A head count for May Mummies! The last stretch!

That's a good idea Jessica! My Facebook name is Lady-Claire and my photo is of Rose's feet :baby: if you can't find me, PM me only I don;t really want my surname on here for all to see!

Jessica I can't find you :(

We had a very bad week last week too, I researched the Wonder Weeks and it seemed to match how she was feeling, as there's a WW for week 5!

Midnight- I have added you :) I am wondering whether my setting are set to hide me..I shall have a look!

If you guys want to add me on FB drop me a PM....I'm easy to find as there is only one of me. :smug:

Oh my goodness - My LO is constantly latched to my breast, so much so I literally can't do anything (not even get on bnb!) Glad to know I'm not the only one. Jessica - wow I wish I could produce that much milk, I still have to supplement the first night time feed with formula from when I had crusty-nipplitus as I just can't seem to increase my supply.

Also, does anyone elses bubba just cry when you put them down? Ru really hates sleeping on his own now and is a grizzle as soon as he is put in his basket and instantly wakes up

Hope your all getting better and Midnightsun so sorry to read your having such a tough time :hugs: x

Wilf is exactly the same. He will however sleep on his tummy, so he does this during the day, or on me. I did blog posts about the feeding too if you want a look x

We've had the same thing this week, really fussy, won't stop feeding, won't be put down, will only co-sleep. I'm sure it's just a phase, like everything with kids! Xx

Argh! Tabby was doing so well and now regressed back to how she was in the first week! She sleeps from 2200-0230 now, will generally fall back to sleep quite quickly after a feed and now is waking up at 0400 or 0500 and just squirming, piggling and grunting around for what seems like hours?! She doesn't ask me for anything so I have started putting in ear plugs so that I only wake up when she yells! She then sleeps for a little longer and then starts crowing and cooing!! She is urinating so much due to her insane feeding that if I don't change her really regularly overnight that the urine soaks through the nappy and soaks whatever she is wearing too (sometimes me if I let her sleep on me)
Tonight I am blacking out my room completely. I wonder whether she is waking with wind, seeing that its light and deciding that its time to wake up?

tuppance - James doesn't like to be put down either. I have to wait until he's slept on me for at least 30 minutes before I can transfer him, but at least he'll let me then, it's just a waiting game!

Jessica - the squeeking is driving me crazy!! Good idea about the ear plugs as I wake up about 30 minutes before he wants me (he just squeeks and squirms and grunts). Ugh. I thought about moving him into the nursery, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet!

I'm glad other people are considering ear plugs too, I was wondering if it would be awful of me to put them in as Paige is the same, come 5 am she is awake squirming around after her feed for a good hour. She's quite happy but she keeps me up with all her noise!

*touch wood* She does let me put her down 90% of the time. She'll usually fall asleep within the hour in the afternoon and at bed time once in her moses, depends what stage of her sleep cycle she's at I suppose.

How much sleep is everyones LO getting during the day? T sleeps for about 5+ hours during the day, should I be stimulating her more and keeping her up so she sleeps better at night? Or do I leave her to sleep?

She is good now at being left in her bouncer, she tends to drop off to sleep and then I can have some freedom around the house for an hour or so. She's getting better at amusing herself without needing me holding her.

James will sleep 4-6 hours in the evening. I was told as long as he's gaining weight to enjoy the long stretches of sleep. I thought about keeping him up more during the day to have a nicer sleep at night, but I'm just trying to enjoy the long stretch by sleeping too (though my husband misses me because we nap within about an hour of him getting home so not much visiting time...). I would love to hear everyone else's opinion on letting them sleep or not.

Personally I would always let them sleep at this age! If they are asleep they need it that's my theory! I've learnt with James to leave well alone lol. Once they are a bit older and starting to understand night and day more the theory is not to let them sleep after 4.30 and get them to bed by 7 at the latest but every child is different.

I would think P sleeps 4-5 hours as well but it's not normally in a really big stretch except in the afternoon when we have a 2 to 3 hour nap together some days. Most of the time it's dozes of between 20-40 minutes.

I try not to let her sleep too long in the evenings before bed but to be honest that's when she starts to tank anyway, so she keeps herself awake to feed.

I have just woken up from a 2 hour nap (T is still sleeping!)! T usually has a 2 hour nap around 10 and then will have another hour early afternoon and then another couple late afternoon. She then wakes up fully alert USUALLY around 1900 and I entertain her for a few hours and then around 2200 she starts winding down to sleep.

I didnt have much to do yesterday so I offered her the boob without waiting for her to ask for it, so she got a lot of milk in and she went to sleep at 2130 and didnt wake up until 0420 and that was only for her nappy to be changed! (that's good for her!) I offered her a feed and she sleepily had a bit and then grunted and wriggled for a while but I didnt wake up until 0800. (she has been wriggling for quite a while though beforehand but earplugs are godsends!)

Having a toddler means I no longer get naps! x

Well, I'm a terrible mom... We let James nap on his front as he sleeps better. We put him on his tummy at like 10pm.......and he slept until 5am!!! Mind you he squeeked several times especially at 3am when the dogs wanted to go out (I thought for sure he was waking up then as he was moving aroung, but he went back to sleep!) I haven't gotten this much sleep in such a small period of time in soooo long. I slept from 11-3 then 3:20-5am. Hopefully today he'll be a happy baby, but either way I think I'll be able to deal with it better!! I was SO engorged this morning though!!! SO HAPPY to feed him!!
