anyone TURNED DOWN the downs test?

I didnt have it done, for the reason that I didnt care either way. My baby was born with down syndrome, I wish I had done the test, because I wasnt ready for what came afterwards. All the sad medical diagnoses, I had just had a beautiful baby and then all of a sudden doctors are running around telling me all these things about a syndrome I knew little about. I would change anything though, she was still my baby. And she was so wonderful!

I got it with my first pregnancy, had a false positive and spent most of my pregnancy worrying for nothing.

This time I opted out. My anatomy scan looked normal so I'm sure all is well. I just didn't want to worry for no reason. It wouldn't change things anyway.

I didnt have them. Wouldnt make a difference to me whatever the result was

It isn't compulsory here, I had the nuchal translucency test but no bloods or anything.

I had it done (the nt scan) but i would not have terminated if she had downs, no way. the scan is offered so i took it, regardless of what the results would be. If my baby/s were to have downs it doesnt mean I would love them any less.

Im with everyone, I did not have it done either - why do it? I have heard SO MANY times that its not very accurate anyways and WHY WORRY YOURSELF for nothing when the results wouldn't change a thing EXCEPT TO MAKE FOR A HARDER TIME DURING your preganacy when this is the WORST time to be worried, stressed out...we have enough emotions going on. If you know it wouldn't change your mind about anything why do it? We don't get a heads up on life on whats to come and what hand we will be dealt, we simply deal with things as they are PRESENTED to us. :)
