Would u pay upfront for a bathroom to be fitted

5K seems a lot to me too, Depending what work you want doing, is it just a refurb or are you having things moved around in there?

Errr sure I wrote on here that dh said 5k is a lot. wonder where that went.

He also said to make sure it is a quote and not an estimate because more often than not it will increase quite a bit if they say estimate.

And finally he said places like WIckes etc do made to order abthrooms, might be worth a look x

I agree dont pay the full amount upfront

£5K seems reasonable to me, my mum had hers done about 5 years ago, teeny tiny bathroom and she paid £15K but that included a complete remodel and top of the range stuff, her shower head alone was over £1K, she has more money than sense, especially as she sold the house not long after
