Anyone in their 20's and ttc #1?

It is good to see so many ladies active on this forum, but I do wish we all get BFPs soon and can move over into the Pregnancy forums before long (and with a few familiar faces!)

How are you all doing today, ladies? :flower:

xx

Im 28 hubby is 30, I've been off the pill for year now, I had to come off it as I had a serious blood clot and told I should not be taking any kind of birth control, since recovering from that six months ago we decide to stop preventing altogether and see what happens, no bfp yet though.

Hello Ladies!! Im 22, DH is 27, we have been TTC #1 since May of 2014, I have been off birth control for about 3 years now, have always had irregular cycles, so I chart my bbt and take opk's, and check my CM to tell when I'm most fertile. Waiting on blood results from my GP and might start Clomid if this cycle doesn't stick :) Im really hopeful this cycle, but only time will tell! I have a TTC journal of my own telling my story so far, started off super positive, went through a bit of a dark period where I didn't post very much, but now am back to being a healthier me!

Hello, I am 27 and DH is 34. We have been TTC for ten months with no luck. We found out after eight months that DH had a low sperm count and he went on some supplements and made some lifestyle changes that are supposed to help, and now his sperm count is a lot higher, so hopefully we will have better luck. This is our second month of trying since his sperm count went up so I'm trying to think of it as fresh start. We are still having some issues because he is on antidepressants that make it difficult for him to climax, and I have a family history of hypothyroidism which is adding extra anxiety since all of my family members just love to tell me their infertility horror stories (I don't have hypothyroidism, according to my doc, but that doesn't stop my mother, aunts, and siblings from insisting that it just HAS to be the reason I haven't gotten pregnant yet.) That's the main reason I joined this forum, because I hear nothing but negativity and discouragement from my mother and the rest of my family when all I need is a little support. Also, I'm really fed up with all of my friends who have kids constantly asking, "When are you two going to have a baby?" or "Aren't you pregnant YET?" When people ask this, doesn't it ever occur to them that maybe we're trying and having a little trouble?

bluecanary, and that is why I chose to keep our ttc between DH and I and a few close friends, doesn't help at all! Hope things turn for the better for you!

MrsRoberts321, good luck with the treatment! I am on day 8 of provera and anxiously awaiting starting clomid this month. :)

Lozzielaula, thank you for asking, I'm doing pretty well today. My dh has been really cute about talking about baby stuff so that always cheers me up. How are you doing?

jenners45, welcome to the thread! I hope it doesn't take too long for you :)

laura2lyn4, its great that you are in a place where you can feel positive again. I know how you feel though, I've been on an emotional 'roller coaster' ride since we began ttc.

bluecanary487, what are the supplements he's taking? my dh is on fertilaid, countboost and motilityboost but we haven't tested for any increases yet. I'm sorry it's been tough for you and that your family isn't helping much. You have a great support group on the website though :) I'm also tired of friends asking the "aren't you pregnant yet?" question.

Hi!

I am 21 and married, have mild endometriosis and am on cycle 5 after coming off the pill. They have ranged anywhere from 21-24 days so hoping they will become longer over time.

Baby dust to you all xx

Hi, both DH and I are 27. We are on our 4th cycle trying right now, but AF is due in 4 days.

I was so 100% convinced that my last cycle was it and that I was pregnant that I was pretty devastated when it turned out I wasn't. I was so upset that I couldn't get myself to chart or track cm or BD every other day like we had been this month, so I guess we're technically NTNP right now. Don't look at my chart, it's a mess because I lazily grabbed my thermometer a few times though the month!

We are planning to go full force trying in Feb, but then take the month of March off because we don't want to end up with a Christmas baby. And of course, I am going to end up with two cycles in March, so we'll have to wait two cycles, which I'm not too thrilled about.

Hi everyone! Mind if I join in? I am 28 and hubby is 43 we have just started temping after 6 months of NTNP and are hoping beyond hope something happens soon!

Hello PeachCheeks! I am 28 and TTC #1. We have been trying since August. I was on birth control for 10 years and had a lot of trouble with it so I don't know if it's going to take us a while. I'm with you on that though.

I just started temping this cycle. We also just started using preseed and a natural supplement called Fertility Aid because my cycles are varying from 23-28 days. To be honest, the charting really helps. It really gives me a better idea of where I am at in my cycle and it's helping me track if I am ovulating or not. We are also using the OPKs, but I'm still trying to chart to make sure that I am ovulating.

This month has been weird. I had mild cramping at 6dpo. Since then I have been feeling a little weird (nauseous, dizzy, really bad acid reflux). Nothing I'm used to seeing, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Good luck to you and everyone else ttc!

Well hello ladies! I hope you had a great week and are going to have a relaxing weekend. :)

ellielouise, how did you find out you have endometriosis? I have not been diagnosed with anything other than anovulatory cycles but I'm starting to worry. Did you have any symptoms beforehand?

prettybirdy27, I know how it feels to be convinced that you're pregnant and not be. It has happened to me a few times this past year because I get a lot of symptoms during the TWW. Sometimes I think they are more than they are :/ It's so disappointing. I am wishing you the best of luck for this next cycle.

Jamileau, Hello! You are welcome to talk with us <3 I hope something happens for you soon, too!

bummeret63, hi there!! I plan on temping this coming cycle, and it will be my first time temping. I have tried it on an off, but I'm getting desperate. Your symptoms sound promising! Have you taken a test yet?

As for me, I just finished my 10 days of provera and am waiting on my period to start. I have been cramping since day 9, so I'm curious why it's taking so long! Once my cycle starts over, I'm going to attempt charting again and start Clomid for my next cycle. I'll be using preseed, opks, softcups, prenatals, guaifenesin and red raspberry leaf tea. DH is still on Fertilaid, Motility boost, Countboost and colder showers. I look forward to hearing more from you!

Hey everyone, just an update. So I used the ovulation sticks last cycle and had all the symptoms during tww, unfortunately, came on period yesterday :( gutted. Why does this happen when we DTD (did the deed) everyday four days before ovulation, day of and two days after? We certainly couldn't of missed the egg?! It's annoying how people get pregnant first time without even properly trying! Argh. Maybe Feb will be our month! How's everyone else?! Xx

Hey everyone! It's been a little bit since I posted in here, I hope everyone is doing well and that if you're in the TWW that it goes by quickly. Lots and lots of :hugs: to all!

I wanted to let you all know I got my :bfp: on Thursday! It's been so exciting, I posted all my symptoms and my cycle in a different thread, hopefully some of you have the same ones and will get those :bfp: 's soon!

Lots of baby :dust: to all!

Hello I'm 24 and ttc #1 also hope you don't mind me posting ! This will be my 3rd month trying to concieve . Just got my period this month so fingers crossed for next month. I've been using this app on my phone to chart my periods and it tells me my expected ovulation and fertile period is this even reliable ? Anyone else using opk, s? :) good luck everyone !

Hi everyone! Good to see some BFP's on the thread - hopefully it's a lucky one.

Peaches good luck with your upcoming cycle!

Afm I "think" I am in the TWW but not sure. Can't get crosshairs on my chart. I ink I will add opk's next month. Still trying to get a hang of this temping thing

Hi hope do mind me joining! I'm 23 and DH is 24. We've been trying for 16 months total with two cycles we took off. I had a chemical pregnancy in July of 2014 and since then nothing  DH and I have scheduled checks with our doctors. Hubs is in th army so luckily it's all covered. He set to bring his sample in early February and my pcm appt is shortly after. We are happy to hopefully be getting some answers but are sad it hasn't happened for us. I'm a birth doula do my whole career revolves around pregnancy and infants. It's been really hard. I'd love to know some ladies my age and be supportive for me another!

Good afternoon! I hope you are having a good Monday.

Petal1, my cycle started yesterday as well. I am sorry that AF had to show for you. But now we can give this cycle a go. I have wondered many times how I have not gotten pregnant with all the bding we have been doing! Feb is the month for us!

Akirkland, Congrats!! I am so happy for you. Have a happy and healthy 9 months. <3

willowtree, hi there! welcome to the thread. I have been using apps too, but since my cycles are irregular, I can't rely on them much. I think OPKs are easier. I take them twice a day about a week before my fertile time.

Jamieleau, thank you for the positivity! It sure helps when I'm feeling down. Temping will get easier, or so I've heard. I was supposed to start temping yesterday morning, then forgot. I just jump out of bed before thinking! If you are in the TWW then not much longer until you find out! Any symptoms so far? Keep us updated :)

Shelby, hello and welcome! :) I hope the tests give you some explanations. I'm sorry it is taking so long for you. I have a friend who is a doula, too. I think your job is amazing. Since I started TTC, I get so excited for women who are pregnant. Life is so beautiful. I know it must be hard to be around them all the time, but know what are you doing is a wonderful thing. <3 I am the same age as you, so it is very nice to have someone else who understands. I look forward to talking with you!

Well, nothing new on my end. I am on cycle day 2 now and waiting on my clomid prescription to be filled. I have a drs appt on wednesday and we're going to talk about pcos and some pain I've been having. Hopefully it's nothing :) Have a great week, ladies!

Good evening !! Hope everything goes well at your appointment peach cheeks! I'm sure everything will be fine try not to worry :) I'm hoping that February is our month too ! According to my calandar my next fertile period is from 4th- 10th February so I'll be using opks next month and BDIng abit more with the other half ! Lol

Petal1 sorry to hear that ! My period came same day as yours. Do you have regular cycles may I ask ? Mine are usually 29 days.

I'm just waiting for AF to be over :)
Congratulations on your BFP akirkland! Fantastic news H&H 9 months to you !

Can't wait for all us ladies to get our BFPs!

Hi Everyone! I would love to join this thread! I am so excited to speak with everyone about their experiences trying to conceive! Currently I dont really have anyone to talk to about conceiving other than my SIL. I am 25 yrs old and this will be the first cycle that my husband and i are TTC. I've spend the past couple of months "getting to know my cycle" better. I havent been on birth control in ages and never really had problems with irregular cycles. I plan on using a OPK. Feb 6th is my projected O day, so I am anxiously waiting!!! :happydance:

Baby dust to everyone!!!! :dust:

Hey everyone, hope I can join in!

I'm 25, married for 5 years. We were TTC in 2012 and I got pregnant our first month that we timed sex correctly, but it was a chemical pregnancy. Then he went to Iraq and we decided to take some time to just enjoy being married, progress in our careers, and become more financially stable. And so here we are. After this cycle we will start TTC. I am so anxious about so many things (I think the reason I was okay with waiting so long to ttc again was because I was absolutely petrified of another loss) but I have to keep reminding myself that things will happen according to God's will and timing, not mine!

Nice to meet you all, and baby dust to everyone!
