Have any of you guys started thinking about stocking some food in case of Coronavirus? I think if I wasn’t pregnant I wouldn’t worry so much but wondering if I should stock up in case it’s safer to stay at home... getting worried about having a newborn through this..,

Maybe, I didn't think of that. They are only painted so have to be swept off then wiped down.
I haven't thought about it to be honest, I get really anxious over health things. I do think it is being over stated and is only a danger if you've got an existing condition and are of a vulnerable age, but of course that does include newborns. I do get my shopping delivered anyway so won't have to take him out.
Midwife tomorrow. Due to the weather ds2 has had loads of football matches postponed, his season was supposed to finish the end of this month but that won't happen now so once again I'm anxious about DH being so far away if I go in to labour. I'm considering asking if because of the speed of my labours and increased risk of bleeding they might induce me. Ive always hated the idea because I feel like interference in labour leads to further interference but it's really playing on my mind and that's the only way I can think of that'll take the risk of being stuck at home while he's miles away or bleeding out in the car stuck in traffic (they are closing the main road past my house for 4 whole weeks in april to replace gas pipes) I'm not holding out much hope as medically it isn't needed but it's worth asking I think.

Hope the midwife goes well mother! I totally get how the idea of induction is appealing- im not sure what the rules are for elective induction are though!

So there has been a case of Coronavirus at my job. Luckily I’ve not been there for the incubation period as I’ve been working from home due to my blood pressure. But feels scary it’s getting closer! I also do delivery shops so think I’ll just order some extra things in it on Sunday.

I'm pretty sure it's only if there's a medical reason, and I'm now in two minds about asking, I don't want it to seem like I'm just fed up and trying my luck, I'd be quite happy to go to my due date or even beyond, it's just the thought of him being so far away when I do go into labour. Knowing the journey is longer than my last labour. I don't want him to miss it, but also it's going to take any of my babysitters much longer to get to us as it's not a small strip of road with a short diversion they are doing, the diversion is actually going to send people miles out of the way so they can approach from the other direction. Even ambulance response times will be affected by it.

Is there anyone else who could take DS2 to football? Like another parent? Or would ds be sad if dad doesn’t go along?

I think say exactly what you just said to your midwife and express your concerns and see what she says!

DH suggested another dad take him, but it's twice a week and it feels like a big ask on the off chance that I go in to labour at any point over the couple of weeks that it could happen.
Anyway, I couldn't bring myself to ask and just sort of hinted around at it. I did say it was making me anxious and all the scenarios and she said she could ask her bosses to review for a home birth but there's no guarantee as it goes against policy. I don't think I'll take her up on it as there's a big chance they'll say no anyway. She said she can put a not on the computer and I can go in at the first signs of labour so hopefully it'll be like ds3 labour and I'll get a bloody show before the pains start, or my waters will go first like ds2. Although they went in the bath the night before so I wasn't aware until he had been born and there was no sign of any waters haha

Anyway, she thinks he is head down but he's really tightly curled up so she didn't seem to want to say for sure. She kept saying "without actually being able to see in there, I think this is a head, but it's at a funny angle" and he's not even trying to engage at this point haha measuring bang on this time. Scan and midwife again in 2 weeks.

Sweden I haven’t thought about stocking up on food but I get a delivery every week and always order too much! That is scary it was a case of your work so lucky you weren’t there, I hope your blood pressure is okay, how has monotreme been?

Hope things work out when you go into labour, it’s definitely hard when you have activities for them to organise, always worry thinking about how things are going to plan out, I’m sure at the time it will all fall into place, I’m glad I’m not being induced this time but at the same time I keep thinking it would be easier!
Monday morning was like a trial run calling my sister to come round when I had to go to maternity, I was actually surprised she answered the phone even if she did say she saw it and nearly hung up! I don’t think she was joking haha
She got round pretty quick though

I finish work now should be in today but today I’ve got a throat and Monday I’ve got midwife so I think I’ll just finish now and do anything I need to do from home
I’ve spent the morning in bed now going to have a nice bath and avoid this rain as dh Is picking kids up this afternoon

35 weeks Saturday and can’t wait!

Mother- hopefully you’ll get some early inklings and can head in as soon as you think it might be happening! That’s what I’m hoping for too!

Star- monitoring is good. BP higher but not higher than the jump it made. I will go to the midwife again tomorrow so hopefully that’s still the case. I have a BP cuff at home but trying not to use it as my midwife said the anxiety can make it go up. So she asked I try just to check at the appointments she makes! When you say finish work is that just for today or you mean for your maternity?!

I think that's wise not to keep testing for sure. Hopefully it doesn't get too high again.

Last night I had an awful night. I was so tired that I could hardly lift my feet to walk up the stairs, so went to bed at 6. I was then up and down because every time I laid down I got heartburn. I would literally take a dose of medicine, lay down and get it again. I grabbed an extra pillow and 2 cushions and still couldn't get myself high enough to not get heartburn. That continued until 1am and even after that it wasn't a great sleep. Though I was able to rest a bit between.

Oh I had such bad heartburn but my midwife recommended a new medicine omeprazole and after 24 hours it made a HUGE difference! Been sleeping much better too. I’m normally really hesitant taking meds when pregnant but she assured me it was fine and my heartburn was so bad I had to try!

Heading to midwife now and I’m certain this little miss has returned to a breech position again- after being head down all week!

My friend takes omeprozole and DH has lansoprosol, both because they take a lot of medication and it protects the stomach lining.
I honestly usually only need something once or twice a night so I'm not sure what was going on last night.

She’s still head down! Really hope she stays there now! And my BP was better today.

did you eat anything different? Hopefully you will get a chance to rest today and catch up on some lost sleep.

That's great about the bp and the baby still being head down.

I don't think I did, certainly nothing spicy or overly fatty etc hopefully it was a one off.

I’m glad you’re doing well sweden, must be hard to not regularly check yourself though!
I’m on maternity now, should be in Monday but got midwifes So will just work fron hone if needed now

Mother, hope it’s better today, heartburn is the worst but definitely not good when you need to sleep

Sorry thought I replied yesterday!

Went to maternity with reduced movement today and all ok, swear she didn’t move all morning!
She’s head down still and the pressure down low and in my bottom is awful! The next few weeks can’t go quick enough lol
Also had bad Braxton Hicks again this morning lasting about 20 mins

Does anyone else feel really weak? Like beyond tiredness and actually like it's effort to just lift your arms and legs? I don't remember feeling like this with my others, but my bloods and blood pressure were all fine when I saw the midwife

Mother I’m so tired all the time at the moment and definitely feeling more lazy!
Midwife tomorrow, case of Coronavirus where I live, they’re in the hospital I will Be giving birth in, trying not to worry too much, everyone here seems to be panic buying but I’m just trying to stay hygienic and positive and carry on as normal!
