Erin, I just spent HOURS reading your pregnancy blog. You're a really good writer! I wanted to let you know that when I conceived Sara, I had miscarried a few times before I was successfully pregnant with her, but I woke up at like 4 in the morning with the worst cramps of my life. Far worse than any miscarrying cramps, so I prepared myself for the worst and was sure that I was going to miscarry. I went in, and of course it was a day that my regular OB was off, so I had to see a different OB, she was so sweet and they did an early scan, I was only 5 weeks and some odd days. All we saw was a gestational sac, but no heartbeat yet, she said everything looked good, but I was to refrain from any heavy lifting (25 lbs or heavier) and I was to start my low dose regimen of aspirin again, which I had stopped taking because I had gotten pregnant. When I went back to see my doctor a few weeks later, he had noticed that I had a small area of bleeding on the ultrasound. I had been spotting off an on for a few weeks, but because it wasn't heavy I didn't worry about it. He explained it to me like a toilet paper roll. The bleeding was in my cervix, but both ends were sealed but there was some blood that was trapped, he said it would just work it's way out and not to try and stress over it. I spotted until I was close to 12 weeks and I was told not to have sex. Which sucked, because at some point, not sure when, I couldn't have sex period, with out it being painful. So, I went a LOOOOONG time with out having any sort of lovin'.
Your blog cracked me up a few times, one in particular was after your first round of Clomid, when you passed your uterus lining. I laughed so hard, because I would have probably done the same thing. (whoa, what is that???!!) LMAO!! Other thing I was curious about is if you ever successfully named your boobs. I've never heard of women doing that, but it made me laugh. Their is a wives tale that if one boob is larger than the other, that it predicts the sex of the baby. It made me smile reading about how you were constantly symptom spotting, I can't tell you how many times a day I would grab my boobs, to see if they were still sore. Don't worry if your symptoms fade, because one day they will remind you that they are still there. I remember clearing texting with Krissy one day, telling her I was feeling fine while I was cooking dinner, then WHAM! It hit me like a ton of bricks and I had to leave the kitchen to throw up, while Dan had to finish cooking dinner. Did you ever figure out who the guys was that said you were pregnant? Maybe you had that pregnancy glow rather than him thinking you looked pregnant. Too cute on how you had your little girl tell everyone you were pregnant! We had Samuel wear a shirt that said, "big brother" on it, while we attended a big family dinner. Dan and I still joke that he could have worn a shirt with a penis on the front of it and no one would have noticed. Your first trip to the ER seemed like quite the adventure. There have been many a times where I have had to squat and hovered to pee. ER's and hospitals in general give me the heebeegeebees. Your ER Sagas were like a book, you're good at cliff hangers.
Congrats on making it to 12 weeks! And your little bean is now the size of a plumb!
Zoey, how are you feeling? Is Ella ready to greet us with her presents yet?
Grace, how has Ethan's littler sister been?
Have you had any bouts with heartburn? Feeling lots of movement?
Misty, How's the weather been?
