When to buy a breastpump?

Hi everyobody!


I was wondering when would be the best time to buy an electric breast pump? The reason I am asking this is because I am scared that something could be wrong with it, and I buy it at the end, and then won't have it when baby is born (for return, shipping internationally, momentarily living outside of the u.s. But will be purchasing from the U.S, as they are not available here).


I am getting a pump so soon because I had a breqst reduction and need to pump from day 1. When do you think would be the best time to get it? Only asking because I am purchasing things a little bit every month

I would say any time is a good time. I got mine from a friend as she stopped pumping after 4 weeks, so I just need replacement hoses. Good thing too as my insurance doesn't cover pumps.
