***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

I havent packed my bag yet!
I dont think I will be in rush going into labor. (<--- prob jinxed myself)

With my son, I showered and brushed my teeth, put on make up, and then left the house!

Lol im going to pack one though just to be organized!

I keep thinking I need to get on my bag too! April's just around the corner.

I have the diaper bag packed with the blanket, outfit, and misc. things I want to have at the hospital. As for my bag I haven't even thought about it. My husband make the comment last night that we need to pack it. I guess I'll get around to it. :)

Im more worried about my snack's bag than anything!

Goodness, I don't even know how to go about packing the hospital bag! :dohh: I'll have to find a list or something. Can't believe it's getting close to that time where I need to be thinking about that!

Hiya girlies :)

I've not actually started packing the bag yet, but I have started gathering the bits & pieces to go in to it... I had to go buy a light weight dressing gown because the only one I have is a huge terry towel lined chenille one, and that would take up my entire bag! I just got a cheap one for £7 out of Primark

I also had myself a sewing day and I've made myself 2 pairs of nursing PJs :) (I took apart 4 vest tops and sewed them into 2 BF tops. The front is now made of 2 panels, one which covers up to just under my breasts, the other comes to the bottom of my rib cage (so they overlap) then all I have to do is lift one side up a little to feed.)

And I've also made 3 ring slings too (because I heard they are the easiest carriers to use post c-section) :D 1 black & silver, 1 sage green, and 1 red with black stitching. The instructions are here if anyone else fancies making one :) https://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/index.html

Got a long day tomorrow; midwife in the morning (have to try to remember to ask for my healthcare in pregnancy grant form as well as the bile acid test! :dohh: then at 5.15pm we've got the 32 week growth scan, then at 7.30pm we've got the first of our antenatal classes!

There is a huge sticky thread on this at the top of third tri!

How cool you're able to do all that sewing! I wouldn't know where to begin.
Enjoy your day tomorrow and get that bile acid test!!

I'm really fortunate that one of my earliest memories is learning to sew! I was making a little rainbow patchwork with my mum with scraps of her fabric. I must've only been about 3!

She worked as a seamstress for years, so we always had a sewing machine in the house, and when I got my own place at 18 I bought one then for myself. I'd love to buy a fancy one that did embroidery stitches, mine is pretty basic, but it does the job.

My mum actually made the cloak I'm wearing in my wedding pohotos in my signature

I don't generally do a lot of sewing, it's mostly used for hemming trousers seen as I'm such a shortarse! But I'm trying to keep myself busy just now so besides the sewing I'm also stencilling a lot of maternity tops, and band t-shirts for my hubby too.

I'd stencilled a ton of things for the baby already, they're in my journal if you want a look, and there is a link to the instructions in there somewhere too.

One of the April mom's started this and i thought it was neat and I wanted to share.

I was going to post an update on me, but there's really nothing much to say. Still having issues with sleeping and breathing. Achy belly seems to be OK since I started working from home...
Really I feel like I'm just waiting for Stinky's arrival. I've got a MW appointment on Friday - hopefully she'll have booked me in by then and I'll get my section date.

The only issues i'm having is my sleeping!! I go to bed and then i'm up seriously every hour and half maybe two hours, its makes me so upset!!! Its getting so hard going from my left side to my back and then to get out of bed!!! I basically have to roll my self outta bed!! hahaha..

I would love to just sleep like even 4 hours straight, but i don't think thats going to happen anytime soon!! And if its not waking up to go to the washroom its waking up because of heartburn!!! GRRR!!!!

But other then that i've been feeling good!! BH haven't been so bad! Sometimes a little uncomfortable but i'm baring with it!!
Hope everyone is doing well!!!

My sleeping scheldule is ridiculous. I dont go to bed until like 4 or 5 in the morning. And wake up at like 1pm the next day. I've always been a stay at home mom but its never been this bad..I feel so lazy

oh trust me, if i didn't have to work i would probably be doing the same!!! i wish i was a stay at home mom!!!! I work from 7am to 5pm so i need lots of sleep!!! which i'm not getting!!! But on the weekends i'm exactly like that, in bed super late and up super late!! hahha

Hey hope everyones ok! We are due next month woooop!!!
Is it possible to update the thread title as babies arrive like march mums have? Xxx

Wow, we're due next month! CRAZY!

I have a stinking cold today so on top of the trips to the loo, I now just can't sleep for sniffing and breathing through my mouth, waking up for water which fuels more trips to the loo! And poor MrRaggle is having to put up with my cold induced snoring so he doesn't sleep either (I have suggested I sleep elsewhere but he's having none of that).

On a plus note, today's weather is lovely here! Bright warm sunshine, feels like the first say of spring :)

Snap! I spent the night in the lounge as my snoring was so bad. I got a gobful from DH this morning as he thought I was on the sofa but I made a bed out of cushions instead so he said no pregnant wife of mine is sleeping like that - did he come to check on me in the night though?! Course he didn't

Bought my maternity pads today so just need to get my snacks and can then start packing my bag. I bought some maternity briefs as well to give a tri and I might wear a pair during labour as I can't actually spend a lot of time without my knickers on - to me that's a signal that I'm either in the shower, having a wee or having sex. At ALL other times I like to have knickers on. Am i weird?

So.. Um... I'm an idiot!

I turned up for my scan at 5.15pm at a closed scan dept. to have my hubby read the appointment letter and tell me it is next week :dohh:

As are the antenatal classes

Stupid preggo brain :dohh:

The MW took my bloods and said she was happy to send off for the serum bile acid test but that she'd never heard of it and never been asked to carry one out before  But at least she didn't just brush me off like that last MW!

She actually asked if she could keep the papers I'd brought along to back me up (I wanted to have something to show exactly why I was asking for that test).

She said the lab might question it because she hasn't requested that before, but I checked with my hubby (who processes the samples in the lab) and he said they get them in all the time and never send them back for a doctor's signature, so it shouldn't be an issue... I just need to wait on the results now.

I asked if there was anything else she could think of which might cause itchy hands & feet, but she said the only other thing she knew of was too high a calcium level and that was unlikely given that I've got a really restricted dairy intake with the Crohn's...

Needless to say I forgot to ask about the bloomin healthy pregnancy grant form again! :dohh:

Oh dear sounds like something I'd do. Just don't forget to go next week!

Just noticed we've got June people in third tri eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
