It looks almost positive to me! Mine was just like this earlier today and I tested with the digi and it said negative. So I hope I surge tomorrow! Good luck tomorrow. :)

had another just the same a few hrs later hope today is the day! it sucks guessing. dh has low sperm count so we have to plan our bd for every 2 days and hitting the o day on one of these days is proving to be difficult! lol!

I'd say its not quite positive yet.
Good luck hun! X

Fingers crossed for you Mrs. Ping that you get a positive opk soon! I saw my first smiley today and it was such a good feeling. I have never had a positive before after 8 months of trying! I even woke DH up. He works nights right now so he wasn't too happy with me waking him up in the middle of the day but I just couldn't help myself. He got over it pretty quick when I showed him the smiley lol. My DH has very low morphology so we are hoping we can still conceive. He is changing his bad habits like quitting smoking which I hope will improve it. I also started him on vitamins to see if that will help. Best of luck!

Thanks and gl 2 u too! I had dh take maca root when we were ttc dd he said it made Him feel better over all! He also took vitamin e and vit c also very good for sperm healthStill waiting on a positive here but I am confident it will happen soon.

Where did you buy the maca root? and how much did he take?

I am sure it will be positive soon. I also heard that you don't ovulate strongly every month so sometimes you don't get one. :( I have never had one in 8 months so I may just be one of those people that ovulate once or twice a year. If it doesn't happen this time I hope the doc gives me Clomid on thursday so it will help. Stay optimistic! Its what I always have to tell myself.

3. Maintaining a Healthy Diet. Certain minerals and vitamins, particularly natural Vitamin E, zinc, and selenium, can have a positive effect on sperm morphology. Selenium is an antioxidant-rich trace mineral that can be found in Brazil nuts, walnuts, tuna, beef, chicken, eggs, and cheese. It can also be taken in supplement form, although you should take no more than 400 mcg per day, as excessive amounts of selenium can be toxic. Other vitamins and minerals that can help improve the quality of sperm include vitamin B12, folic acid, vitamin C, Vitamin E, CoQ10, zinc, and the amino acid L-Carnitine.
Maca increases male libido and treats male infertility. It supports testosterone production, but does not have hormonal effect on the body. Maca also supports the adrenal glands and helps maintain thyroid function. Maca is considered both an herbal remedy and a fertility food. Maca is used in South America as a male libido booster to enhance male sexual performance, sexual endurance and virility. Clinical studies have shown how Maca supplementation helps men improve poor sperm quality due to low
testosterone levels. Maca also helps men with premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction as it
balances testosterone.
Studies have shown how men with low levels of folic acid have more sperm DNA defects. This means that the sperm may contain abnormal chromosomes. Abnormal sperm morphology may also increase chromosomal disorder cases.

If an abnormal sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby has increased risks of carrying a defective chromosome.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is known to increase sperm count.

Vitamin C

- Vitamin C protects sperm from oxidative damage and prevents sperm agglutination (sperm clumping together and becoming non motile). Vitamin C helps increase the quality of sperm in smokers.

L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine is a necessary nutrient for sperm normal function and is known to play a very important role in sperm maturation in the testis. It also provides energy for the metabolic processes during and after ejaculation. Numerous studies show how L-Carnitine helps increase all parameters of sperm health: count, morphology and motility.

Network Antioxidants

Abnormal sperm morphology is often associated to poor DNA integrity of sperm cells. Supplementing your diet with a specific fertility blend of antioxidants, like CoQ10, helps to improve sperm health as well as prevent DNA damage. If a damaged sperm fertilizes an egg, the embryo will most likely be miscarried. Antioxidants are necessary to help the body fight the damaging effects of free-radicals that cause DNA damage leading to gene mutations.

Find out about the The Male Factor Formula here.

4. Homeopathic Treatment. Poor morphology can be caused by structural problems, such as enlargement of the testes or scrotal veins, or by an infection. Surgery, antibiotics and drugs are not the solution. The following homeopathic remedies can improve poor morphology when taken for a period of 4-6 months. For best results, make sure to consult with a homeopath near you.

Thiosinaminum 6C one dose twice a day to repair scar tissue in the epididimus.

Hamamelis 30C one dose twice a day to help enlarged varicose veins in the penis (Hydrocele).

Echinacea purpurea 3X, 10 drops once a day to address infections by strengthening the immune system.

Rhododendron ferrugineum 30CH one pellet once a day for Hydrocele.

Borax 30 C once a week for Candida infection. Many men have Candida infection and very little symptoms. Candida makes the seminal fluid sticky, low in pH and affects the sperm. If the female partner has recurrent yeast infections, the male partner can have Candida issues without knowing. Make sure to follow a Candida diet.

Medorrhinum 30C once a week. This remedy improves spermatic fluid and addresses past
Tribulus

Tribulus is another male fertility herb that stimulates testosterone production. Studies have shown how
tribulus terrestris stimulates secretion of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) by the pituitary gland in men with low testosterone levels. LH stimulates the testes to produce more testosterone which is needed to support spermatogenesis (sperm formation). Tribulus has a positive effect on overall health and wellbeing and can be used like Maca by both men and women to balance the hormones.
Wholefood Men's Multivitamin

A lack of important nutrients in a man's diet can cause low sperm count, abnormal sperm morphology and poor sperm motility. By supplementing with 100% whole food multivitamins you supply your body with all the nutrients needed on a daily basis for healthy sperm. These are:

Zinc If have a zinc deficiency, your levels of testosterone may also decrease impairing sperm production and fertility. Zinc is a mineral present in the large contain within the male prostate and plays a very important role in the production of the spermatic fluids. Men with low sperm count also have low sperm volume as a result of lack of zinc. Clinical studies have shown how infertile man who supplement with zinc increase sperm quality and count.

Folic acid

Studies suggest that folic acid is important not only for women to prevent neural tubal birth defects during pregnancy, but also for male sperm quality.

A bit of a long post but some quick info on natural ways to help my dh took most all the vitamins described and the maca root. We bought it in pill form at a health food store it was a bit expensive but worth it. He has severly low count so he took the max dose 3000 mg daily. Recommended is 1500-3000. Make sure if you up his zinc intake you have enough copper in his diet to counter act overdose. My dh accidentally took to much zinc( a miscommunication problem) and it made him feel really funny he said. Oh and the maca make you insanely frisky so watch out if only he's taking it!

Wow thanks for all the info! Will definately have to get the maca root! He was already complaining how tired he is from making a baby! My response was you should consider yourself lucky! Ask all your married guy friends how often they get it?! And they will envy you lol! So I will love the increase in the libido! He is already on a multivitamin but I need to check exactly what is in it so we can buy other supplements for more of the stuff he really needs. I have seen good reviews online for fertility blend but I can't find what exactly what is in it. Probably all the stuff you said above. But now I am in the dreaded 2ww! Ugh. Any luck with your opk yet?

Lol I said the same to my dh! No positive here yet they seem to be getting lighter and lighter just did one and compared to the one in the pic it's barely there! Does lh dip before the surge? I feel crampy but that could be from bd. Hope it happens soon I don't want to have to wait 60 days before af shows

I have never had mine dip before the surge. It usually starts out light then gradually gets darker. Although mine usually don't turn positive they just go back to light again. And I have usually a 50-60 day cycle because I am not ovulating. The doc told me if your cycle is really long like mine have been then more than likely you are not ovulating. Are your cycles usually that long? Also if you only test once a day you might miss it especially if it is a quick surge. When mine start turning darker I test 2-3 times a day to make sure I catch it if I do surge. Hence why I use the cheap OPK. Hope this helps.

I am having terrible cramps today. And it's only 3 dpo! Ugh I wonder if this is normal?

that is exactly how mine looked earlier today. So its a nearly positive?

Right it is not considered at true positive yet. The first line (test line) has to be as dark but preferably darker than the second line (control line).

Cramps are a good sign of early pg. Can't remember if I had any with dd. I did have continued ovulation pain though after I missed af due to the CL getting bigger.
Today took another opk and it looks the same as the one in the OP and I had some EWCM to go with it so maybe today if not then tomorrow I should have my positive!

Yay hopefully you will! I went to the fertility doc today and got some ok news. He thinks I may have PCOS from my symptoms and the ultrasound so he is running some blood work. If I do have it he says it is a mild form. Also he said it looks like I may have ovulated since there was a big "hole" thing on my ovary (I think it was my ovary). So I will have more blood work on Monday to determine if I did O since he says you have to wait at least 7dpo to determine for sure. He wants to start me on Clomid. The only thing is at that clinic they only do monitored clomid cycles and my insurance does not cover that. So it is about $1000 per cycle and there is no guarantee it will be successful. I just can't see paying that much. I am going to try and get my ob doc to just give me clomid and see what happens. What I really hope is that I am actually pregnant now and don't have to go through any of the treatment! That would be a dream. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Keep me up to date! I will let you know how Monday goes.

My ob said that it was no problem prescribing the clomid. I didn't need to see a specialist.
Yay I finally got my positive opk at 8 am! Since lo gets up at six it was my 2 mu and was barley a tinkle but still a + the same! Dh and I bd yesterday morning sk if we bd tonight and tomorrow I think it would be to much for him to produce quality sperm by that time so maybe bd tomorrow morning if my opk is negative before I go to bed. If my opk is still positive before I go to bed I will bd then and again once my opk is negative! Easier said then done lol!!I hope you are pg!

I heard it is best to bd the day before ovulation so the sperm are there waiting for the egg. A book I was reading said the chances of conception are much greater that way than bding on O day. Of course the more the better. But just thought I would share. Good luck. :)
