Good to see other people in the same boat as me. I'm a larger girl TTC and wondering if my weight is the problem.

:wave: hi everybody. saw the thread while cruisin around BnB and decided to stop in.

I'm overweight (over 300! ), have PCOS and a thyroid problem. Started metformin in October, got it increased to 1850mg in November. Just started my thyroid med. Dr pretty much said no hope, I'm "too fat". I've been trying for my first for 6+ years. Hopin this is the year!

Yes, that was the biggest horse i'd ever seen/met.

I have a pic of him with my dressage gloves on his ears, doing a "moose" impression too, somewhere. lol The worst part is that he was only THREE years old in that pic...and still growing. Yikes

No I don't chart not really up on all this. I just use an ovulation calender at the minute.

I do not chart at the moment either I am the same as you and just look at the ovulation predictor calender things. If I have no luck by June I think I will have to start though.

hi there, I'm not only plus size but TTC with a fertility specialist and over 35, I just saw this board hoping for some good advice. I found out today that our first IUI did not work, off to the doctor in the morning to see if i'm ready to try again. Hoping everything looks good and I can start my meds immediatly.

Jo_Bean – Thank you so much for your advice! I do tend to make that Mountain bigger with worry. I try very hard not too, but what can you do? lol

PandaMao – Hello my panda buddy! I’m hoping more for surgery too. I agree that that would have the shorter healing than nerve damage. It sounds like everything is falling into place for you! I’m sorry to hear your Hubby has been sick but I’m glad he’s feeling better now rather than just now getting sick. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! Sending some your way!

Josephine75 – DH and I are also shy private people. I think that TTC is a very private thing. Before we went on our break, aside from telling a few close friends (and you Lovely Ladies) we hadn’t told anyone either. It’s been hard enough deflecting all the “No babies yet?, You guys have been married a few years now, aren’t you trying yet?” questions. That and it’ll make it all that much sweeter when we get to tell people with huge smiles that we finally got bfp’s!

CdnEquestrian – I think you and I are kindred spirits. They say you can never truly know someone until you’ve walked in their shoes. We must wear the same size! LOL I really wish that you didn’t have to go through it. That sounds extremely painful. I too take a few nerve and pain management meds to help with the pain, but most days it barely scratches the surface. Most of them are safe to take with pregnancy, so that’s helpful. I know exactly what you are talking about though. I spend so much time so much time fighting to be able to conceive and carry that sometimes it’s hard to listen to the little voice questioning the whole thing. Every time the answer of YES will be my answer. It’ll just make it harder but soooo much more worth it in the long run. P.S. Your horse is beautiful!

RainAngel – Welcome! Some Doctors can be mean. I had a gyno tell me that I was Selfish for wanting to TTC while being heavy. That was a hard day! I’ve known many heavy women that have had safe pregnancies. Fingers crossed that this is your year!!

Bbbunny – Thank you so much for posting that link! It was such a treat to see plus-sized bumps. And yes a bit jealous too! Lol but something great to look forward too.
