i ended up at my neighbours for coffee and a chat, was nice to have adult company even though we spent the afternoon talking about our babies! There's a sure start near me at the chestnut centre i've been there once will have to go more often i think! Xx

I am Teaching assistant working in a school nursery only do Mon, Tues, Wed. So dont stop all day at work then come home and dont sit down till 8-8.30 some days. Then rest the week i am catching up with house work.

it is at the chestnut centre, it's only a 10/15 walk away. I'm very tired too, Charlie just didn't settle for longer than an hour at a time last night, i think he might have a windy tummy

That's fab! I'm on the list for the one at ours but apparently they wait til they're 12 weeks here I go to a few groups at our surestart centre - little crawlers, which altho he is obv way small and not crawling he has tummy time and I meet other mummies! And the breastfeeding support group too which is a range of ages After baby massage they follow on to baby yoga too which looks like fun.

Aimee - I feel so lucky, mine worked like a dream. A girl i the bed next to me said she had felt pain all through hers but hte midwives had said she should feel something so she assumed it was right - they spotted at the end it hadn't been put in properly

Love the nursery vanessa - nice and neutral too. We wanted to go neutral even though we knew we were having a boy. But somehow I bought blue paint???

Dylan napping away for now we have health visitor coming out this AM so better tidy up

sorry ive not been on much been trying to get odd bits of stuff done as hubby goes in hossy next weds for his op and weve still no dryer as the shop is waiting for the part so its been really hard to get washing done as we live in bungalow so not many radiators

ive decided today is going to be a film day and just relax, then a lovely bubble bath later

good luck with the new course louise .... hubby sister used to work at sure start so hubby used to go help out so he is very clued up on babies ect, i was actually shocked as he knew loads more then me and he was showing me other day where my milk gland was i just thought i was a fat lump

am soo hoping my birth goes like yours lia but ive always been akward so i have no doubt ill be akward in labour

Hi! Hope everyone is ok.

Phoebe has been to nirsery a couple more time for settling in sessions and they say she is doing really well. She is still crying and clinging to me when i drop her off but no tears when I collect her until of course she sees me! She is going tomorrow morning - 8.00 - 1.00 - before starting properly next Monday although I don't start work till the week after. She is only going Monday and Tuesday but I decided to send her the week before I'm at work so can have a trial run re timings etc.

Is her birthday a week tomorrow and I'm so excited. Planning on taking her to Knowsley Safari Park on her birthday and then having a little birthday do for family on the Saturday!

Not so good is the visit from the in-laws next Monday evening! They only live 2 or so hours ago but will only be the 4th time they have seen Phoebe! She is a bit funny re strangers at the moment and considering she will have been at nursery all day I don't think she'll be too impressed to see them!

hope your all okay ?

looking for bit of advice, my 7 month old has gastroenteritis and streaming with cold (i've not slept for 3 days)

any idea what will help with his snotty nose as he cant take the stuff doc gave him to rehidrate him as cant breath while drinking, also cant drink any milk

any advice helpful, thankyou x x

Aww hun poor thing Have you got an aspirator? We called it a boogie sucker. they do really well at getting the snot out from the nose and helping them breathe. Also sailine solution from the chemist thins it out and helps them clear it xx
