Just wondered if those that are BLW could post some of their pics & say what age there LO's are in the pics.

I'm so stuck on what to give Finley it would be nice to see what others do x

Ooh we've got loads of pics to share (in fact you may regret asking :haha: lol)

In no particular order:

We've got hundreds of photos since we started BLW, so those are just a few!

So far Toby has 'tried':

Bread/Toast (both wholemeal and white, with butter/plain)
Pitta bread
Homous
Rice cakes (plain, or with soft cheese)
Fish fingers
Chicken leg
Chicken goujon
Rusk
Avocado
Broccoli
Carrot
Soup
Baby corn
Green beans
Roast potato
Banana
Strawberries
Weetabix
Porridge
Fromage frais
Yoghurt

I *think* that is it. I bought some muller little stars fruit jelly pots the other day and they are the only thing he hasn't been interested in so far. Oh, that and lettuce, he stole a leaf off my salad when we'd just started putting plates within his reach and he tasted it and then quickly discarded it in disgust! :haha:

Sorry, forgot to say we only started BLW a fortnight ago, so all those pics are taken within the last couple of weeks

From yesterday. She had yogurt and a rice cake for breakfast. 7 months 1 week and 1 day.

She has broccoli a lot because she loves it. She's also tried sweet potato, cauliflower, steak, avocado, pears, banana. Tomorrow we are trying a baked potato.

Hmmm - I'll see what I've got. We do a combination of TW and BLW (TW at breakfast, BLW at lunch, mix of spoon and finger foods at teatime) but I try to give pre-loaded spoons where I can and they are technically BLW lol.

Piccies below - first 2 were taken in the last week or so (malt loaf and tagliatelle) and the other two were taken at some point when he was 4.5-5 months- I've been giving him finger foods since day 1 in an attempt to get the BLW in even though I've had to wean early. As you can see, he's always been pretty darned good! lol

So far Earl has had:

All types of pasta
Garlic bread (favourite of his lol)
All types of fruit and veg you can mention
rice cakes
breadsticks
Organix things :haha:
Rusk
Digestive biscuit
sandwiches with ham, cheese, philly, tuna
toast
chicken pieces
cold turkey pieces
weetabix
porridge
yoghurts of all flavours (particularly likes Apricot Petit filous lol)
scotch pancakes
English muffins
bagels
crumpets
scrambled eggs
baked beans
jacket potatoes
potato wedges (homemade)

He basically eats whatever we're eating - I've just omitted all salt from cooking and made him a seperate portion. He loves most everything - trying to think - oh he didn't like the malteser he was offered at Easter! :haha:

The possibilities are endless with foods - my motto is, if it's good enough for my body, it's good enough for his. It's actually made us eat more healthily all around. Before weaning Earl we wouldn't have a veg unless it was necessary. Now we have them at virtually every meal lol

i'm just starting this with Fin (on medical advice) and cant wait to take some of these pics lol

This is completely unoriginal, but it was Niamh's first dinner with us! Chicken, mash and carrot (by this point the chicken was all on the floor though.:dohh:

OT sorry but I'm actually laughing out loud at the pic of Ruby and corn on the cob, Kat! That is hilarious! What is so offensive about corn on the cob, it's funny isn't it, my Ruby thinks boiled potatoes are completely disgusting, yet they're completely bland. Random.

Just had a nosey and that corn on the cob pic is brilliant! It looks like an ideal birthday card that should have some witty comment!!

haha.. i know.. its weird, anything else she just shoves on in there, but now as soon as she sees the corn, that happens!

ive tried her with it about 5 or 6 times, hoping it will pass, but it doesnt show any signs of lessening, not sure if i should persist any more to be honest!

This is Annabelle at about 6.5 months eating her favorite philly on toast!! Oh and some fruit! YUMMY!!

Awwww thank you so much for posting these makes me feel better about doing BLW when we do start weaning him!I was all bleh over what I should be feeding him etc Going on hols when he's 7months and thinking BLW might actually be easier than spoon feeding!

Btw thanks rebaby for the idea of putting LO on the bumbo to feed him! I was so stuck -he doesn't really like the high chair and the rocking chair was getting too gross!

Today I put the bumbo on the table and fed him with us both at eye level! He loved it and it's much less messy too!

wow thats alot of food everywhere kinda makes me not want to BLW lol I am sorta scared Carter will choke alot if i just go give him a peice of toast or something do your guys kids have a tooth already? He doesnt but were expecting one soon ugh god i hope so teething is brutal

nope.. ruby had no teeth when we started, actually they dont need them at all... their little gums are pretty efficient as it is!

My LO gagged a little today on a piece of rice cake. Was a bit scary but was over in a flash and he was back to normal :/
