35 and over and ltttc for baby #2 for over 2.5yrs!

Good luck Tommy! Busy day today getting ready for LO's party 😊

Enjoy it Braven, kids just grow so fast, I have no idea where time is going to.

Orchid: Sending hugs your way. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Tommy: I'm excited for you! I'm praying this will be it!

:hi: ladies - hate to make this just about me...but recovery from this LAP is a pain to say the least...

I apologize for taking so long to update on my surgery... I have been sleeping a lot and this is only the third time out of bed for me today and technically i go from bed to couch !! I did not get to talk to the doctor - he spoke to my husband so I only know what my husband is telling me until my follow up appointment in two weeks... he did not remove both cysts (masses) completely from my right ovary- I guess he left part of one because he was afraid it would damage the lining of the ovary?? and he apparently burned quite a bit of endo and he had pictures of that but it didn't seem like a lot but I guess its better that he burned it off... he didnt say where exactly all the endo was - I guess I will get more details at my next appt... the good news is that the left tube is open (i was told it was closed during my HSG) - he said its just slow... so that is what I know.. I two good size gushes of blood yesterday but it seems to have slowed down today which is a good thing... kinda forcing myself out of bed...trying to stop laying in the bed all day!!
no :sex: for two weeks... this cycle will be crazy anyway - since I have no idea what will happen after the surgery cyclewise...

hope everyone is doing great!! FX for you Tommy for Monday! :happydance:
bex glad to hear you are recovering too!!!

Wish it's fine to make a post all about you, esp when it is a massive post with a huge update.

Hope you recover quickly. I think you are probably right he hasn't wanted to risk damaging the ovary itself. Was your other ovary clear of cysts?

I wish you a speedy recovery. But please listen to your body, if it wants to lie down and rest please let it. Remember its working really hard to repair itself. Take time of if you need it. When is your follow up appointment?

Given DH is now enlightened that the pill has been stopping you from getting pregnant. Do you think he will feel any different about trying any fertility aids? Yes, that is a deliberate change of term nothing really "treats" fertility just gives sperm and egg a helping hand to meet and the implanting is 100% down to God.

Wish....hope your recovery is smooth. I'm starting to feel a bit better now after a a few days of rest (so boring!!) Its amazing how quick your body heals if you give it the chance to xxx

Bex - wishing you a speedy recovery, good news that it was successful.

Wish - Oh poor you, sounds like it's a tough time, must be hard only getting information second hand, hopefully once you have your appointment you will have good news.

Tommy - hows everything going? How long til you know if it worked?

Orchid - hope you are doing OK.

Sequena - wishing you all the best, must be tough trying for so long xx

I'm doing good thanks Tommy, turns I have an anterior placenta again so not really feeling movement which is annoying. 2 weeks til my 20 week scan, feels like it's taking forever to get here. I do worry, I think mainly because I'm not feeling the baby. I'm part of a fb group of women expecting around the same time, there are first time mums feeling their babies and here I am pregnant with number 2 and only get the odd twitch. I know it's expected with an anterior placenta but still frustrating. Oh well will get there eventually.

Got a bad knee, can barely walk and it's swollen, the weird thing is I haven't done anything to it. Just suddenly started hurting and quickly got worse. Been a recluse this weekend, did pop to the shop yesterday but as I stepped out of the door my knee gave way and almost fell on my face. Doctor mentioned arthritis which personally I think it's abit extreme. Apparently it's ligaments and my knee is really grinding which is shouldn't be. Oh well hopefully it will improve and won't plague me through the rest of my pregnancy.
Xx

:hi: ladies

cookie - ouch about that knee!!! so weird that it just started hurting and swelled up over night!!! I hope it will go away as quickly as it came!! Congrats on a little boy!!! I only had girls - so I don't know what I would do with a bo,y!!!:haha:

Tommy - TODAY IS THE DAY!!! keeping everything crossed for you that all goes perfect and you get your BFP in about 10 days!!!! :happydance:

Orchid - remind me again when your scan is?? how you feeling??

bex - I am trying to make my recovery smooth... I am not good at the resting thing!!! what is your next step? how long do you have to wait to get going again??

Braven - how was the birthday party? did she want a themed party?

:hi: eyemom, mwb, isaac and Sequeena... and everyone else!!!

AFM: back at work today... if I could sit at my desk and never leave it I think I would be good...but getting up and walking is hard those first few steps... I am very swollen on my left side - which confuses me a little since the masses were on my right ovary - but maybe they had to do some work on that left tube?? I looked the pictures the Dr gave my husband and there was endo everywhere it seems - so I am sure that is why the surgery took twice as long as it was supposed too...it was a three hour procedure...I am also trying to just take ibuprofen today and not any powerful stuff... just hoping everything is healing up in there...
my husband leaves on Sunday for two weeks - so even if I had a good cycle this time - its all for bust... so maybe sometime in September we can actually have a cycle we can try again...

Happy Monday Ladies!!! Hope you have an amazing week!!

Wish...i can't believe your back at work already. I've been signed off for 2 weeks and i fully intend on taking it!! Doc said nothing about waiting to try so i think we can get going straight away. If my cycles arent disrupted too much then i should ov this week so it will just be a case of if i feel well enough to DTD!! We plan to try naturally for a few months anyway. After Christmas we will reassess and see about ivf again if we get there

Tommy - good luck for today. Its been a journey but you have finally got to this point!! EVERYTHING is crossed for you xxx

Cookie - lovely to hear your update. Get lots of rest...im now well practiced in doing nothing all day!!

bex - believe me when I say if my doctor had offered ANY time off I would have jumped at it... but he didn't he says he does them on Friday so his patients don't miss work :nope: he didn't say when we could try again - he just said total pelvic rest for two weeks... (and when the two weeks are up myhubby will be gone) so I will get plenty of pelvic rest - like close to 4 weeks worth!! enjoy your time off for sure!!!

Tommy - HOH for you today!!! this is the one!!! FXFXFX

Wish your doc needs someone to go poking around inside him and see how long he takes to recover. Can your GP not give you a line for a few days? you need to rest, hugs lady. Hope you are able to get back to ttc soon.

Cookie I wonder if the hormone relaxin could be messing with your knee, its normally the pelvis (spd) that it messes up.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss I had anterior placenta too, but nobody told me I read it in my notes nor was I warned the feeling I had was less than normal.

Bex how are you recovering?

AFM Thankyou for all the well wishes I really appreciate it. IUI appears to have gone well, DH had excellent sample, it is now wait and see. Scan in the morning just to double check I have ovulated, I'm sure I already have boobs say so.

I was thinking the same it's all gone quiet.

AFM I'm still in the boring part of the 2ww. Will see what next week brings.

Tommy - I don't know, but I'm thinking the knee could be pregnancy related. I Googled it and found alot of women had left knee problems in pregnancy. Mines still bad so going back to the doctor next week.

Keeping everything crossed for you Tommy. Xx

Orchid - how are you doing?

How's everyone else?

Apart from the bad knee I'm doing OK. Got my 20 week scan a week tomorrow so can't wait. X

Hi all. Recovery going well here..am pretty much almost back to normal. Wearing jeans today for first time since op! Woop...small victories hey. I actually cant wait to get my period so can start trying again...will be going all out between now and Christmas to give nature it's best chance now my 'passages' have been sorted.

Tommy - hate being in the tww but exciting times. ...when is AF due for you and when do you plan to test?

Cookie - can't believe you're at 20wk scan already!!!! You pregnancy is going so quick...although i know it wont seem that to you!

Wish - how's your recovery going?

Orchid - any news???

Hi everyone else!

:hi: My recovery is going fine - I won't get cleared from the doctor till the 9th... so still a bit to go... Have no idea about my cycle and my hubby and i are apart for 3 weeks so I am just gonna wait it out and hope everything still works in there!!!

Bex - FX your surgery cleared up the problem and you will be preggo by Christmas!!! (or sooner)

Tommy - ahh the TWW - I am impressed by your resolve not to test... I understand your reasoning just I have no will power - any symptoms you can speak of??

cookie - 20 weeks - just doesn't seem possible!! hope you get some good pics of your little boy!!

:hi: eyemom, lanet, orchid, and anyone i missed!!

making cheesecake cupcakes for my nieces wedding!! hoping for the best!!!
Have a great week everyone!:hugs:

Bex, Wish I'm glad to hear you are both making good recoveries.
Wish sorry you & DH are going to be apart, you really do seem to draw every short straw possible. Just when you can start trying again. Hugs Mrs.

How is everybody else?

AFM 8dpo and taking a cold. Dr Google tells me it could be a sign but I'm guessing it's more people adding 2&2 to get 5.

Braven how are you doing? Are you any further forward with anything ?

Bex and Wish, hugs for you both xxx

Tommy good luck I hope this is it!!

AFM I had my internal scan today. I have enlarged ovaries and lots of cysts in both ovaries... so yeah. I need to see my doctor next week. I am due to ov next week... not sure how that works with the cysts...
