Young TTC-ers

Hey im 20 been trying for 8 months this month and still no BFP, I do have PCOS and started eating healthier and now my cycles are slowly coming down from 40 days sept-oct-no-dec-jan-feb then march was 35 days and april was 31 days so they are regulating what makes it alot harder to pin point my big O so stressful times for me and tiring times for DH!!

I went Dr's last month and she has put me on metaformin,Im not over weight or anything she just thinks it might help me as I am well in my BMI. If we get to two years of TTC my Dr will send me to a specialist. Each month though I seem to be giving up hope because it seems like we have been trying for ages.

I'm 22 and hubby is 31 on month 6 of ttc. Meeting with doc on June 21 to talk about clomid.

can you go to the docters if you have only been ttc for 6months? i been trying for 13months with no luck do you think i should see docter ?

Depends on your doc. I would if I were you. Are you charting? I've only have two AF's brought on by Provera since Jan. I'm now on CD60 with no sign of AF. Theres no point in trying if my cycles are so wacky. They don't think I'm ovulating and that's why I'm going in.

If you're not charting I'd sign up through my ticker...it helps alot. https://www.fertilityfriend.com/ticker/35283d/ttc.png

buy the book taking charge of your fertility...i think every girl on the face of the planet should read this book. I learned soooo much. Sign up through my chart and start taking your temps. It explains how to do everything. Its a bit confusing at first but the book and the website help. My Ovulation Chart

are any of you other young ttc-ers utterly fed up with being told to 'live you life' and 'have fun' because 'you have pleanty of time' surely TTC is a personal decision?!!!

Whats really annoyed me is i keep being told it by somone who got pregnant by accident and didnt want to keep the baby (she did in the end) - just cause she wouldve rather waited does not give her the right to lecture me! :growlmad:

Sorry rant over...

My OH was told by his mother the other week that maybe we shouldnt be trying and for him to finish his degree and for me to finish college and university, and also asked was I going back on BCP after my MC.

It totally upset me (OH Told me later that day) ... I mean who is someone to tell me when I should and shouldnt start a family?! I can understand in a way where she's coming from.

I work full time and go to night school twice a week (2years left then university) my OH is 36 and in his last year at University. He wants children sooner rather than later no matter what our situation is, I know for a fact we will be good parents and will bring our children up in the best way possible .... Sorry for the rant, people just piss me off who don't know half of what you want.

i know what you ladies mean about ppl telling us to live our life and blah blah i actually got in a fight with my brother the day before my surgery and he said we were ruining our life.....

I'm not necessarily "young" - I'm 25 - but I'm really, really tired of people telling me the same thing, love. I haven't told anyone except my mum and sister that we're TTC right now, but people know I want kids someday (in the near future) and it's pissing me OFF when they say I'm so young and need to live my life. Excuse me? lol.

I know exactly what you mean angel - its not nice to be in that situation, but nice to know someone also understands - if that makes any sense!?

Haha yes it makes sense :)

My OH is not getting any younger, I may only be 22 but I have never been one for the clubbing and all that lot. I have a mature head on my shoulders, plus I don't think people have ever thought that we have already discussed how our careers would pan out and to be honest it works out well :)

Glad I am not the only one in this boat! xx

hey. im sarah im 21 & hes 22 :) weve been together for over 4 years.
been ttc 4 months now!
Good to know im not alone in this..
i was on the pill 6 years before we decided to ttc. thought i would have got my bfp alot sooner than this. x

Hi everyone! I'm Ree, 22 and have been with my partner for 6 years in december :)
we have begun our TTC journey today after having my mirena coil removed!
This group is a great idea!
I know what you all mean about peoples opinions on young people wanting to have a family - this is all i have ever wanted - why should someone elses opinions count when we both know what we are doing?
Hope to get to know you all a little better!
Ree x
