35 and over and ltttc for baby #2 for over 2.5yrs!

Thankyou MWBs. I hope you have a good year.

Bex you've got lots going on. How long for the builders to be finished? I have a man coming to do my garden on Monday. It needs reorganizing and an area to put DSs toys that just kill the grass.

Ooo good luck tommy........Keeping everything crossed that a bfp is coming your way!!

Builders will be here until Christmas so it is definitely going to be crazy!

Hi everyone I hope It is ok for me to join :) my name is Sarah, I'm not 35 or over I'm 26 but tommyg told me to pop over As me and my OH have been ttc #2 for almost 4 years. Our son Thomas took 2 years to conceive so I am used to LTTTC.

my doctor sent me for testing for PCOS, underactive thyroid and diabetes As I was showing a lot of symptoms but I have none of these. My OH will be getting himself checked out soon. I am carrying more weight but find It hard to believe that It has stopped me conceiving for 4 years!!!

Hi sequeena...welcome to the thread! Great to have you here. ...this definitely is the place to be. People on here completely understand what it's like to struggle for #2 so welcome! :)

I mean, obviously not nice to be in the situation, but the thread itself is great!

Sequeena thanks for joining us. 4 years TTC is hard going. Don't blame yourself for not getting help earlier if it wasn't for my age and knowing the NHS is a bit slow I would most likely have left it a bit longer too. I get referred for tests after 6 mths of trying, but then I've always had irregular cycles so it would have been daft for me to have waited.

AFM first injection of this cycle done, 2 more to go before my scan on Thursday.

Good luck tommy! Everything crossed for you that this time will work.

Orchid - How are you doing?

Hope everyone is well, like to check back on you guys regularly as you were all such a help to me.

Hi girls,

Sorry I haven't been on for a while - things have been pretty busy! My parents arrived a week ago then we moved from the place we were staying at on Saturday to come over to the mainland for our last little bit of holiday then on Saturday we finally move into our new house! So lots going on and of course I am feeling pretty crappy and sick and super exhausted so it's definitely not the easiest but I am not complaining!!

I had my scan on Thursday which turned out to be very bittersweet. It turns out that I am pregnant with twins but one of them is measuring very small and isn't going to make it. So I am very torn as I am so delighted one is doing great (measuring on time with a heartbeat of 130) but so sad about the one I am going to miscarry who also had a heartbeat. Since I got the news I am trying to stay positive and focus on the fact that I am pregnant which is all we ever wanted but it's hard. I know it's mother nature's way so I am just trying to accept that and focus on the other baby staying healthy. I go back for a scan in just under 3 weeks and by then the Dr doesn't expect baby #2 to be there.

I gave in and started on my anti nausea meds on Friday as it was just getting worse and worse and I decided there was no point trying to struggle through, especially with so much going on. Thankfully they are helping a lot which is great.

I hope you are all doing well - I am excited for you Bex & Wish for your upcoming procedures. I'll be thinking of you both on Friday :hugs:

Tommy - I am so happy that your IUI is underway and just hope and pray you have no further complications or setbacks....

Cookie - congrats on having another boy!! I am so excited for you! I used to always desperately want a girl as my 2nd but now I see lots of advantages to having a boy as well - not to mention that's all DS asks for!! I'm so happy things are going well for you!

Sequeena - welcome to the thread! This has been a lifeline for me over the past few years. The girls are amazing but I hope your stay is a short one.

Braven - lovely to hear from you! Good luck with the upcoming school year! My DS starts Kindergarten next month.

Sorry if I have missed anyone but a big hello to you all! Once we are settled in the new house I'll be much better at keeping up to date and cheering everyone on x

Oh Orchid, that's so tough, on one hand you are over the moon that you are pregnant, but so sad that it looks like you are going to lose one. But great news that one is measuring bang on with a good heartbeat. Is there any way number 2 can catch up? Are you due another scan to check it or do you just have to wait til your 12 week scan? (do you have 12 week scans where you are, wasn't sure if they do a similar schedule to us). Yes take the tablets, don't suffer needlessly. The first trimester is tough, but the end is in sight.

Good luck with the move, don't over do it.

Thank you, I am happy that it's a boy, the sadness I feel at times about not having a daughter I feel is seperate, I am very happy to be having a little boy and I've already started buying bits, my fav buy is a a sleepsuit saying Little Bro. I'm so flippin grateful to be pregnant and feel very very lucky. My son talks about his baby brother all the time, and my hubby said something about his boys which I found too adorable. Just under 3 weeks til my 20 week scan, so things are moving along nice.

xxxx

Hugs Orchid, I'm sorry to hear about you losing one of the babies. Can't imagine how that must feel. Regardless of whether you're just thankful to be pregnant, you still feel the grief of it and that's okay. Hugs.

Cookie you are nearly half way. Time is flying by.

Braven what have you planned for daughters birthday?

Afm 3 injections done getting used to it. Scan Thursday.

Tommy, just a small party with our family and my best friends family. She's very excited. Wanted a Curious George party. Can't believe she's almost 4.
