i knw how you feel pet ! my OH went out 2 weekends ago boozing with his mates i was so angry and went to stay with my mum for a week ! i went back for the sake of our daughter because i want the family unit , my OH is really great wen hes sober but he needs to do alot of growing up ! it seems im doing all the housework , cleaning , washing, cooking etc while he comes and goes as he pleases , he always promises hell get his act together but it just seems he cnt accept responsibility at all ! so tonight i packed up my things and cleared , im fed up of being walked all over , i have my daughter to think about !

i really hope your OH gets his act together sweetie ! is there anyway u cld pack up some things & leave for a week or 2 to see if itll give him the wake up call he needs ? thinking of you xx

Crack cocoaine is highly addictive, cocaine used receationaally is not, also depends entirely on the persons "addictive personality" or the amount you consume / how much soare money you've got, taking cocaine etc as a one off of on nights outs is not going to turn you into an addict!!!

I've known people to get addicted to cocaine (talking about the recreational drug cocaine, not crack). It's not necessarily the actual drug they get addicted to as unlike tobacco it has no addictive chemicals in it - the addiction is psychological, they get addicted to the lifestyle and how it makes them feel.

I expressed an opinion that some people may feel is "pro" weed earlier. I'd rather like to think of it as anti alcohol to be honest! I have smoked weed in the past in my teens quite a bit, after one bad experience I have not done it again, I just don't like the way it makes me feel anymore. And I don't agree with having it around children. I don't think one person on this thread has actually said that. All I'm saying is that alcohol is FAR worse and if pubs sold spliffs instead of alcohol our hospitals and police forces would have FAR more money, would be much better able to do their jobs etc. OK we would all be on the dole but that's another can of worms that I do not want to open! (joking btw before I get slammed!) But you get my drift. Alcohol is dangerous. People seem to want to ignore that and go on about how bad weed is - yes it is a mind altering substance that should not be around children just like any other substance, but I can't abide by the over-reaction!

Only he wasn't taking it recreationally. If people are going to bring up my previous posts then they should read them properly. He took it from the minute he woke up to the minute he went to bed. All day every day and spent about £200 a day on it.
He doesn't now because I threatened to walk out and never let him see his son, and he realised what was far more important.
So I think thats slightly different to taking weed on a one off.
How disgusting to even bring this up....

I'm defending it but i'm not one who smokes it regularly. Only for high days (haha) and holidays for me and my OH, maybe like a hot summers day when we have sod all else to do for example, because we don't like it making us sluggish when we have so much to do, and I hate feeling hungry.
I don't think your view is crazy at all. I totally understand why you think smoking weed shouldn't be around children. However I just wanted to put across why I don't think weed itself is all that bad. I wasn't having a go at anyone and to the OP I didn't think SHE was all that wrong for being upset but I still wanted to defend weed because I know so many people who DO smoke it on a regular basis, and they're not disgusting people at all.
Also I know and agree with you that weed isn't fab for your lungs lol. But no more so than smoking which is legal and nobody is calling those who smoke everyday with kids disgusting.
I'm upset because the "pro-weed" posters have been totally attacked on this thread, whereas we're not attacking anyone who thinks weed is wrong. We're just saying why we think it's not so bad, and in turn we're being called disgusting and having crap dragged up from posts made a whole year ago.
