***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

There sure are a lot of April mommies, eh? Thanks for your work keeping the thread up to date Mommyof3girls!

Just had my second and last scan today. She said the baby is in breech position. Trying not to think about that too much as there's a lot of weeks left for baby to move around...

Had 34 week appointment with MW, all is well and it was thankfully my usual one so got to have a little bit of a laugh and talk about the coming weeks. Got next appointment in two weeks a double just so we can re-fill in the missing info from my new set of notes.

Though little missy has made my day a painful one as she was poked and prodded about first thing for the appointment, I have been wriggled and pushed into submission lol

hiya could u please add me to the list?? i am due to have a little girl on the 15th April =) thankyou xx

Hey everyone. How you all doing?
Welcome to the new additions too - It's hard to believe there are still more April mummies turning up!
It's all getting so close now... 2 more days and it's March already! Is everyone getting prepared?
My friend is popping round with some stuff for me today. She's lending me a bassinet, infant car seat, pram, and some other bits and bobs. We gave away just about all of our baby stuff when Freya was finished using it because we didn't think we'd be having any more...
I'm going to go out with Freya and buy some clothes for Stinky this weekend too. Now that I'm finally convinced he's a boy I'm ready to start shopping!

He's still wriggling around a lot in there. My belly is moving around all the time, which is still freaking me out! I'm feeling so much better since I started working from home more. Had been considering putting my mat leave back a week, but I think I'll see how I feel closer to the time.

When's everyone else going on leave? And how long can you take? I know you English girls get pretty good maternity leave. I'm allowed to take up to 12 months, but only 14 weeks is paid (and even that at only about a third of my usual salary), so I'll be back in July. :(

March almost being here is definitely making it more real! I just have a few little stuff to purchase and then I'm ready. Can't wait!! :happydance: I'm lucky that I get to be a stay at home mom with baby girl! :)

I finish in 3 weeks and can't blummin wait! We get 6 weeks at 90% pay and then upto 9 months SMP which is £123 a week. I have no idea how we're gonna cope but people keep telling me we will!

I'm worried about how we'll cope too. OH has been out of work since Christmas, so we're already behind! All I see is a big black hole while I'm on leave... We'll be fine once I'm back at work though... just hope the bank can show a little understanding when mortgage payments are a bit late. Fortunately, our mortgage guy at the bank just happens to be one of OH's good friends - they should be able to work something out between them.

My friend dropped off a bunch of stuff before. Way more than I was expecting... just going to go and start looking thru the clothes now. :)

Ya February went by so fast!! Here comes March!!! Time is going by quickly, but could go by even quicker..hahah

I'm not sure when i'm going on mat leave exactly, i want to try and work till the very end, but i will have to see how i'm feeling cause lately i've been extremly tired and can barely keep my eyes open at work! Good thing i'm a Nanny cause when the baby is sleeping i can close my eyes for abit!!!

I must agree with you Freyasmum, my little girl is moving around quite a bit too and most of the time i just sit back and watch my tummy move around and it was pretty freaky at first but now is so so cool!! I love it!!!!

Happy Friday to everyone!!!!

The good thing about March coming is we can say that we're all due next month. It's a little crazy to think that.

I have pretty much everything ready except I have to start doing the washing. My mom was even saying to me last night that I really need to think about getting my hospital bags packed since time is going by so quickly!

Got an ultrasound on Tuesday to look forward to though!

Yahh for your u/s on Tuesday!!! Thats awesome that you have pretty much everything ready!! All my nursery furniture is coming on Wednesday and then i have my baby shower on March 14th so i will see what i get from there and then start buying!!

My mom said the same thing to me the other day about my hospital bag, i'm not even sure what to put in it for me and princess!! I will have to do some research and figure it out!!! but better to do it now and be prepared cause for some reason i think my little girl is coming early, just thinking!! Crazy feeling!!!

Well i go and see my Doc on Monday and its nice cause he has a scan machine in the room so i get to see her in action every 3 weeks but maybe it will be now every 2 weeks that i will go, i guess i will have to wait and see!!

ya its going to be so cool to say next month thats forsure!!! yahhh!!! I'm getting so excited!!!

Im getting nervous MARCH is here..what happened to February?????

The only thing i can remember in February was Valentines day!! It flew by!!!

Oh btw Arielle your bump is gorgeous!!! I don't think your small at all!!

Thanks. I measured up small last week so its a new thing for me to freak out about!

And yes i remember waiting for Valentine's Day which came really fast, and now its gone. Can you believe that its mom's in the first tri who are due in NOVEMBER??? Wow. Our kids will be 7 months!

I feel like the big kid on the block lol

I know i can't believe it!! hahah..I just think that this April we will be celebrating mothers day, at least this will be my first mothers day!! hehe!!! I'm excited!!! I still remember when i got my BFP and i was 4 Weeks!! heheh

I am pretty much ready for baby. I think I have everything we need. There's a few more small things I would LIKE to pick up but nothing that is necessary if I don't get it in time.

As for maternity leave that doesn't apply to me because I am a stay at home mom.

My little man is due April 14 but I have a feeling he will come around the 3rd or 4th week of march. Though he might surprise me and come n April! 2 of my 3 current kids were both at 37 weeks and I have a feeling this one will be also. He is measuring large, I am already 1.5cm dialiated and have lots of contractions on and off. if i could choose I would like him to be born the 2nd week of April (39 weeks or later) but we all know they come whenever they want!

Hi all

I can't believe that in a couple of days we will be able to say our babies are due next
month! We have all the essentials we need but still need to order nursery furniture. Since we have to move prior to Baby H's arrival we can't order anything until we know how big his nursery is. We're going to be having him in with us for the first few months so there is no real rush anyway.

The shop are kindly holding onto the pram, bouncer and cot
until we have the room for it.

My SPD is agony at the moment. I can't walk or shuffle along without my crutches, the pressure on my pelvis is so immense even sitting upright now hurts so I mostly stay in bed. I just received a call from the hospital. They took a swab when I went in in on MONDAY night and only just called me to say I have Group B Strep. Which means I wouldn't have been able to have a water birth even without the SPD.

Hope you're all ok.

X

Aw, I feel really sorry for you ladies suffering with SPD. I don't know personally what it feels like but it sounds horrid. :(

I agree about how fast it is all approaching now. When I tell myself how many weeks I have left, it kind of boggles my mind, being in the single digits for weeks now..lol..

I have to pack my hospital bag next week as my husband is convinced I'll be going in early...I have no idea why he thinks this but having the bag ready will make him feel better, LOL... Things I'm thinking ought to go in the hospital bag:

Heavy pads for the bleeding after delivery
Diapers for baby
Wipes
A few burp cloths
Baby blanket
Couple changes of baby clothes
Couple nightgowns for me
Slippers for me
A few pairs of underwear for changes
My phone and charger
Comb for my hair
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Hair scrunchy
Snacks for hubby while I'm in labor and for me after

That's all I can think of at the moment though I might add to it a bit...think that covers the basics though.

i have had my hosp bag packed for quite a few weeks, but have just gone through it again tonight to make sure i have everything. i had an antenatal class last week and she suggested to take a flannel and towel too so have had to squash them in!! am getting so excited now, but am also moving house before baby arrives and its a total mess at the moment all getting re-done so flaming well hope that hurries up - but the kitchen isnt even been delviered until 24th march!! then had OH sacked last week as well and threatening to kill himself....so having an awful lot of stress recently but trying to stay calm for Ambers sake! xx

Girls don't forget the number one thing, your camera's with a charger!!! Going to have to take lots and lots of pics of your LO!!! hahah...

Minstermind thats a great list!! Seems like you have everything covered!!!
