Sorry to hear about your troubles.

My Dr said that the tests they use are completely useless and the shop bought ones are better. I have no idea where his woman is coming off, but I would ask to see another GP at the practice, or even go to your local drop in centre, especially once you have your bloods back.

If you have thyroid issues they should do every test they can, not fob you off!

btw, I have trouble with female dr's generally as I don't always feel that they listen to your problems, especially when they're female in nature. My GP is also on thyroxine, and when I went to her to complain that despite my dose being 'correct' my hair was still falling out, she just said 'oh it will'. She did another blood test as I was due one, and it turned out that I was slightly under so did need a higher dose. If it hadn't been for that, I would have been bald! Go and see a different Dr, I always try to see a male one now.

Oh wow haha my endo is so nice and helpful but the copay to see him is double so I just went to my gp for this. But once I get my results I will probably go see him, not sure yet.

I can prob answer that myself though..although my doctor was nice and kind, I told him I was pregnant, but now sure about dates, and that I had taken alot of tests and a digi...he still wrote down that I needed a scan to confirm I was pregnant...though I wasn't saying I wasn't sure of pregnancy...oh whatever, stupid doctors, they don't listen, don't worry though it's not like they can deny it for long, then you can say nah-nah-nah-nahnah...

i cant belive how rude that doctor is ! but i sympathise with you in late dec 2009 i took 4 home preg tests all positive but very faint lines, went to my docs and she made me pee in a cup and did a preg test at the docs. She turned around and said it was negative, I asked her if i could see the result and i could see a very faint line. She was still adamant i was not preg and sent me away. I now have a daughter who is over one ! so i was right all along. i switched my docs. congrats on BFP. x

Wow, what a bunch of rude "professionals!" I had a similar incident with child#2. They said they thought I might be pregnant but really wasn't sure based on the urine test. Some of the staff could see the line and some couldn't. I was like, umm, ok. I delivered a healthy baby 8 months later.

I would actually report the doctor to the insurance regulation department through the government.. Those are HIPPA violations talking about you like that, they cannot do that! And the insurance companies will pull her as a provider..

I would get my results and high tale it to a different doctor.. Pregnancy is supposed to be relaxed exciting time and something to look forward to.. a doctor like that could make you dread the entire 9 months.. For what??? her own ego?

So sorry hun, that would really suck..

I have worked with doctors as a medical assistant and I will tell you on my life that those are +++ tests!

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! WONDERFUL NEWS!!!

This doctor needs reported - period!! First of all, she was rude and unprofessional, but secondly - the fact that she mocked you (loud enough for you to hear) is horrendous! Unbelievable!! I'm outraged and this has nothing to do with me! LOL

My dr who has been my dr for 3 years has absolutely made me nuts! I took one of her tests after my af was due, could clearly see a line and shes like 'oh i dunno dont think so maybe wait another couple of days then re test" I had 5 tests all absolutely positive and some even darker than the control line! She still asks me if I have my period, lol and I had a scan yest showing all good! Im looking for another dr cause she has made me paronoid!! hehe

Well, it pretty much looks like u r preggo! I can't believe how insensitive the dr was to you. I can't wait til u can show them to their faces that u r preggo with the hcg levels. I wouldn't continue to go there if that is how they run their practice. How horrible. I would def complain to the company manager, and also tell your insurance company as they would put in a complaint for you. I can't wait to hear tomorrow your levels! Let us know what your hcg levels are...don't forget to ask!

Unfortunately if they said they are doing a blood serum they won't have the hcg levels. A blood serum is where they separate serum from the blood and put it on a regular pregnancy test. It is about like peeing on a pregnancy test except that the serum will detect hcg sooner than urine. It will only be a yes or a no. You would have to have a quantative done to get the exact numbers. Hopefully they aren't using the same stupid tests they used for your urine. I had a lab explain this to me once when I was getting a blood pregnancy test done.

Seriously? Wtf? Why couldn't she do the one that checks the hcg lvl. I'm so irritated. I guess it is time to find another doctor because if I'm going on her saying yes/no then I'm pretty sure she is going to say no today. If she does I'm gunna be so pissed.. I've taken like 10 tests and not one has been negative.

I even told her if I am pregnant I need to get things checked out as soon as possible because of my thyroid meds and she just shrugged it off. The sad thing is she's just a pa not even a dr, no wonder I didn't have to wait to see her... she's not even a real doctor and a b*tch to boot.

that test looks very positive to me. just wait for ur blood test result and switch doctors quickly, if ur receiving that type of care before "pregnancy" what can u expect during?
