Anyone TTC #1 and 30 or older?

Thanks ladies! Yes I am totally on cloud nine, over the moon excited! :happydance:

Started feeling sick last night and by this morning was very nauseous. Has stayed with me all day. I've never been happy to feel nauseated before- but I'm Ok with morning sickness since it has to do with pregnancy! :winkwink:

2015 is gonna be awesome! Not just for me and hopefully for all the rest of you ladies too... this thread needs more BFP's!

I think I remember at least two of you have IUI's coming soon in January- FX!

Ah bighouse- I don't expect my bfp to be happening in 2015 or at least I'm trying not to be too hopeful for one. I've got a career to focus on and furthering my education to keep my job. If I do have a baby (or two) in 2016, I'll be happy.

I'm one of them:happydance:

Expecting AF around January 6th so will be calling the clinic when she shows. I'm 8 DPO today and not feeling much of anything so thinking this cycle may be a wash...again  I guess 16 failed cycles makes you super negative about your own chances  But I'm not counting myself totally out until the :witch: shows up :winkwink: Think I'll be much more positive when we start IUI as our chances will increase from the current 6% to around 15% :happydance:

Congrats to those with bfp! Wish you happy and healthy 9 months.

Hi ladies....I took a long break from the boards because I was becoming obsessed with TTC!! My DH suggested that I STOP all Googling, researching, forums, etc. to clear my head. It was a great suggestion because I was able to enjoy the holidays without worrying every day whether I'll ever get pregnant.

I did read through most of the posts...congrats to Praying and Bighouse on your BFPs!!!!

I got some great news of my own yesterday morning...this thread has another :bfp:

After 10 long months, finally on our 8th cycle of trying I got a very strong positive line at 12 DPO. I am so thrilled, but of course nervous at the same time. I probably won't be online too much just because I'm doing my best to not stress out about it/think about it too much. I really believe that the acupuncture and herbs helped me...I ovulated on CD14 last month, so it was probably a good quality egg (I hope).

Thanks so much for all of your support, especially when I was being a total downer. :flower:

:wohoo: MJ that's excellent news! So that's 3 bfps from this thread coming to see babies in 2015! So exciting for you all!

CONGRATS MJ! So exciting!

Also congrats Praying, you must have announced your BFP when I was taking a break from the boards and I missed it.

So excited for you both!

We announced our BFP to my mother today. She was in TOTAL shock. Couldn't believe it. Screamed, cried, jumped up and down... she's sooooo excited. We have not told any of our other friends or family yet, and will probably hold off telling most of them for a while.

Aww Bighouse, such a sweet reaction from your mother. So cute!

Congrats! ! Love seeing :bfp:!

Still sending others positive thoughts and lots of happy eggs meeting sperm!!!

Hooray for THREE BFPS!!!! Huge congrats to all of you ladies!!! Healthy and Happy nine months to you! :happydance:  :happydance:  :happydance:

Wow! Three BFPs one right after the other! Woo!

Congrats to you ladies!

Hey all, I too haven't been on here for a while as I was away on holiday and took a break from forums, googling etc to help me stress a bit less. Congrats to those BFPs this month Praying, Bighouse and MJ. Awesome news! And I can now add mine to list too, found out at midnight on Christmas day! So very excited but keeping it mostly quiet for a bit, just telling my parents and a few close friends. Getting a blood test hopefully this week as we were waiting until we got home to see my own doctor etc. Obviously taking a stress-free and no symptom-spotting month really worked for me- really recommend giving it a try! I am 6 weeks tomorrow, so fingers crossed this little bubba sticks :) Good luck to all those ladies still waiting to test. Keep positive and enjoy this experience. Heck- try a new position- might have also been what worked for me !!

Well I might as well join here, we have been trying for a while now, I can't afford specialists, so we just keep trying. I have had a break from the forum for a bit, I got a bit annoyed with the same questions all the time in some of the threads... I don't bother symptom spotting anymore, and I'm not going to test until af is late, there just isn't any point testing before then,
Good luck ladies!

Hi all!

I am new to this forum (any pregnancy forum for that matter).

I am a 30 year old South African woman who has been TTC for more than a year now. (I've never had a baby) We don't take any enhancements to help us because we can't really afford it at the moment. AF was supposed to start on the 26th of December but has still not come.

Usually, if I am late it is only by about two or three days. My lifestyle has not changed very much, nor has my diet (I've read that those could delay it) but I've taken two pregnancy tests - one on Friday and one this morning - both are negative.

I've had a runny tummy for the past day or so and some cramping along with headaches (which I've always had). Don't really have any of the other symptoms usually associated with pregnancy.

I am really hoping for a positive result, since we've been trying for so long but every time I get all excited and think "Yes, this time I'm pregnant", it comes out negative and a couple days later AF starts. This time, I am 10 days late so I really can't help but hope...

How many days after conception should I have a blood test done? I have a fairly good idea of when I could have conceived but I want to wait with the blood test until enough time has passed for there to be no mistake.

I hope you can give me some advice on the blood test.

Thank you for reading and for any help you could give.

(If this is the wrong thread to post this in, I apologize!)

Welcome Cheekygringo:hugs: I don't really symptom spot either anymore since I always feel like I experience some pregnancy symptoms during the 2WW so no point unless it's something highly unusual:nope: I don't test unless AF is late either and by late I mean at least 2-3 days late if I go by a 27 day cycle which happens from time to time and is my longest, normal cycle.

Welcome EElse:flower:

I'm not sure when is the best time to take a blood test but I would think 10 days over might be ok. Could you ask your GP (your doctor)? I'm sure he/she would know the best time and how much longer you should wait before getting it done.

Wow 10 days late:nope: Think the latest I've ever been was 5 days back in August and it was torture since pregnancy tests were coming back negative. Finally AF did show up. It could just be a really wonky cycle. I'd ask your GP because if your not pregnant you'll need him/her to maybe help you start AF.

Thanks KatO79!

I phoned our nearest OB-Gyn and they said to get the blood test done. I think it was more because they are fully booked until June and if I am pregnant, they'll have to squeeze me in, but I'll still get the test done - for my own peace of mind.

My GP's office is closed until the 12th so I couldn't even ask him. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed and will let you all know what the result of the blood test is.

Thanks for the advice!
