To the post above me. It's not like he's gonna wake up in the middle of the night and smother you, or decide to walk into the wall.
It's weed.
He'll smoke it, have the giggles then the munchies. He'll probably be more fun and want to do you. The worst anyone is gonna do is want to turn Stairway to Heaven up on full blast and accidently wake the baby up. Then all he'll want to do is cuddle LO back to sleep.
Besides that, you can't blow THC in some ones face once the joint or blunt or whatever is gone. And you are in complete contoll of your actions. Experienced, full functioning smokers any way.

thats not true at all. Ive spent many years around pot smokers, some who smoked for a good 20 years plus, and depending on the type of weed, the strength, and the quantity they smoke depends on how it affects them as an individual.

and yes some people get munchies, someone people get the giggles, but ive seen those who have taken a bad hit, i saw a guy jump of a hotel balcony and break his leg because he believed he could fly and no-one was going to convince him otherwise....he certainly never thought he could fly when he was sober.

and some people (and i have first hand experience off this from an abusive relationship which lasted 4 years) get violent.

both the would-be flying man and my ex only did weed. no other drugs, no "hard" drugs. so yes weeds can make you loose control of your actions and or common sense.

so to say EVERYONE who smokes drugs is fine and happy and giggly is completely false. it affects everyone different, just like alcohol.

nor am i saying that everyone who smokes is like this. Ive seen both sides of it.

I wouldn't kick him out (even for the night) or anything like that.
I'd just let him be with himself for the night, look after the baby on your own.
Talk to him in the morning and come to an agreement.

I'd find it acceptable to make an agreement that when he goes out with his friends to smoke, he lets you know in advance, and comes home once he's sobered up. But it's up to you to decide what you'd be comfortable with him doing, and hopfully you can see eye to eye.

I'm not as big of a bitch, I'm more tollerant open and friendly. I've smoked all kinda of bud and smoke a new strand almost every week. Pre sold joints can have pretty much anything in them.
Besides that I never said that EVERYONE will act this way. I said that it's more than likely how some one would respond. When you smoke THC it slows the receptors in your brain. So a simple activity of trying to get off the couch to use the restroom is like a push pull in your brain. Your mind is saying you need to pee but your body is saying it's so far away! Hahaha.

And I'm going to leave it at that because I don't need people that have no idea who I am and that have no importance in my life judge me.

i would still have a puff now and again, but haven't had any at all since i found out i was expecting. i would have a few puffs if i was with my brother if i felt like it sometimes i found it better than to drink loads of booze the effects only last short term and i don't feel crud after a bit of it! but like i say i think you have to be a certain kinda person to be able to smoke it continuously. other wise it just fucks your head up!

I don't smoke myself but not because I think there's anything wrong with it, just because I don't personally like the high. If I enjoyed it, I'd do it.
OH smokes it quite regularly. I don't see a huge issue TBH. As long as both parents arn't completly intoxicated.
The only difference I notice in OH when he smokes is that he's a little bit calmer and a little bit lazier lol.
I can't even tell if he's smoked a joint recently or not unless he tells me.

Its not kept in the house, its not rolled in our house, and its not smoked in our house. My LO does not com in contact with it. OH behaves perfectly fine after wards so the fact that he does i really does not bother me.

I'd be much much more worried about OH being around LO after drinking then I would after he smoked a joint.

I'm not sure if it was you who said pre sold joints can have anything in them - but that's true. If you're going to buy it it should be off someone you know. Plus OH usually buys a lot at a time anyways, off a close friend because 1. He knows there will be nothing in it. and 2. Its cheaper that way lol

I have to say it's not like a parent different when Ive smoked. It's all the same. I'm very aware of what's going on. It's not like I'm vegged out like in the movies. That's for kids.
