30-somethings TTC #1 Testing and Support Thread!

I was away for the weekend so been trying to catch up.

Spring - sounds like a fabulous day!

:hugs: ejay

lots of :dust: Lucky

Hope to see lots of BFPs for this group soon.

:hi: ladies!

So, still in waiting land, but just wanted to share a quick story that might make you mad. I was at a barbecue over the weekend and 3 girls at the party were pregnant. 3!

Anyway, of course everyone asked me when we were going to start trying...normally, I just say something like "soon," but this time decided to just come out with it and say we've been trying for a while. Well, one girl asked how long and I was kind of embarrassed and didn't want to get into it and have everyone feeling all badly for me, so just said "oh, a little over 6 months." This was a fib because really it's been over a year, total, now...but again just didn't want the pity.

Anyway, this girl's reaction was "hold old are you?" So, I told her I'm 32 and she FREAKED OUT!!! She gasped and said "Are you kidding me??!! I hope that doesn't happen to me when I'm that old!" I really had no idea what to say...this girl 1. is obviously not a good friend to me and 2. has no idea what she's talking about.:growlmad:

Anyway, just thought I'd share...kind of therapeutic. Hopefully no one else will get offended, but the whole thing was just so ridiculous I had to get it out!

hey girls, just wanted to stop by and let you know that i had my HSG this morning, I had zero pain with it  I heard its only painful if your uterus goes into spasm, which mine did not.
Anyway both tubes are completely open and all is great, I am on board for the IUI in about a week!! :happydance:

Hope your well and we see some more BFPs soon

:hugs:

Great news!! Also, your kitten pic is soooo cute!

:growlmad: oh my god, how rude!! What a witch. Lets hope she doesnt face the same problems when she does decide to try.

And 32 IS NOT OLD! (Not because I am 32 of course :winkwink:)

What a moron that girl is!

I agree 32 is not old...in fact I keep forgetting I'm only 32 and keep thinking I'm 33. :haha:

Just popping in to say hi and congrats to Magpie on the BFP!

:hugs: to all those who the witch got. I think I will be joining you as BD has been rubbish this month for one reason and another!

MyTurnYet - that girl sounds really thoughtless and 32 is def not old - I will be 34 this year and a lot of my friends who are my age haven;t even started trying yet.:growlmad:

Hi everyone I haven't been on for a while. I hope everyone is doing well! I was feeling a bit down because I got AF cramps the other day and my temperatures are going down. In fact, my temps are almost identical this month to last month so I'm sure I'm out:cry:
I was really trying not to be too hopeful- and I know it sounds silly- but I really wanted an aquarius baby and my due date would have been my grandma's birthday....it all seemed perfect....anyway I'm thinking positive (and I'm thinking about wine, coffee, and lots of junk food) :happydance::happydance:
Lucky D- let us know how things go, you and I are almost on the same cycle day!!

That was very rude and 32 is not old and neither is 35, my age!

Thanks, ladies! I knew you all would understand!! :friends: Tried to tell DH and he said it was rude, too, but doesn't quite get it as well as a woman, I don't think.

Smurfette, I was hoping for a Feb. baby, too...pretty much my entire extended family (and even DH) was born in Feb., so it seemed perfect! Won't be def. out until Friday, but not feeling it's my month, either, at the moment. And I agree, think about :wine: and :coffee: and :icecream: and :pizza:!

:dust: to all you ladies!

30'S IS YOUNG!!! :happydance:

BTW, MrsKCBrown, love your sig.! Is anything too hard for God? Every time I see it, makes me feel all warm & fuzzy and hopeful. :flower:

MyTurn - you are awesome, young, and fertile. That girl is an idiot. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that at the BBQ - three pg gals?! Good Golly! And I thought I was a bump magnet!

Wanting4 - MyTurn posted a pic of the world's first pg man on another thread and it put me into hysterics! We also know a gal that has been trying for a long time and just got her bfp after changing her pic to a woman's bump. So we've been trying out different bump pics and I found mr. bump and thought he'd be perfect. Yup - any day now I'll have my blue, bandaged bump  sa weet!

:hugs: Smurfette :hugs: I know how you feel as I've been there before, but i'm still holding out hope for ya :flower:

Wow, this has been a busy thread since I was last on! So :hi: everyone!!!

I want to give you a million hugs SquirrelGirl :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:. And not only because AF came but for your awesome attitude!! Love you already girl :). I know that :bfp: will have no choice but to drop in your basket this cycle

Awwwww thank you everyone for all the support! I really appreciate it! Love BnB!!!

To whomever was asking about the subscription and whether BnB cost money (sorry, thought someone would answer by the time I got to the end, so I didn't keep track of who asked).. No, this site is free!! But when you post on a thread, you become "subscribed" to it. You can see which threads you're subscribed to under "User CP" at the top left. In the left hand nav on that user CP screen, there is a link to "list subscriptions" if you want to see everything you;re subscribed to regardless of whether there are new posts or not.

Something weird happened yesterday as a bunch of us lost some of our subscriptions to our favorite threads. I went searching for one after thinking, wow it's been a quiet weekend!!!! only to find new posts I hadn't read yet!!!

just popping in to let you know AF got me last night properly, I am not too upset as I was expecting it.

will catch up later xx

GRRRRR Stupid :witch: :trouble: Apparently she did not heed my threat. Now I must make good on it.... Good thing I'm up for a fight! :trouble:

Good news on the HSG! That's awesome! You know, I've read that ladies become a lot more fertile the month after the HSG--seriously! Something about it helping to clear everything out. So :happydance::happydance::happydance: So much luck and good thoughts headed your way!!

:hi: ladies!

Grrrrr, stupid people...... Here's my grr story for the day, non-TTC related. Went to the grocery store, came out and a lady with the car next to mine was loading up the passenger side of her car... Well, she had her door opened up and resting on my car! Um. helloooooooooo. So I came up, stood there, she didn't do anything. So I took her door off my car and she said "oh sorry" um, no you're not. You're only sorry that I caught you. Otherwise you wouldn't have rested your car door against my car! I dont' know why that ticked me off so bad, it was just the flippant response of sorry. If you were really sorry, you wouldn't have done that in the first place...

Anyway didn't see any damage, but it just is rude!!! :growlmad:

Maybe it's the AF hormones that are making me more irritable... but sheesh, I try to be considerate, so I have a low tolerance... :nope:

BTW, MrsKCBrown, love your sig.! Is anything too hard for God? Every time I see it, makes me feel all warm & fuzzy and hopeful. :flower:

Thanks!:flower: I try to find all the hope that I can on this long road of TTC that I have been on! My pastor preached a sermon on that title and its the one sermon that has stuck with me consistently.:hugs:

Hey everyone! Wow, lots of posting going on on this thread - love it!

Ejay - so sorry love :hugs::hugs: I know you were expecting it, but hugs all the same :hugs: Hope you are doing ok xx

Britt - that is awesome news! So glad that it went well for you and you didn't get any pain. Good luck for the IUI!

Hey mrskcbrown - that's annoying about your subscription - it has happened to me too with another thread - grrr! Hope you are doing well and that O comes along soon!

Springflower - sounds like a great day off! Yay for buying new summery tops!

Waiting4Baby - wow, alcohol free - you go girl! Nice one! It's always good to give your body a bit of a break - hope it's not too hard!

hey bonjo - thanks for the baby dust! Hope you had a nice weekend away.

MyTurn - that is super rude! I can't believe she said that to you. How old is she anyway? My Mum had my youngest brother at 38 with no problems whatsoever...32 is hardly too old!

Hey JJay, nice to see you! Sorry you are not feeling positive about your BD action this month...I guess you never know though!

smurffette - I totally understand how you are feeling. But remember that annoying thing about how AF symptoms and pg symptoms are often the same...it ain't over yet! Fingers crossed for you love xx

Jaimie - love your new bump avatar! Nice thinking outside the square there! I love how you call yourself a 'bump magnet' - I think it means that you will get one of your own very soon xx

Hey Squirrel - sorry you had a rude person to deal with at the supermarket...never fun when that kind of stuff happens :hugs:

I love reading this thread! You are all so lovely and supportive and positive.

I am doing fine - still no sign of AF, but I soooooo feel that she will arrive any minute now! Today is the day that I would expect her if I factor in the fact that I O'd two days late. So will wait out the day - and if no sign by tomorrow I think I'm going to have to test. Have had cramps and have super sore BBs, but I often have those before AF anyway so don't think that means anything super special.

Reading that back I just realised that I tend to go over-the-top with my exclamation points! I use them for everything! Sorry everyone!!!!!!!!!

Myturn, that girl is such a cow! And an ignorant cow at that!! 32 is not at all old! I turn 33 next week, and I don't feel old. Gosh, I hate ignorant people.

LOL....Squirrel, people like that do get under your skin...especially with PMS/AF hormones raging. So very annoying when people don't show regard for others.

Still keeping fx for you LuckyD!!!! :hugs:

Morning Ladies

Wow - Even being at home I can't keep up with this thread! Have been trying to remember everything thats been said, but have just discovered I just have to scroll down when in a reply. :dohh::dohh:

Jamie - Love love love your Mr Bump pic! Very cool.

SquirrelGirl - Thanks t was me that was confused about subscriptions! Glad we don't have to pay!

MyTurnYet - That was a horrible thing for her to say, how insensitive! Regardless of what she's thought she should have realised it was not a nice thing to say! I would have been fuming! And 32 is not old!!! Stupid women!

Lucky - Keep the !!!!'s coming. I'm a big fan  Am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I'm officially 1dpo, am just goona to to chill....:coffee:

HI Everyone- thanks for the support!!
Well it looks like AF arrived:cry::cry: It is so weird because I'm only on CD24 and my cycles are always either 27 or 28 days long. I've seriously never had a cycle this short in the entire time I've charted (over a year). I'm pretty sure it isn't IB because the blood is red and I've got cramps and a back ache. Booooo!
I'll wait and see if it continues on to tomorrow.
Lucky D I hope you wake up and get a BFP test!!!
