My LO is 5 weeks old and I still don't feel ready to leave him with anyone else just yet!
How old was your LO when you first left them with someone else and how long was it for?

Heather x

I left Ruby with my mum for an hour a handful of time when she was really little but not for an evening until she was 3ish months.

Still not left her overnight and she's 2 and a half, there's been no reason to.

bella was 8 months old when she was first without me. oh took her out for a couple of hours to get her used to not being with me in preparation for her starting at the childminder's a few weeks later.
i've not left her overnight, that'll probably happen when i give birth to #2.
xx

My husband looked after her for a couple of hours while my mum and I went shopping during her visit, I think she was about 4 weeks old. It was tough, but also felt like the first time I'd let myself breathe since she was born!

I left her with OH for 7 hours when she was a newborn cos I had to go to hospital (not good when breastfeeding!) but since then I've only left her for an hour or so with him or the inlaws until last week when I went out two evenings and left her with OH to put to bed.

i left leo when he was 5 weeks old. left him with my mum for about 4 hours so i could go and get some sleep.

im supposed to be going out for a curry with my friends on friday night for a couple of hours but dont know if im going to go...ive got mastitis so dont know if i will be able to express enough milk (ouch)xx

I left LO at 2 weeks old. I had baby blues soooo bad and OH took me to dinner and a movie while my mom watched her. I felt bad and thought about her the whole time, but i needed the break.

We left her at 7/8 weeks can't remember. In laws had her while we went to dinner with hubby's best mate and fiancee. She was asleep the whole time though!

a couple of weeks ago i let OH's mum look after him so i could get some sleep... was just for a couple of hours, im not sure im ready to leave him any longer but OH wants to be able to go for a meal for my birthday so i will see but i really don't feel comfortable.

When Owen was 3 weeks old I left him with his dad while I went to a funeral,it took about 4 hours and he only had one bottle of ebm while I was gone he slept all day lol.

Never been without him since.

I think she was 3 months and it was a few hours one evening as she slept. Left her with the OH.

I left Noah for the 1st time yesterday (7 weeks) with OH while I went to the gym for an hour, he was at the cafe js down the stairs from the gym as I'm breastfeeding and it meant if Noah woke up hungry then I was only 30secs away :)

I have been leaving LO with OH, 2 days a week since she was 3 weeks old because I had to return to work. And since 4 weeks old shes been spending about 5 hours at a time with nana once or twice a week. She doesn't seem affected by it, usually behaves herself :winkwink: and I feel so much better for having a break from the 3 hourly feeding / sterilising / nappy changing schedule for a while.

The closest I've got to leaving LO is when I had a physio appointment 2 weeks ago (he was 10 weeks old) and he sat in the waiting room with my step mum for 15 minutes before being brought into the room with me after my examination.
I won't even leave him to pop to the shop, he comes everywhere with me. I even had my hair done in a salon whilst BF him!

My first son was different which I think is down to me FF him and being so young. I had a night out when he was 7 weeks old (he wasn't out over night). I'm not ready for that now and he's 12 weeks!

4 days old when I had to leave her in NICU and come home to be with my oldest daughter but we went in EVERY single day til she came home x

i left my angel for 6 hours or so with my grandmother when she was about 5 weeks old. it broke my heart lol, but it was to sort out her passport so we can go join my husband in england by christmas. so it was necessary, i wouldnt have done it otherwise.

i also left her for 4 hours at 8 weeks, but that time it was so i could take a test for my english spouse visa - for the same reason lol. again. wouldnt have done it if i hadnt had to.

i left lo with my mum for a few hours at 4 weeks so i could go to sonisphere, had taken lo during the day but did not want him there after dark... i dropped him off at 6 my mum gave him a bottle at 8.30 and he was in bed asleep by 9 and we collected him at 11pm. i left him with oh at 10 weeks when i went to V but missed him so much i left during eminem so i could be home to give him his night feed...! since then have left him with mil a couple of times for nights out but i feed him and put him to bed before we go out and then we stay there as well, he sleeps the whole time we are out so prob does not even realsise i am not there!

I had a C section under a general antithetic, and diddnt get to see her till the next day :(

But more recently, I left her for 1 hour whilst I went to the Doc's last week. Missed her like crazy!!!
