Anyone in their 20's and ttc #1?

I tested this morning at 8dpo, couldn't hold back the urges. :bfn:

I agree too early! It's killing me waiting..if AF hasn't come by April..I must be Preg?! But I know it prob won't and I'll still get a BFN!! I hate not knowing my cycles ruin my life 😩😩 haha xx

Lol my OPK have arrived and I've starting temping so I'm all ready for next cycle 😊

:flower: positive thinking. I always think being prepared makes me mentally feel better (even if it doesn't actually make a difference) if it makes you less stressed then that's always good for TTC

In last month's cycle, I was already spotting by this time that led to AF. So I'm getting my hopes up that I'm not spotting because I'm not leading up to AF. I've been trying my best not to think of this, but I really can't help it. I'm going to test again on Friday, which will be 9dpo. Good idea or bad idea?

Kittykat, it's not silly at all, I was just wondering. I didn't know if there was any particular reason. I don't like medicine very much either because my mom has a pill addiction and it has been a bad part of my life since I was a kid. She was prescribed pain pills by her doctor and then became addicted to them, resulting in her being in and out of rehabs and illegally buying prescription pills. I completely understand why you don't trust medicine.

Soon2BPreggo, I love gardening, too! What type of plants do you grow? That's awesome. My major in college was Environmental Science and one day I'd like to own land and have my own farm. Also, sorry about the BFN. It's still early. :) I would wait until 11-12 dpo just to avoid the possibility of a false negative.

FLArmyWife, What is swagbucking? is that a way to make money at home? If so, I'm interested! I'm currently unemployed so we joke that I'm a stay at home wife. But gosh, I'd love some extra cash! Tell me more :) oooh chocolate sounds so good right now! I love it, too. What kind of dogs do you have? We have 2 basset hounds.

kariss, opks yay!

so I read an article online about a man who took one of his wife's pregnancy tests and it was positive so then he went to the doctor and he had testicular cancer. The article said that men with certain types of testicular tumors produce hcg made in pregnancy. I then googled it and it's true! Testicular cancer runs in my DH's family so I'm thinking of letting him pee on one of my extras... anyone ever heard of this?

I recently heard the same thing! it was on the news here...

Yes Swagbucks is a way to kinda make money at home. It doesn't pay like a full or even part time job but it helps us with holiday. In 3 months I've paid maid enough to pay for 3 months of hulu and get a $100 visa gift card. It's one of those sites where you take short surveys and watch videos and earn points. those points then get redeemed for gift cards. If you want to know a little more shoot me a PM and I'll do my best to explain without over killing it.

Up until this week I was a "stay at home wife" lol because I didn't have a job and all I did was sit at home all day watching TV. I completely know how it feels to want some extra cash. I use what I make to pay for Christmas/birthdays

My 3 fur babies are: 15yr old shih tzu (just turned 15 on the 12th), 4 yr old shih tzu, and a 3 yr old Aussie mix. They are my life right now, very much my children.

Yes I am known to always have some form of chocolate in the house. I cave about 2 nights a week (sometimes more depending on my stress level) and make a brownie in a mug for dessert.. mmm so good but soo unhealthy lol

Sorry about your mum, my sister actually works in a pharmacy and she says the amount of people addicted to pain killers is unreal. codeine a bad offender, she says you shouldn't take it for more than 3 days because its so addictive. as for the pee stick for men, yeh i have heard about this and apparently it is actually true, but you shouldn't use it as a definite no as not all testicular tumours produce the hormone.

Peachcheeks, I made a small garden last year with good fencing to keep the animals out. I also found out that cucumbers, zucchini, and pumpkin plants do not need to be in an enclosure. Their velvety leaves are not appealing to animals. I planted tomatos, herbs, string beans, lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, and pumpkin. I took notes last year to make this year's garden even better. That's so interesting that you went to school for that. I went to school to be a teacher, but I absolutely LOVE the outdoors. Btw, I tested this morning. BFN again. How about you?

Welcome! I don't personally use OPKs but I am sure some of the ladies here can help you

Babyjourney... Welcome! What is it that is stressing you out? I've been using OPKs every cycle since TTC Oct 14. Maybe there's something I can do to help!

Hey LnDnurse- did you buy them in bulk? I'm thinking if it doesn't take this month to maybe try and start next month

Yes! I tend to splurge on OPK's because I have endometriosis and I feel like if I can document and prove a positive lh surge (which should result in ovulation) for 6 cycles and we don't conceive, I can talk my dr into doing some lab work before the typical "year for someone under 35" rule.

I use Clearblue digitals - you can buy them at any retailer and they come in packs of 10 or 20. I buy 20 and it lasts me 2-3 cycles. But they're pretty expensive- anywhere from $40-$60.

You can also buy plain lh strips from Amazon. There are several brands. I currently use Wondfo. I bought a pack of 40 and it came with 10 pregnancy (hcg) strips for like $15. The lh strips can be a little frustrating because there's a control line and a test line and you have to decipher each strip for the test line to be darker than or equal to the control line for a positive ovulation test. It can become worrisome and tedious. So I use both the strips and digital for peace of mind.

I would also recommend the app for your phone Glow. It allows you to track your periods, bd'ing days, and helps determine your most fertile week. Also comes with additional discussion boards that you can post opk result pics to and people can help you decipher them. I've fallen in love with the app. I also use Ovia, another app for cycle tracking.

Good luck!! And baby dust to you!! ✨✨✨
