Congrats on the little boy, Jess! How are you feeling? Puppy, how are you as well? You're both getting to the part of pregnancy I really enjoyed! 2nd tri was the best part for me. I had energy and could eat again and had a little bump but wasn't uncomfortable yet (I only ever got sore because of the SPD but it was miserable for the few weeks before I could get it treated). How have you told everyone?
We're doing well. Josie is 15 weeks on Friday so just about 3.5 months. She's such a good baby. She is very content and easy going and everyone comments how relaxed and happy she seems. I really credit co-sleeping and babywearing with that. I know the whole attachment parenting thing isn't for everyone, but it's so much easier for us. If she won't nap during the day and starts getting fussy, I just pop her in her wrap and she's happy as could be. And our nights are awesome. We are only now starting to put her to bed before us which is a bit more challenging, but during the actual overnights when she sleeps with me, she's so good, doesn't cry at all even when she wakes up to eat, and she's started to sleep through the night this past week.
We've been doing a baby massage class for the past 6 weeks, which just ended today. And we have a group of baby friends we meet up with for coffee regularly. We're also going to start going to some other baby groups. We went to a baby music class on Monday with a friend too, which was nice (though she's still maybe a little young since it's hard to hold her and do all the parts of the songs and play the instruments, we might try again when she can sit up). My mom is coming over to visit again next month when she'll be almost 5 months (wow!) and I just signed up for my first post-baby race, a 10 miler in October, though I haven't even started running again yet so gotta get on that. The days just go by so fast that it's hard to fit everything in and go for a run. Soon, I hope!
How is everyone else doing?
