Me and OH haven't dtd since we got our bfp. We sat down and had a chat about it and agreed that we would refrain from until we get past first tri just to be certain

Thanks for the support girls. I've calmed down a lot now. I'm trying to think about all of the cases where it doesn't mean bad news such as in Deb's case. She spotted then saw a heartbeat.

Glad to hear you've calmed down a bit.

I spotted several times and saw a perfect heartbeat! Brown, just like you, and mostly to be blamed on my hubby (ahem). He's banned as well, for now, but he's fine with that!

A recent study found that women who had spotting, and saw a heartbeat had nearly a 97% rate of going on to a healthy normal pregnancy (I'm obsessive, I searched for that!).

I went to my acupuncturist after it happened - she gave me some herbs and told me to rest more. No more spotting since!

Aww sweetheart- just saw this. Just want to echo what everyone else has said. Spotting after sex is VERY common!! You said it's now gone, so focus on that! I know it's hard. We are here with you

Aww hun im right there with you if you look back at my previous posts in this pregnancy see just how many times I gave up with spotting and brown discharge and all the time the answers were its normal, which is hard as for me any bleeding in pregnancy is not normal. I sometimes think with all the losses we have had there is something which needs to get out.

As for sex, we havent since April and I dont intend to either until I feel happy and safe even now at 18 weeks im still concerened.

If you go to A&E try and make it a weekday that way they may scan you at a weekend here I know its a no-no they send you home and tell you to comeback !

I know its hard to but try and think positive xx

I'm sure your cervix is just a bit tender from the sex, glad you remembered my panic lol. We've DTD since with no more spotting, so just try and relax.

I had brown and even red streaks in my CM up until 10 weeks. It was soo worrying but everything seems to be ok xx

Hey Beadette I had an internal scan done at 5 weeks and I spotted some brown blood afterwards for a couple of hours. Really does sound like what I had. Take care I'm sure everything will be fine! xx

I had brown watery spotting at 6 weeks and convinced myself it was over after my previous mc. It lasted a few days on and off but saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks and am over 25 weeks now.

There is still plenty of hope, and this comes from someone who is brutally honest, lol!

hope no one minds me popping in, was lurking and had to post to the OP, first of all to send you big , i bled practically all the way through my pg with ds, plenty of worries and hospital stays /visits later, he was born perfectly healthy 5days late in the end in fact

Ok so it came back a little but was straight after straining for a number 2 - I know that's TMI but you girls are used to it! It's still browny water like coffee.

I know I shouldn't strain to go loo but I'm constipated yet my tummy feels poorly like I need to go. I'm all bloated.

I might have to get some fibregel - ew
