Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

I learned something new today! What skint means! :haha:

AFM - nothing going.. figured out my headaches and sluggishness is due to me not taking my thyroid pill. I double up (I know bad Ali) last night. So far, no headaches and no exhaustion even after only getting 5 hours sleep. So I now know that I need to make sure I take that darn blue pill! :haha: I'm wondering if I might need an adjustment though as I have been taking it for the past week at regular doses and having headaches and fatigue. Maybe I need the next dose up?

I have another check up with the FS tomorrow morning.. they'll peek at my lining and check my E2. Same old :coffee: I don't believe we get to do the biopsies until next week this time. We shall see!

I'm going to stop at whole foods on my way home and get a treat. Something wholesome, and tasty. Maybe some fresh fish? IDK. Sometimes they have some yummy already cooked things. Or sushi? I guess it will just depend on what appeals to me. Funny how not having a headache and not feeling exhausted makes me want to eat healthily! WHO KNEW?

Twiggers.. I agree with Coy's comments and when I looked at your chart I thought the exact same. You need to look at the big picture all the time not just look for one indicator. Keep :sex: and good luck.

Coy.. I hated team assignments for the reason you just outlined, so not fair :growlmad:. Good on you for raising it with your tutor, I always s did the same.

Ali... are you feeling any better today Do you think it will take long for your thyroid to settle down again? :flower:

Sam, Terri, Phil and everybody else :hi:

AFM... Just about to finish work, go home and get dinner served to me as DH doesnt work a Wednesday :happydance:. Then time with my son, put him to bed, go out for a run and then get some more job applications started. Then go to bed with a cuppa and hopefully :coffee: before .

Oh and in case I haven't mentioned it I've only 6 days in work left!!!!!!!!:happydance:I may become skint but I am so happy and I know deep down that I have made the right decision taking redundancy

xoxo

What's a "skint"? If it means unemployed I guess I'm a skint too! :laugh2:

Yes, I hate team assignments....

Coy, it means having no money..... like "don't have 2 nickels to rub together"..... right, Angel?

Well, then, that'd be me :haha:

I am thinking AF is showing up...like 11dpo today and had some brown spotting (tmi, not sorry :haha: ) so we'll see!

HI Ladies

Sorry been away... finished a project! Yippee.. So what's up?!!!!!

I think I have ADD I can't focus on reading the posts.

So I been injecting myself. Go back tomorrow for my second sono and blood. The doctor called, my glucose is 117:( I had to get clearance from my regular doctor. My regular doctor said on January 29th my glucose was 109. He says not much of a difference from the 117 and its an abnormal high and it has to be monitored. I guess its probably because I'm puggy... anyway, I think I'm about to take a big risk. Since Sunday I gained 3 lbs.. I can tell my stomach is bloated and I've been very careful with what I eat.

Hey SAMs..

Normal glucose is below 100 and pre-diabetes is between 100 and 120 with diabetes being above 120 (I think). So it's a good thing that you are monitoring it. I know a lot of people that were able to turn it around by eating properly and cutting out sugars and bad carbs. You can do it!

The weight is very likely due to the shots, so don't stress too
much about that weight. I gained 8 lbs while stimming the first round. Just focus on eating properly and drinking plenty of water!

Samsfan... are you getting any dietary advice or support to help with your sugar levels? Follow Ali's advice and also remember products like fruit juices are extremely high in sugar. Good luck!

Ali... good luck today.

Coy... yeah 11DPO sounds about right for AF arriving, well at least there's no panicking this month!

I'm a bit like Sam at the moment, I am hyper about leaving work and just can't concentrate on anything lol :happydance:.

Catch you all later, have a good day.

X

Sam- no worries! Stress can raise glucose too (betcha didn't know that :winkwink: lol! Mine should be skyhigh:haha: )and I think the weight you're "putting on" is just water weight-- kinda like an AF from hell :haha: Ali lost that pretty fast :hugs: don't stress! :bfp: here ya come!

So I went in to see my FS this morning. He wanted to see where my lining was, and it is shrinking? He was not happy about that :nope: Last Friday it was 7.7, then this Monday it was 10.6 and today it is 8.1? So either Monday was a fluke or its shrinking  So he upped my delestrogen dose to 1.2 from 0.8 and they drew my blood to see what my E2 is (before the shot). I'll get that result here in another hour or 2. This might delay my biopsy a little. ARGH. I guess it depends on what my estrogen is. My body has been doing odd things, so maybe my estrogen is rising but my lining is just a little behind? I really wish they would just let me go naturally. :dohh:

Ali- why CAN'T you go naturally? I mean- the eggs are ready tog o- why not wait til your lining is naturally thick enough then implant?

Ali- why CAN'T you go naturally? I mean- the eggs are ready tog o- why not wait til your lining is naturally thick enough then implant?

I asked that question, and they would prefer to use estrogen to control it better. Thing is that I think it is causing my lining to be unhappy. Plus I'm emotional, and my boobs have inflated like balloons! I have D cups, but I'm 40 so they kinda sag IYKWIM? :haha: This morning I looked in the mirror and I was like EEK! :saywhat: how on earth did my boobs get so big? :argh: :ignore: I'm like YIKES! :haha: They barely fit in my bra. :nope: I know that happens when you are pregnant, but apparently it happens when you take estrogen too!

So I have to suffer, and wait for them to complete this trial. Still hoping that it all happens next week and we'll be done with it all  Then I can start on the real deal :happydance:

Ali- I agree go naturally!!!!! Your body needs a lil break.:flower: But after this cycle.

Thanks Angel, Coy Ali for the advice.

Coy- Your right it may be stress. My work probably doesn't help. I'm thinking I should probably start doing a lot of walking, maybe hiking. That wont effect my follies. Right? So I went for a massage yesterday and I just came back from acupuncture.

I went for my first sono today.... no follies on my right side:shrug: and only 2 on my left with 3 small ones:nope: Sad, I have real lazy ovaries. Tonight I add ganorolex (sp)

Where's Chantal?

Chantal is in Barbados :growlmad: leaving us to wait in agonizing anticipation! :loopy: lol! She's supposed to be back on or near the 1rst of March, right?

No, I don't think walking will hurt anything, although I wouldn't do anything too stressful that you haven't done before  Hiking hard hills might be too much? I don't think so though.

Ali- wow, estrogen makes your boobs grow?! I want some!

Sorry about your slow moving follicles. I am surprised! You are on a good level of stim meds. I'd suggest trying a heating pad it helps increase blood flow to the uterus. Stress can also decrease your follicular development.

What cycle day are you on? How big were your follicles? The ganirelix is needed to prevent you from ovulating before they can go in and get the eggs.

Here is hoping that some follicles appear on your other ovary and that they grow tons in the next few days!

You can have them!! I have D cups and my boobs are perky without the bra and in the bra they are bursting out if the bra  Oh and they are so very tender. Ouch!

I can't remember when Chantal is back, maybe tomorrow? Possibly over the weekend? I miss her, can't wait to hear how things are going!

Ali- Today is day 5 on the meds. Saturday I have another sono. 2 were greater than 10 mm. I don't know how big the others were:nope: It's probably stress. I had an ultimate stressful week. However, I went for a massage yesterday, acupuncture today. Walk tomorrow and I'm going to go for another massage this weekend. Hopefully, they will go in the next couple of days. What else can I do?

By the way boobs are always a positive!

I can't wait to hear an update from Chantal also.

SAMs.. it took me 12 days of stims and on about 7 days suddenly I had 2-3 times as many follicles, so here is hoping things improve!

I wish the boobs meant something! I'm just taking estrogen to thicken my lining in preparation for the biopsies next week. No chance of being pregnant :(

Try the heating pad and do what you can to relax and get blood flowing to your uterus. Walking is good as long as you aren't hurting your belly.

Also, think positively!

They didn't seem to enthusiastic about my growth. (nonexistent) I'm wondering what else I could do to stimulate?

Well doing the lupron flare protocol might help, upping your doses, doing acupuncture 2-3 times a week during stims, taking fertility supplements (royal jelly, maca root, coq10, tapioca, aspirin) heating pad, can all help!

I guess just wait and see how things go on Sat? If you don't get more follicles developing, did your RE mention canceling or switching to IUI?

I'm so sorry Sam! Lets just hope that your a late bloomer and they all magically appear on Sat!
