Of the name Aphra Grace?

I love the history behind the name (The first female professional writer, rather a strong-in-charge woman).

How do you pronounce aphra? Like AFRA? I like Grace a lot.

Rather strange name has a very fricative sound to it I think.

"Fricative" normally means when you use one consonant to replace another- as in S for F with forced breath, so I'm not sure how a name can sound Fricative lol

I like Grace as well.. dont really like Aphra.. feels like Im saying it wrong.. or like Im not speaking right..

Oh well, I guess that is the way with truly unusual names, it's a hard-sell with most :)

I still love it

I think it is a great name- and if you love it you should go for it. I especially love naming it after Aphra Behn - such a great history to the name. :D

I love it!

Great history and different. I like different names. Am biased about the Grace bit!!:winkwink:

I'm not keen on Aphra.. It won't take long til other kids turn it into Afro!

im not sure about aphra maybe it grows on you i also try and think of names where other kids wont be able to torment although its a great idea having such a unusual name :)
