Nope...sorry! Still here! Doctor has offered a sweep on tuesday if I haven't gone into labour myself by then. Has anyone had one?
If I had to bet on the day baby would arrive, I'd go with Sunday- based on the fact that Emma came at 39+5, and on Sunday, I'll be 39+5 :) Not sure it works that way, but I know I'll be disappointed if I still have no baby by monday!
And when I have the baby, I'll make sure DH comes on here to update :)
 
I had two sweeps. Not too awful really - just a bit uncomfortable for me, not painful. Hope LO comes soon for you!
 
thanks- really fed up with false labour now, contractions got to 10 minutes apart yesterday, now they are really irregular. Still, Emma was up really early this morning, so hoping I've at least got until tomorrow so I can have a sleep in!
 
Hope not! Starting to feel annoyed with family and friends- constantly getting the 'isn't baby here yet?' comments, even though I'm not even overdue! My Mum is the worst. She came home from work on friday to look after Emma, even though I told her that I wasn't in proper labour, and now she is feeling silly going back to work even though baby hasn't been born. I told her I'd call her if I needed her, and her response was "I'm not coming home until I've finished work, I've done that once already" Hopefully she was joking, cause I honestly don't trust anyone else with Emma!
 
LOL! Getting those already, eh? Nice, Cat. Those comments can be a bit...lovely. ;) I know what you meant. My parents are going to have my two when I am in labor. I just feel better knowing they are there. In the US you stay for 48 hours (72 for c-section), so I just feel better knowing they will be spending the night with my mom and dad, since my husband will be with me and the little one those nights. You must sleep in... Sleep, Cat. :D

It'll be here before you know it!
 
Still no baby! And the comments make me want to cry- but the sleep is good, Emma has been in bed till 8.30 again. Loving the sleep :)
 
Oooh, hooray for due dates!! Did you go ahead and opt for the sweep?

Poo... I failed my glucose test with a sign that said EPIC FAIL. I was nearly 120 points higher than the normal blood sugar levels. Blast. That means I'll have to retake the test and do that lovely 3 hour test.

AND...it seems there was low levels in my blood counts of RBC and HGB and Hemocrit... Now it appears I may be anemic.

LOL... Would explain my unusual amount of sleepiness constantly.
 
Bummer!! I thought for sure I'd either show anemic or fail my GTT because I was SO incredibly TIRED for no good reason (oh wait... aside from growing a person! :haha:). My tests showed normal, but that just means I am a giant wuss and there is no good excuse for my tiredness.
Sorry!! What a PAIN in the butt! :(

The massage...I'm not really a massage person! I found it quite painful and uncomfortable! And of course, it didn't work, cause no baby yet!
I am having a sweep tomorrow if baby still hasn't shown up. Not really excited about it, but will definitely go through with it and hope that it brings on labour. My doctor won't let me go too far though, so I will have this baby some time this week! Can't wait!
 
Jackie - thanks. Yeah, I thought I'd pass. Lol. I didn't fail with my first two. But my sugar level was a whopping 251... Ouch. My blood levels are just under what they should be, so maybe she'll have a quick fix. I emailed my doctor after I got the results tonight, so she should respond tomorrow (love the email option). *hugs* Thanks. :D

Cat - you're not excited about the ole membrane stripping? Sounds exciting and joyful! LOL! They don't really offer it here in the US - at least not my previous OBG. They just told me to have lots and lots and lots of sex. Yuck, that's how I'd feel. I've never had a massage either and that doesn't sound pleasing. That's so exciting that regardless you will meet him/her next week! It'll fly by! I'm so excited for you!!! :D

So, my doctor responded back to my email and my sugars were too high. I don't have to take the 3 hour test. I had fasted, so I know it's not anything to do with that. She was sweet and just told me she is ordering me all the stuff to monitor the diabetes, like the stuff to test my blood sugar and everything I need for GD, and is going to refer me to a dietician. She said I will have to follow-up for it now, so I guess she'll explain more to me face-to-face. :( Blast it.
 
Hope it doesn't affect the pregnancy too much- friends have had GD and as long as it is monitored, you shouldn't have to be induced. It seems to vary though depending on the doctor. Hopefully it is easy to manage for you :hugs:
Sweep this afternoon- not excited! I never went over with Emma, and have never even been offered one before. But I'd rather do this than be induced, so just praying that it works. Really want to meet baby!!
