just realised i wrote "in the care of a child" but it should be "whilst caring for a child" the former makes it sound like the child is looking after you.

Ive just totally confused myself with the ordering of my words!

I think the child would be better caring for the for the parent in some instances here when they are off puffing the magic dragon!

If the drug has no effect on you, errr whats the point in taking it?! What a waste of money. "Controlling your emotions" you mean watering them down, drowning them out, making them 'numb' ? Not a feeling id like when with my son. Geniunely intrigued, as it sounds like a rubbish excuse to take drugs to me.

Watching OH there really is no difference in his behaviour. He;s a "functioning smoker" as you say. Now , 10 years ago when he was a Teen would have been a different story lol.

About 5 bucks a gram for the crappy stuff, 10 bucks a gram for the good stuff, or if you buy 10 or more at a time you can get the good stuff for 6 bucks a gram.

I agree and i also have to say, i dont think this thread should have turned into someone having to justify if they smoke weed or not. The OP was askaing for advice bout her fella, not opening it up for people to jump on each other.
I would never judge another mother on what they do, i may agrree, i may not, but without being funny, other people can do what they want with their kids, i only care bout mine and as long as he is healthy and happy then i am happy too.
Rant over, just cant be doing with this "your a terrible parent if..........."

No, it doesnt affect us - but that doesnt mean we dont CARE about the child who is around this stuff. I care about kids i see in the street with too little clothes on, toddlers with sunburn, babies eating mcdonalds... I CARE because i dont like to see children disadvantaged, hurt or mistreated. So for a mother to a baby to say she smoked illegal drugs every day, I CARE about that child too! So yeah, you can do what you want, doesnt mean others wont care about what you are doing.

Its so different when you smoke to get high and vegg, then it is to have a nice clean smoke, and are able to function and do things. The crappy stuff will make your head hurt, and it sucks being a work with a weed head ache! Ive got some Lemon Diesel, and its so clean. Very enjoyable.

I am not sayin it is or it isn't ok, i am sayin in my personal experience weed smokers are not in the same bracket as say a heroin user or even someome who is pissed. You say but its illegal, ok it might be, Wine IS legal, would you let someone have 3 bottles and then look after your LO....i would hope not but cos its legal, does that make it ok?

yeah, you might think you can function fine after having a smoke, and you probably can as far as most people could tell, but if you truly believe it's not affected you then you're only fooling yourself. if you had a car accident, i highly doubt the fact you'd had a smoke would be overlooked.

Rhinnaroo and I are both from michigan and here all you have to do is get a medical card and smoking weed is legal! My DH is getting it because he has constant pain from an accident. I personally don't like it at all but I do believe its a personal choice.
But I do have to say it effects ppl differently. As a teen I would black out my DH gets calmer and ALOT nicer BUT he is not allowed around the kids while high.

I currently live in the house that my mother killed herself in, I have to sleep in the bedroom that she did it in, alone, every night.
I refuse to take a perscription drug, because I feel that it what lead to my mothers overpowering depression. She was the perfect woman, and mother.
So in order to deal with my crazy emotions and problems, (Ive gone to several doctors and everyone just says get over it) I smoke Marijuana.
I dont yet have a Medical Marijuana license, because you have to have insurance to see the doctor.
So its bought illegaly.
It is the way that I choose to make it through the day in the house I live in. Which still has most of the same furniture and looks pretty much the same.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to be in here even high? Its the most depressing, awful thing ever.

nobody has said that, I would not let anyone be around lo if that have been drinking that amount!!!!! I don't see why people need drugs or alcohol just to get through the day.

this isn't about legality, it's about allowing your child to be looked after by someone under the influence of a drug, legal or not, why would you do that?

i genuinely hope your choice of therapy doesn't come back and bite you in the arse, as i think it's a potentially dangerous way to deal with your emotions.. particularly as it's illegal.
