Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone who conceived after a loss found this statement to be true? It took me 9 months to get my bfp and I'm now on month 2 after miscarriage.

I'm desperate to be pregnant again but feel its going to be a long road ahead, I know it will all be worth it in the end these times are just hard!

xx

Most definitely!
All the girls on my original loss board from last year, got pg within 1-2 months after mc and now have healthy babies! Due to things going on in life, I didn't try right away. But first time sort of did, 9 months after mc, I find myself pg well into my 40s.

Wishing you the best of luck.

Thanks so much for you reply :) I wonder why that is the case! But I will keep hoping and imagining myself holding a baby one day!

xxx

I have heard that you can be more fertile 😊
For me however after my second loss it took me a lot longer to fall. Took is 9 months where as the times before it only took is 3-4. I guess the stress didn't help and also I found out I had cervicitus which can hinder conception. As soon as I took my anti Bs I fell pregnant that cycle.
I think as a general rule you are more fertile if there are no underlying issues xx

Hi, I think it just varies for everyone. I got a BFP 2nd month of trying, but ended in a chemical. Had another chemical 2 months later, then the next month I took baby Aspirin and got pregnant and I'm now due April. I know a few others that got pregnant the first month using baby aspirin too. Not saying it's for everyone or a magic potion by any means, but it might be worth a try. Gl to you! I hope it happens fast!

Hi and so sorry for your loss. I have heard you can be more fertile after a loss even my doctor said she's seen lots of women get pregnant soon after. For me however, it's been 4 complete cycles since and I have yet to ovulate. So I think it just depends on how your body bounces back.

Yes - certainlt! It took me 18 months to get pregnant the first time (except a random chemical after 6 months). I had blighted ovum twins that I miscarried at 9 weeks. Didn't ovulate at all between the mc and my first period, but got pregnant again right away the next month! So that was 2 years TTC over all, with 3 months between one bfp and the next at the end!

My first son was stillborn on the 2nd Jan in 2010, I had postpartum bleeding then got a bfp before my next period. So I conceived around 3 weeks after giving birth at 36 weeks. I then had a mc at the end of December, af came exactly 28 days later then had my bfp this months.

That said I seem to be ridiculously fertile and always conceive within the first couple of cycles of trying. Good luck with ur ttc xxx

Hi ladies, this is giving me so much comfort. I'm currently going through a loss (empty sac at 10 weeks) and will hopefully be going for a d&c in the next few days. It's our first and we got our bfp after 3 cycles. At the moment we are keen to get back to TTC, and I've been wondering how long it might take. I don't want to think that it will happen that quickly again, but I really hope it does! It's nice to hear that for some people it can.

I agree with the others, I think it just depends on your body. I got my bfp in October after my loss in July with one period in between, however my friend is having to go through hormone treatment after hers around the same time as they have not evened out after her loss.

Good luck xx
