IF you got married pregnant will you help me please! I will be 8 months pregnant by our wedding and I have no idea what style dress to chose! I am proud of my bump and want to show it of though!

If you have any pictures of your dresses I would really appreciate it! thanks xx

I got married Xmas Eve '99 and our ds was born 3 weeks later so I was heavily pregnant! I wore a burgundy panne velvet dress that literally clung to me - I loved it :) It had a cowl neckline and thin straps and a large split up the back. Sadly I don't have any piccies to hand (we got married @ the local register office and a friend took our piccies with our camera, nor sure where the photos are now :(). I wore burgundy high heels. Best part was the price of my dress - I paid only £8 for the dress (in the sale),my shoes were close to £30 as were the cream shrug I wore too. Good luck with choosing your dress x

Hi sweetie, did a quick google for you and found this site:

https://www.bridesnbumps.com/

You could get some inspiration off of here?

I've also seen https://www.tiffanyrose.com/ be considered in Wedding Ideas magazine before.

Thanks everybody!

I have spoken to a couple of people and they have said they can tailor dresses for m,e and there is loads of options! I have booked an appointment for this weekend so I will let you know!

MrsVenn, I have chosen the venue at last! I feel like I am getting somewhere now!

I got married at 28 weeks and found my maternity dress really fit well

I'm getting married in December and also looking for a maternity wedding dress! I'm also 5ft 1 so it's probably going to be quite difficult! I agree, special_kala you do look gorgeous and i'm going to check out that website.

Congratulations Jellyt! We will have to keep each other updated with what we find out! I am going to a bridal shop on saturday to see what they say about it and will then start trawling the internet again for ideas!

I notice your in leicester, I am sure when I was looking for dresses there was a wedding dress outlook place around there? I could be completely wrong!

I did but I was 19 weeks so could fit into the dress I bought before we found out :)

Woo! It's all systems go then! So where's the venue or are you keeping it a surprise?:winkwink:

Thanks MrsVenn, the venue is a georgeous country pub in a beautiful village on the Longleat estate (where they film animal park if you dont know it!)

They are having a marquee for their xmas celebrations anyway so it is already up so we are using it a fraction of the price it would cost normally. its absolutely beautiful and its got a heated floor and overhead heating so shes promised me if anything we will be asking for the heating off (i was worried about it being cold!). As its being set up for xmas anyway they have twinkly lights in the ceiling etc so sounds lovely! The food there is absolutely georgeous so I am happy!

I ordered my dress...well found it in the sale rail before I fell pg.....I'll be 7 months on the big day and luckily the dress shop are altering it for me.

Go speak to a range of shops and see what they can offer you.

'Maternity' wedding dresses are so dull I looked and looked just in case my shop wouldn't/couldn't do anything and never found anything nice in my price range.

Remember theres more room for alterations and getting a good fit with separates than a dress...more wedding 'dresses' than you think are actually separates. Oh and by then you'll have to wear flat shoes!

Thanks Chuck!

Thats what I am thinking, I am going in two shops on Saturday who said they can alter my dress for me (if and when I chose one!) So fingers crossed! I will let you all know how I get on!

I was lucky enough that the shop I went to employs a lady who was 7 months pg when she got married so is very sympathetic!!

Just go to a bunch of shops and talk to them, you'll find someone that you'll click with and who can give you some good idea!

You might be lucky like me and get the whole dress and alternations in for under £500!

Wow, that would be amazing chuck!

When are you getting married?

Halloween...less than a month now EEKKKKKK!!!!!!
