lots of love sarah

Ohhh didnt know this was here, cheers Big Betty.

I'm a fatty too, round about 18-20 pre preggy size. I dont seem to have have put on much weight though, somewhere around a stone I think. Which is suprising given the amount of shite I scoff!

Last April I went to Belgium and had a gastric band fitted, and didnt know I was pregnant at that point, so havent had any saline fills in it since, but I will come January and then I'll start on my 'skimpy me' journey :)

Congratulations on your baby girl Bex!

My apt went so well :) I really like my OB. She put all my fears at ease and I won't be high risk despite all my health issues :happydance: I got my scan date for the 12 wk scan and I'm so excited!

So pleased you had a positive experience hun!!!!! What date is your scan?

Hi can I join you girls, I'm big (BMI around 41 I think) and I'm 8+1. i haven't seen a midwife yet, but when I said to my DR I know I'm overweight and could have more problems, he just looked at me and said "you're not as big as some there will be no worries!!!" I could of kissed him, although I know he was just being nice! I am petrified about my first midwife appointment, despite reading all the positive stories its the negative ones that stick in my mind! I'm so excited to be pregnant after 2 years ttc that I don't want my parade rained on!

Hi love - welcome to the club!!!

Glad your doctor was so nice, I hope you have just as positive experience with your mw - have you made an appointment to see her yet?

How are you feeling so far? Any morning sickness or such like yet?

Just discovered the most awesome way to lose weight without doing a thing or putting the baby at risk! I've had a haircut. My hair was down to the bottom of my backside and now it just touches my shoulders. Gotta be a good 2 or 3 feet of hair and it was thick as anything - I reckon that's at LEAST 4lbs. Good work for an afternoon. Plus I've given the hair to the woman who cut it at school so she can sell it and put it towards buying stuff for the students in the salon so feeling altruistic too. Good day.

Hope you feel better soon, Betty. Colds are rubbish.

Hahahaha nice one - much easier than losing weight by being sick!!!

my hair isn't long enough to do that :haha: Its also super fine so it doesn't weigh much...
The only way I get instant weightloss is when I get a good break in the constipation  Or was that TMI?

Hi, no I haven't got an appointment for my midwife yet, which is starting to worry me as I had expected to hear from her by now!!

No sickness as yet, I didn't with my 1st, so hoping this one is the same! Apart from being so tired I can hardly hold my head up and sore boobs I've not had any symptoms. And although I didn't with my DD I'm still worrying that I've got it wrong and there is no baby lol!!!! (5 tests aren't likely to be wrong though are they??)

All I've seem to do so far is worry! So excited as telling my daughter and our parents this weekend, they have no idea we've been ttc and as far as they're concerned there would be no children due to DH medication, so it will be a HUGE shock.

SO great being on this thread and reading all your stories and seeing your beautiful bumps!!

It amazes me how procedures differ from area to area. I had to make my own appointment with the midwife - but that wasn't difficult, all I had to do was go to the reception desk on my way out the surgery lol!

I bet your daughter and family are going to be so excited! It was amazing when we told all of our loved ones - although very emotionally draining lol!

I hope this thread helps you through the coming weeks and months as much as it has me xxxx

same here hun, i had to ring the surgery and make the booking in appointment with the midwife at about 8 weeks, she came to my house, but i know in some areas you have to go the surgery.

then i had my 12 week scan where i had bloods weight BP etc taken, n then a 16 weeek appointment and a 25 week appoinment with the regular midwife.

i also have growth scans every 4 weeks at the specialist clinic, (startin next week they will be every 2 weeks :D regular viewing of the duchess :)

but that isnt the norm, it is only because i lost a twin in this pregnancy at 18 weeks so they are just keeping an extra special eye on me :)

you know what betty i think i may take another bump piccy tomorrow :D

its been 2 n half weeks since i took one but i feel as if i have sprouted LOL!!!

anyway hope everyone is doing fab :)

lots of love xxxxxxx

I feel like I should take a 'before' picture now, lol... just so when I do finally have a tiny bump it will look real
Not that i'd post it before I had a real bump to compare it to.
