I'll wait until after Thanksgiving probably. DH would prefer I wait until after his birthday in December but I usually don't, haha.
I'd like to get started installing lights on the outside of the house now because it's so much work to have it up for a short time.
But DH doesn't want to help. He's not very into Christmas. I'd wait until December at least to turn them on though.

. though we might get started on putting the outdoor lights up (but not turning them on yet) before it gets much colder 
last year we had to do it in -20 degree weather
