A long term weight loss thread

How is everyone?

I weighed this morning and was down to 175.6. I fixed a cheesecake for my birthday but looks like I'll only have 2 pieces so that'll lessen the blow of the treat. Today is my birthday so I enjoyed rather than counting calories. I did manage a workout and walking. I'm really enjoyed muscle burns fat. I'm not really into HIIT due to my pelvic floor and want to protect my joints.

As always, sounds like you're killing it, flueky! And love to hear how you're able to balance enjoying life and making that progress :)

I've been 169 two Mondays in a row, but was 168 today. So, seemingly moving the right way, too.

Hope you both are doing well. I weighed 172 this a.m. so I'm down 29lbs, with like 24lbs lost since November. It feels so crazy that I'm over halfway to my goal. I decided to start another round of muscle burns fat before trying muscle burns fat advanced. I'm going on vacation next week so kind of expecting to not lose or possibly gain and that's okay as I'm not in a race to lose weight.

:happydance::headspin::happydance::headspin::happydance::headspin::happydance: That's amazing! I'm so jealous! I hope you're feeling really proud of yourself. I'm down 6-7lb pounds, and am happy with that. I just need to get a new routine sorted for the summer. It's getting really hot already, and I dont think that we can go walking the way we have been for much longer. Just planned out meals for the next few days and looking forward to steak wraps tonight.

I have experience with a serious illness, too. Because of constant dieting as a teenager, I became hostage to an eating disorder. Like you, I had many ways to cope with this problem. I went to different specialists who had different opinions about my issues. After dozens of unsuccessful attempts, I decided to struggle with my negative thoughts. The right attitude is 50% of success. At this point, I believe that I will succeed. On the advice of my nutritionist, I bought a bathroom scale that allows me to track my body condition and progress. Hopefully, it will make my journey to my dream body even easier.

Hey ladies !!

Any tips for losing weight after baby ? DS2 is now 11 weeks old and I feel like it’s time to shift the extra pounds .

I’m a notorious snacker which is my down fall ! I love to walk and be outdoors but my god I hate the gym it’s just not for me !

I need to lose about 21-28lb in total . Doesn’t seem a lot considering what you ladies have lost which is amazing !

I had to fall in love with the gym :) I have been going there for several months, but still no quick result! All because I can not adjust the diet. I do not have the energy, time and desire to cook healthy food every day. There are certainly benefits from training - I had lower back pain, now they are almost gone. But still - losing a lot of weight is easy if you weigh a lot, then you have to adjust your nutrition! I also decided to include cycling with it in my daily routine. I breathe fresh air, spend time with my family and strengthen my legs at the same time

I have the flip side of this situation. I can't put on weight and it's a real problem for me

Post-pregnancy weight loss takes time, and it's important to prioritize your well-being and enjoy this precious time with your baby. Having a support system can make a significant difference in weight loss. Consider joining a postnatal exercise group or connecting with other new moms who have similar goals. Sharing experiences and supporting each other can provide motivation and accountability. When setting weight loss goals, it's essential to be realistic. Losing 1-2 pounds per week is considered a healthy and sustainable rate of weight loss. Remember that everyone's body is different, so it's important not to compare yourself to others. Be patient with yourself and celebrate every milestone along the way.

If you dislike the gym, there are plenty of other ways to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. Walking is an excellent form of exercise, so try to incorporate regular walks with your baby in a stroller or baby carrier. You can also explore activities like postnatal yoga or swimming, which are gentle yet effective for weight loss. Or you can do some at-home exercises for weight loss like burpees, lunges and jumping jacks. The key is to find activities you enjoy, as it will make exercise more sustainable and enjoyable.

And it's important to focus on a healthy and balanced diet. Instead of reaching for processed and high-calorie snacks, try incorporating more nutritious whole foods into your meals. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Drinking water or herbal tea instead of sugary drinks can also make a difference. Stock your kitchen with nutritious snacks like fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, or low-fat yogurt. Practice mindful eating by listening to your body's hunger and fullness cues.

Hi ladies! OP here possibly trying to revive this thread. I’m basically where I was when I left off and back to actively trying to get fitter. I was a bit derailed this past week as we were on vacation and I’m too scared to step on the scale to see the damage…but prior to that I’ve been eating better and working out 4-6 times a week for a couple of months. I haven’t been making a lot of progress in weight loss but i have felt better and lost almost an inch of my waist (although I’m sure that’s no longer true from vacation…)

Right now I’m just doing workout videos on you tube. I found Kaleigh Cohen Strength for weight lifting and I love her! For cardio or a mix I’ll sometimes do team body project or I just walk on the treadmill at max incline.

so that’s where I’m at. You?

Are any of you losing weight right now? Any dietary recommendations?

HI Bon Bon! I've completely reset and am trying again. I started about a month ago. I decided to try to get "into" exercising again, then tackle my diet. I've mostly kicked sugar and am trying to incorporate more protein into my diet, also iron. I have lost about a half inch from my waist but I have no idea on weight.

What are you doing?

I'm gaining weight. Yay stress! T-T. I'm up nearly 25 lbs from what my usual weight is. 3 of that from the last week. So.... I'm hopeful that I can get things back under control as some of my external stress flattens out and I'm back at work. Moreso for my mental health, I'm trying to hop on the stationary bike at least 15-20m a day. I do a protein shake still if I can will myself to drink it. Overnight oats for lunch. Dinner is usually some lazy crock pot protein. I'm drinking a lot more than I should be, so I'm also hopeful once I go dry that will help.

Just saw this Dobs. I am actually considering a stationary bike...I had a lot of success with it the first time I lost a ton of weight after baby #1. Now I want it for heart health and weight loss...of course now it looks like it'll be to stay healthy during pregnancy and keep the weight gain down. I have thus far failed to do that with all of my pregnancies. I'm really hoping this is the one I can stick to it but so much depends on how I feel which is obviously unpredictable!

Anyway are you happy with your bike? What kind is it, if so?

I’ve been on a long-term weight loss journey, and it hasn’t been easy. I’ve tried various diets and workout plans, but I often struggle to stay consistent. Recently, I discovered Canadian Pharmacy that offer great supplements to support my weight loss efforts. I’m focusing on healthy eating and regular exercise, and I think incorporating these supplements could make a real difference. I also plan to track my progress more carefully and set achievable goals
