Sooo.... I had a problem with some lazy girl who was preggers and kept ringing in sick and what not and causing me to cover her and what not.

Now, two more girlies are preggers (there is now six in total, I said haven't told them about me!)
These two are extremely lazy and ring in sick about silly things, refuse to work and just wanna sit down, since they said they are pregnant they have been worse. I've picked up their hours which is good as I want my 45 hours a week but I'm getting annoyed as when I'm on shift with them they are SO LAZY.
It's like why be lazy  All six of the girls are lazy sods, they can't all have excuses  OH just wants me to tell work now as I'm 10 weeks gone so I can tell the girls straight that pregnancy isn't an excuse to sit on your bum all shift.
I still don't want to tell work as MIL works there and she still does not know, what do I do guys?
If I leave it another week I may just shout at the lazy girls, as my temper has been really bad so far. Or should I just take it easy at work and lay off the hard work and do some of the easy things? Y'know just follow the sheep.

Personally I would ignore them and get on with my own life. When you're ready tell your MIL and then tell work. They'll all realise in time that you were pregnant when you took over the pregnant girls' hours.

Really, it might be annoying and you're entitled to feel that way, but that doesn't have to affect your actions.

Aww I would lose it with then!! Pregnancy is not an illness!! x

Please worry about yourself and not about the other girls. If you feel that you need to take it easy, then do so. If you feel capable of doing the extra work and want to, then good for you. Maybe you should tell your MIL soon so you can tell work if you need to?

As someone who took time off work because of the nausea and fatigue, I'm sure it sounds silly to others and like I'm milking it all. But I'm not driving to work if I fell asleep just on the way walking from the family room to the bathroom (and I've fallen asleep at the wheel in the 2 times I needed to drive). I feel like a total wimp and awful about it as it is; I'd hate to think others are calling me lazy behind my back but then again, at this point, I could care less what people think. People also don't seem to think I should be nauseous anymore after taking medication ... well, I was still and threw up in the worst week even while on medication. I can see some people looked dubious but they're not the ones who feel like they're going to die from sickness.

Everyone has their story. They might be lazy, but they might not. You can only care about yourself. :)

I completely agree. You need to take care of yourself and do what is best for you and your health. If you're coping well and can cope with the other girls' laziness for a few more weeks until you're ready to tell people about your pregnancy, then do that.
But if you're not feeling well and need to slow down a bit, then think about spilling the beans sooner.
I don't consider myself to be lazy. But I've taken four days off work in five weeks for pregnancy-related sickness and I really needed it.
Everyone copes differently. Do what you think is best. :flower: x

Take care of yourself. I'll tell you something, theres on way in hell I'd be able to work with how sick i am right now.

Doesn't matter if they want to be lazy or even jump off the roof. Your job is about you and your daily performance/work, not them. Focus on yourself and how much you can take on (ie: 45 hours or extra hours) Don't need to bother about what they chose to do or not do.

Everyone does experience different levels of sickness... but some truly do milk it!
I know I don't have really bad MS, but I know I'd be at work regardless and still doing my job (I type this as I'm on BnB at work, LMAO, goofing off instead of doing something).

I wouldn't tell work though unless you need any special accomodations... if you're fine, then you don't need to tell them.
As much as it sucks to cover for the girls when they call in sick, I think its worse that they are there, getting paid but only doing half the work. Confront them on it and tell them if they can't do the work, they need to go home, ask your job to back you up on that.
Not sure where you are located, but even with the great job protections we have in California, work places do not HAVE to accomodate pregnancy restrictions, and most places won't without a doctor's note. Excessive absenteeism even for pregnancy-related illness can still cause you to lose your job.
Maybe look into that in your area or talk to your HR about the issue and suggest they get a temp in to help cover for all the sick pregnant women so its not all on you?
