Those first few weeks are a definate stress :)

Angel- nice to "see" you on today, I love reading your posts! And re: my "silly billy" :haha: daughter...I'm not sure what got into her. When I shouted over the noise for her to turn it down she looked at me and said "I did turn it down...a little" :saywhat: lol! It's kid psychology...she wanted to wake her sister up so she would have a cartoons buddy. I think that's gotta be it as when I went to check on Katana Teagen had stripped the blankets off of her and she was shivering in her sleep :( poor thing! T was just trying to make her wake up ! lol...

Jess- yes, it was a weird wake up today especially with the gonzo nightmare topping it all :haha: Better now though, lol.

AFM- well, I had a late breakfast (or lunch ) and did a ton of forms online for my schooling - yuk. lol. Now I am set to run -errands for the household then finish the girls room. Btw the two girls currently share a room with a big queen bed in it. Teagen had always slept in our room but when Kat turned 2 years we decided to put them in a room toegther so they won't get the hee-bee-jeebies at night! (kids are funny that way). And they love having their own room together. We have a small house so have to make the absolute most of each little space.

Oh I would love to be a child in your house Coy, my own room with a sibling to grow up with and a queen bed! Bliss lol :cloud9:

Sounds like a busy day, you make sure and take 30mins for a :book: and a cuppa and rest youreslf and that precious bump.

Hope you have better dreams tonight xo

Jess- hope you get the job you want! Don't let that prevent you ttc though--they can just tough it out, there are laws you know! Although I did get fired for getting pregnant my boss was a major a**hole but he is now regretting having ever met me :growlmad: So is his attorney :haha: I don't take crap without fighting back :smug: But you are very skilled and apparently qualified and good at what you do- so keep ttc or we'll all be sad :sad1: lol!

I totally agree! Family before job. Plus, I have a friend who started a job 5 months pregnant. They weren't thrilled then, but it's 5 years later and she still works there and has been promoted.

HEHE.. you always make me laugh!! :happydance: Silly girls trying to wake the other one up. What can you do?

Yes, 5DPO today, and I will continue to use my IC tests until I see them getting darker, then I'll switch to a more reliable test. If I haven't seen any improvement I'll try a FRER on 10DPO. I sure hope it works!

Yes, if I am lucky enough to get pregnant, I too will be keeping the baby in my room with me. It is just easier, and better for both baby and Mamma! Makes the middle of the night feedings so much easier!

How is everyone doing today?

Coy I hope you had a more restful sleep and less jarring wake up!!:haha:

Jess Any news about the job? The next round of interviews? What is the position that you are going for? Sounds like it is a pretty important one if they are going through so many interviews. FX'd that you get the job

Angel Sounds like a good ride for a great cause! I hope you make lots of $$ for your cause :bunny:

How are you guys doing FirstTry and Alin? Surviving the 2WW?

AFM I am driving myself bonkers! My temps are looking good (I think) since I'm new at this thing. I woke up nauseous this morning, that was fun! I am feeling slightly better with some food in my tummy and a little tea. 6DPO today, still got a ways to go until I could test. Speaking of tests :test:, my IC is still registering with a very faint line. So faint it is barely there. I would have thought it would be gone by now, but I guess it is just going to stick around for a while, :growlmad: Oh, and I am so exhausted, I just want to go lay down, and either relax or sleep ! I don't feel rested when I wake up, and that is not normal for me, usually I'm ready to rock and roll after 7 hours sleep. I was reading the side effects of progesterone, and fatigue is one of them. So that could be what is making me more tired. I just want it to be 12DPO so I can :test: !!

Ok Ok ok...FirstTry and Coy...I hear ya...I talked to BF last night and we agreed not to go back on BC. :happydance: But I know I will feel horrible starting a new job and then going on maternity leave nine months later. BUT then again...family...I love family! And I really want another little one... :)

The job I am interviewing for is an Executive admin position with Silicon Labs. At first I thought "I have a Masters! Why would I want to be an Admin?" But after I saw the salary...well it is almost twice what I make now!! Hard to say no to that...especially when I loathe my current job.

So...how is everyone doing this morning?

Ali...I would say "Quit driving yourself crazy:wacko:, but my attempts to get you to do that would be futile! So, in the spirit of your TWW, let talk about and analyze EVERY SINGLE SYMPTOM!! :happydance::winkwink:

Coy...what is the status on the room? Did you finish it? How are you feeling? I would love to know what your current stage of pregnancy feels like. Does it resemble what it says in the "What to Expect" Book?

MarathonGirl...what is going on WOMAN!!

Alin, Angel, Phil, and Tia...where are you lovely ladies? Let's chat...:hugs:

WOW! I have heard that Exec Admins do make a lot of money, mostly because their jobs are demanding. You need to be able to assess certain situations quickly and make the right decision. Also, you need to be 1 step ahead of the boss and anticipate his/her needs. So yes, I can see why it pays double what you are making. Also, it positions like that, you are also seen by the people that count on a daily basis. They can promote you to other positions in the company too!

As for the baby making, you need to do what is best for you and your family. I'm super happy that you guys decided to keep trying!!! :yipee: I'm really happy for you!!

Jm ~ im here hun had a stonking headache for 2 days now and can't get rid,im so happy you are going to continue trying i started a new job when i was 7 weeks pg with my 2nd and they were fine about it,fingers crossed you get the job

ali ~ hope that ic starts getting darker for you hun

AFM I thought i ov cd 13 but ff put me at cd 12 so now 3 dpo with a testing date of 24th june,as i said i have a stonking headache and can't get rid,my 18 month old ds is not well he has a bad cough again and wheezy so needs his inhaler (he was admitted to hospital middle of may with a bad cough and wheezing and given 20 puffs on a inhaler and then we was told could be asthma but can't diagnose till he is 4,no one in my or hubbys family suffer with asthma) so im not getting much sleep.

Goodluck to everyone else in 2ww and hope all the pg ladies are well

Ok, so I already told yall that I was not focused on tracking anything this month. I didn't do the OPK, didn't do the temps, check CM or anything. (I did take the Mucinex and evening primrose oil) But I just realized last night my BBs have been sore for over a week. Initially I was thinking it was my body getting back to normal or maybe I was sore from a really good chest workout. BUT...normally, they don't get sore at all. And my BBS dont get sore from a chest workout...only my muscles do. Can the mucinex or primrose cause my BBS to be sore?

So, lets just say that when me and BF BD'd at the beginning of the month it led to PG...how soon do BBs start to get sore? I know it is probably different for everyone, but I would like to hear from yall...

Alin, thanks! I just need to be patient! While I drive myself crazy!

Sorry to hear about your DS, that must be difficult. I have heard that with things like athsma and allergies, that they wait until the child is older to do testing. I just wish I knew why? I have a friend who's child is 'over the top' for lack of a better description. He is wired all the time, doesn't listen, and is so loud. They have been trying to get him in for allergy testing to find out what it is that causes him to act out so much. They won't do it for him either, apparently he is just too young! Meanwhile the parents go crazy trying to deal with this wild child. I hope your situation improves and your little guy gets over the cough!!

For those who enjoy symptom analysis, I'm 6dpo and started feeling a medium about of bloating yesterday which continues today.

I looked at my chart from last month and on 11dpo I felt very bloated. That night I started my regular pre-AF spotting. So, today is too early for the spotting. No other symptoms to speak of. Thoughts?

Good question!! Do you have any guess as to what DPO you are on? I seem to recall that you thought you were going to O last weekend? So you might be 4-5DPO? I'm not sure if it is the progesterone or the HCG that makes your boobs sore. If it is the progesterone, then you would feel it shortly after O, and if it is the HCG then you'd feel it after implantation. I do know that sore BBS is a sign of pregnancy!! :yipee: now wouldn't that be a surprise!!! A good surprise!!

I've taken Mucinex the past 2 months and have not gotten sore BBs. What CD are you on?

Hey FirstTry,

I'm not very good at symptom analysis, but I think that bloating is a sign of being pregnant. Have you had any pain or IB? I'm wondering because of the dip in your chart the past 2 days, and the bloating? Could it be a sign of implantation? Again, I'm just learning, but if it were me that is what I would be wondering? Best of luck!!!! :dust:
