35 and over and ltttc for baby #2 for over 2.5yrs!

Vic when is your MRI? I'm assuming your signature is right.

I've had 2 good embryos put back, fingers and toes crossed for them. The clinic will call me in a couple of days to tell me if any of my remaining embryos have made it to day 5 to freeze. I just want to get through the next weeks the tough wait and see bit.

I have everything crossed for you Tommy. Thinking sticky thoughts!

Keeping everything crossed for you tommyg!!

Yeah, had my MRI today. It was supposed to be yesterday but they cancelled it last minute but luckily fitted me back in this morning. All went fine (other than me panicking as I don't do small spaces) so just got to wait for an appointment from the clinic now and see what the results are. X

Hope you don't need to wait to long for results. But its at least another step along the way.

Hello ladies. I've popped in and out of this thread for a while and just want to say congrats to those of you who got your bfps and good luck to those of you are are still TTC.

So a reintroduction of me:
I'm 35 (and a half to be exact). Have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, who is now 2.5 (after TTC for two years with unexplained fertility. Eventually tried stimulated iui and got lucky first time). I tried IUI again for baby two last sep at the same place on pretty much same protocol and it didn't work.

I'm now doing acupuncture and have also started taking Chinese herbal meds (I tried acupuncture before I got pregnant with my child).

Babydust all round!

Mk8 how long have you actually been trying for baby2?

Hi tommyg. We have been trying for a year now, but due to age and the fact I needed help before, we decided to seek help last June. We had to do an array of tests before we were allowed to start IUI again. After that didn't work, hubby and I took a break from treatment and decided to continue the natural way.

Was hoping I'd be one of those women who had fertility probs with baby 1 but after giving birth will be super fertile for baby 2. Ah well!

I see from your signature you are looking to start ivf. Do you know when? Where are you? Best of luck!

I've 2 fresh embys on board and just heard 4 have made it to the freezer. Please god let one of them be my baby. If this fails then given my age, the and the ever growing gap between my son and baby 2 then I will be at the end of the road.

Fingers crossed for you Tommy.

Just an update for me, however small it may be, I consider it significant. I began taking vitamin d3 consistently 4000 iui every day and have been for a couple of months. I was severely deficient at a level of 13.4. I don't know if my levels are where they should be, but I'm on cd2 today after a 30 day cycle, the second 30 day cycle in a row I've had since taking the d3. My cycles seemed to be getting further and further apart, generally 34 days but sometimes as long as 38 or 39 days. I don't know if it means anything at all for my fertility, but the regulation seems like it could be important.

Braven I've time to reply properly now. That is really good that you've managed to shorten your cycles to a more regular 30 days, that is bound to help egg quality. I'm sure vitD helps with implanting too.

My folic acid is combined with vitD at one point I tried a "conception multi vit" but it sent my iron levels haywire however I came across the box last night and decided I'm going to take it for the rest of this 2ww.

hi thanks for letting me stay I'm 7 years ttc#2 this month

had promising symptoms this cycle so did a test on Tuesday morning as was due af yesterday and it was neg but all yesterday I had creamy cm and my nipples killed me and I was wanting to cry for no reason with other symptoms
last night I wiped red spots and pink then this morning full af showed

good luck with your embies tommy

when my cycles played up I took agnus castus to regulate and it worked

Hi Scollins, welcome to the thread!! I hope you find lots of comfort and support here, I know I have. Have you had any treatments or investigations in your 7 years?

7 years is a horribly long time. I've struggled with 4 years. I honestly don't know how you have coped with it.
I think you have done the same as I did started trying for baby 2 when baby1 was 11 mths. My boy will be 5 next month.

Did you have any issues with your daughter?

Sorry AF was playing games with you. That is just so hard hugs.

hi I'm not coping this af very well been a lot of crying and even punching my own stomach getting annoyed with it not working

I tried for a year till I got pregnant but miscarried and had tests around the time I got pregnant
nothing but underactive thyroid for me and slow swimmers for hubby
2 years later after they said we will book in for specialist I got pregnant with daughter naturally
had ok pregnancy then got admitted to hospital with high bp and had to have C-section next day at exactly 36 weeks with my tiny 4lb 9oz girl
she will be 8 on 31st of this month
waited till her 1st birthday to try for no2 so 7 years this month but may 1st I had a miscarriage then again in july this year

had tests redone hubby perfect now no slow swimmers and both now have underactive thyroid nothing else found and so dr blames my weight
been dieting but its slow and steady but specialist wont see me till I lose some weight and its been another year since last miscarriage

had a bad day with bumps and babies everywhere and a friend in usa complaining her body is broken just cos her 3rd baby she names oopsy as wasn't planned wont be born vaginally
should be lucky she doesn't have to try and has 3rd on way grrrr

Scollins
Can the doc give something to help the thyroid, fixing that might help weight.

Are you having a cycle every month?
Can thryoid not interfere with ovulation?

Bex what is your next step with adoption, do you have to do the adoption course?

Braven fingers crossed for you this month. Things are looking up for you.

Afm trying to get through this 2ww. Christmas seems ages ago I can hardly believe we are only at the end of the second week back.
