When do you get scan date?

Hi everyone, just wondered how far in advance you get your scan date? Obviously most people work and is hard to get time off short notice, I’m only 7 weeks so not expecting it yet but I just wondered how far in advance people have got their scan date? X

I don’t get mind until 12 weeks where I live. I get an ultrasound with my doctor around 9 weeks but then he send your to the specialist since their machines are more up to date!

I got my scan date when I was just over 9 weeks and I've got my scan tomorrow I'll be 13 weeks going by my last scan measurements. So they gave me 4 weeks notice which I thought was really good.

I'm in the US and it matters in your insurance and OB. Some only 1x at 20 weeks. Some any time you want and everything in the middle!

I’m in uk so no insurance etc but thank you anyway

I got mine after my first midwife appointment at 10 weeks. She gave me a referral and I had to call the closest clinic and book the scan myself and said anytime between 11 and 13 weeks is okay as I'm doing the NT scan. I had the choice of a Saturday date so I'm going this Saturday and will be 12 weeks 1 day by then.

I'm in the UK as well hon. With the NHS u shud get ure appointment not long after ure booking in appointment with ure midwife.

I saw the midwife at 8 weeks and the appointment came through within 4 days, at the time I had my midwife appointment my scan was 4 weeks from that date
