April Mummies 2011

Rosie needs to be in size 2s now also. She has really been finding her voice. She talks away sometimes BS gets so excited and gets a couple laugh noises out. I love it!

Aleena needs to be in size 2's but I'm finishing her size 1-2's first! Still got a bunch left

She enjoyed her first firework show, although started crying halfway through cause she was tired.
I watched the rest through the window.
They were shooting them off the pier, which we live a 5 minute walk away from, so we could stay home.
Watched the first half on the porch.

Alex had his next lot of jabs this morning, was a total star! only cried when the needles went in but the nurse had toys and stuff to distract him so he soon forgot about the pain!

ooh i booked mother and baby aquafit classes! starting in August, basically use baby as a weight in water lol, and its an introduction to swimming for baby! a combination of lessions for alex and fitness for me , hope its going to be good! xx

Ooh that sounds good! Don't think they do anything like that here.

Bit annoyed with my health visitor. She was due to be here an hour and a half ago.
Last week I told her one of the things that sets my depressive moods off was feeling alone/isolated/ignored. Yeah. Thanks lady.

Big hugs cottleson xx

Caro they sound really good. I have just booked swimming lessons for george starting next week as he has his first jabs this week. I have also just won in a raffle a babyfit course which is run locally by a midwife doing specific post natal exercise with your baby on a mat next to you. I cant wait to start these but cant for 2 more weeks as she says they are not suitable until 10 weeks after a section.

George is super sleepy so far today and has hardly had any awake time, hope that doesnt mean he will be horrible later!

Anyone heard from rainbow, she is not on here much anymore, I know I am not either but still I like to keep in touch with all the sweet peas!

x

She is on facebook but runs her own business/hobby i think too so shes keeping herself busy.
Im am dreading this whole week i have soo many appts to get to. I have to get everyone up and out the house for 8.15 in the morning to take Jaimee for a taster at his new school which is a 45 min walk away with the kids. Such a nightmare with a double pushchair, a sling and a clumsy toddler. No wonder my back is breaking lol.
Then the twins have their injections on Thursday too rescheduled after the chickenpox.
Lots of shopping to get done too this week for my wedding on 16th.
On the upside Ruby is sleeping 8-8 now so just one baby to feed 4 hourly.
Has anyone heard from Gem, hope her and Ollie are on the mend xxx

She's also on FB. I'm always looking for updates about her and Ollie.
Cottles that is rediculous about the lady being so late! (Did she ever show up?)
Tasha good luckthis week! And yay for Ruby sleeping so long!
ATM I'm exhausted after 2 late nights of fireworks but Rosie loved them. Also took her to the river ystersay and she's still not crazy about the floating sensation but she loved cooling off in the water! She was so miserable it was so hot yesterday. Idk what were gonna do when the really hot days happen!

Cottles I get down when people let me down too and for her to do it especially when you've mentioned how u feel, is insensitive! Hope she turns up sooner rather than later.

Tasha I always say it but I don't know how you manage!!!!! I dread going out with two lol! Only because Jake walks everywhere and hates the pram. So when I need to feed her, I'm forever yelling at him to not run away, which I hate doing as I can't stand shouting to get someones attention!

Jakes got a tasted for pre-school this Friday which I am dreading lol! He is a bit of a wild one with limited speech so gets frustrated although I'm sure the teachers have seen it before!

We are potty training at the mo and he's doing really well. I haven't taken him out yet without nappies but that's the next step then night time. This was the one thing I mostly wasn't looking forward too!

Well, the health visitor turned up. Three hours late. She was due at 11:30 and turned up just after 2:30... about 5 minutes after I finally got bored of waiting and warmed up my soup for lunch. Typical.

oh no cottles, did she have a good reason or at least apologise!?!

ladies the place i've booked the aquafit classes with is https://www.aquababies-uk.com/, they mainly run baby swimming lessons but have just started this new sideline at a few of the pools so you might be lucky.

lucky you choco winning free classes! they're blooming expensive so thats a great prize! x

Tasha i also don't know how you do it with 4, i think i would get so flustered taking anymore that 2 babies out lol. You deserve a medal :)

Hmm well George isnt doing as great with his sleeping, he was doing 7 hour stretches but is now waking every 4 hrs, we havent changed anything so not sure whats happened. He's been going to bed at 7 every night which is nice.

Caro, she didn't have an excuse really. But I ended up having to cut our session short because my friends showed up and the fact that she turned up late and was rude about it made me feel less bad about chucking her out lol

Me and df have made toby an email account... The idea is that we email him so when he's older he's got a little electronic diary of his childhood.
I just sent him the story of his first laugh along with the mp3 I recorded of it.

I hope he appreciates it when he's older. If not, I'll change the password and keep it for myself :D

I'm thinking that Isis is going through her next growth spurt. She's been feeding like crazy, won't let me get anything done and is more fussy than normal. I spent all afternoon in bed with her trying to get her to nap. She was clearly tired but wouldn't go down for longer than 15 minutes. I'm just glad I was home for one day of it. Hopefully I have enough milk expressed for her tomorrow. She's only been taking 2-3 bottles (lately 2, 3 oz) so I've only been sending 3-4 bottles. I only have enough milk for 3 bottles. I guess if I need to I can bring fresh with me tomorrow when I feed her at lunch. They also have frozen in their freezer, I just like to mix frozen with fresh. I'm worried about what a growth spurt looks like when expressing.

Crazy, We're going through something similar but Isis has kept her long early sleep but is a disaster after that. She sleeps for 6 hours (starting at 7) and then wakes every 1.5 to 2 hours until we get up for good. I'm hoping its a phase, for both of us!

Cottleston, cute idea! I'd be upset about the HV too. I get beyond pissed off when people don't show up on time!

Caro, sounds like a great class! I have an exercise DVD that incorporates the baby in the exercise but I would love to do one with water. They also don't start swim lessons around here until 4 yo! I bought a book on amazon to teach Isis myself. We have a pond on our property and a boat so she needs to know at least the basics as soon as possible.

Well dinner's ready and I think I've pumped the life out of my poor boobies, whatever life Isis left behind. Have a great night!
