'Ahh your so lucky' .......

A girl I know found out she was having a boy, and then another girl I know found out she was having a girl.
The one having a boy was like to the one having a girl, OMG YOUR SO LUCKY!!!
Aren't you happy with a boy?
:dohh:
people.

I've had these comments and even before I knew this baby was a girl everyone was going on about it saying how great it would be etc... Guess it's just what people do!

I hate when people say, 'awww hopefully you get a boy next time'... who cares? A baby should be loved and cherished whatever their sex. There is a lot of discrimination about baby girls anyway in the world, where people want to have a boy so he can carry on the family name. I actually read somewhere that the NHS are thinking of not telling people the sex of their baby at their 20 week scan because of the risk of not wanting a certain sex child and having an abortion. x

thats an urban myth. Although the legal abortion limit is past 20 weeks, it has to be signed off by 2 doctors and its really rare they'll just do one just because. Its usually for medical and ethical reasons as by that stage the woman need to actually give birth in a hospital.

Congrats on team blue Blah! I had no idea.

... you're so lucky ;)

I thought the 20 week non disclosure of sex was true. My MW told me it's not done in some parts of London and Birmingham and the reason was for termination of baby girls... so it's a well embedded myth lol xx

Haha I get it alot as I have 6 girls lol I actually lost a friend as she decided to say how I muy be sooo disappointed to have another girl over and over

People find it really hard to comprehend that I actually don't want a boy lol

I am not allowed anymore children but if I were I would atilll want a girl lol

It doesn't matter what you have, as long as he/she is healthy.

I remember the day I went for my gender scan. Everyone told us that if we had a girl we would be disappointed. Made me so mad.

I only wanted one baby. Both OH and I wanted a boy, however, if we were blessed with a girl, that wouldn't make me love her less or anything crazy like that. I would have been happy either way...

I agree that it doesn't matter what you have as long as you are healthy.I am in one of the areas they won't tell you the sex and i heard it was because of girls being aborted.

My MIL says - less than two months after having my little boy - when are you going to give him a sister? Like I can order a girl!!!!! So funny - I just try and laugh it off! I am just happy to have one healthy child - I'm blessed to have my son!

Ohh I had this loads at the beginning :dohh: you have a boy and a girl so why do you want more?! errrm because we want another child maybe?

Oh was it a mistake? erm nope actually, he was planned! not that it has anything to do with you :dohh:

Maybe it is in certain trusts but the NHS arent doing a blanket ban on specifying gender if they can as far as i'm aware!

+ thanks :D
