***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

wow.. congrats to all the new april mummies. Can't believe how many there are already and it's not even april yet!
Good luck 'Whosthatgirl'.. I hope things are progressing for you.

Made it to 37 weeks today. woohoo! x x

11 births im loving this just so badly wish i was one of them xxx

My due date's the end of April, so assuming I go full term, there probably won't be any April moms around to even hear about it by then, lol... you'll all be busy loving up your little ones!

Same here Minstermind! My EDD by my LMP was 5th May.

How is everyone this morning? I am fed up of feeling sick and sore. I managed a full night sleep last night but have woken up with the good old immense pelvic pain, inner thigh pain and backache.

Baby H is moving away very happily again. It feels like he is fitting in there and is quite painful at times. Speaking of painful I got two or three really strong braxton hicks last night that really made me scream out loud!

Same here Minstermind - we can coo over each other's babies!

I'm having a lazy day today, only got up about an hour ago (11.40am) - naughty naughty! But I did get up quite a few times in the night so I forgive myself. Gonna grab some brunch and slob infront of the TV this afternoon. Luckily except for the washing up the house is pretty clean and tidy so I don't feel guilty for slobbing! x

Congrats to everyone who is popping early :) As said by a few others, us unlucky ones due at the end of April will probably be sat here all on our own before long!

I had the worst nights sleep last night :( Parents had Harry for the night though, so at least I got to have a lie-in for once.. Was in bed by about midnight (as couldn't get comfortable prior to then) but didn't manage more than 40 mins sleep between then and just gone 4am!! I was soooooo uncomfortable, getting up to the loo loads (even tho I didn't need to go), tossing and turning, getting really painful BH's and just generally getting very frustrated with not being able to sleep. Hubby woke me at 6am ish when he was getting ready for work and was awake for about half an hour. Then finally woke about 11ish this morning.

Got midwife on Wednesday, so she's going to have to put up with some serious moaning from me :(

Just popped on to catch up for 1st time in 6 days! Can believe how much I've been missing!

I'm having the laziest day today in the hope of being full of energy tonight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mo agrees to go to see a band tonight.
I bought the tickets for him birthday back in Nov but he's freaking out convinced I'll go into labour in Glasgow + we'll not be able to get home!

I'm not even due for 4 weeks, I think the chance of me going into labour tonight is pretty slim!

He's driving me crazy, last week we agreed we wouldn't go, then he changed his mind at the weekend. Then this morning he decided we shouldn't risk it, then he called at 1pm to say he wasn't sure!

I think we'll end up going... Fingers crossed anyway!

Fingers crossed you get to go and see the band, I would've thought you'd be OK with 4 weeks still to go!

Wow look how many births weve had already, how exciting and congrats to all the ladies :)

Well my little miss will be making her appearance on Thursday (yip, April fools day) at 38+6. Cant get my head around the fact that she will be here in a few days after all this waiting! Am very excited and have loads of energy so been getting house all spic and span for her arrival :)

Best of luck for Thursday x

After all those contractions last night, I'm still here and very much pregnant! I had my dr appt today and I have not had ANY cervix change since last week :( Still 2cm and 60%. I am at hospital waiting for my ultrasound appt in 1.5 hours its to once again check fluid and to once again check the size of the baby. If baby is pushing 9lbs dr feels we should induce next week but as I'll only be 38 weeks they require I do an amnio to check fetal lung maturity first. If I don't do this (not sure I want to go through an amnio when the end is so close anyways) at 39 weeks if I am still pregnant we will induce or do c-section. I would prefer to dilate 1 more cm before an induction though to be sure my cervix is good and ready and the induction easily takes. I informed DH to be ready for lots of :sex: this week to try to get my cervix changing faster lol.

Why would you need an amnio to check at 38 weeks, it's classed as full term? Just cusious, seems strange.FX you gt the news you wanted at app today.

Congrats all those having had their babies and Best Wishes all those due to go in to have induction real soon.

It's nice to see someone else if suffering bad with moodness, yesterday I cl of killed evryone was awful and really intense, better today but not as chilled as usual.

Today I actually saw te outline of a foot, I didn't think this really happend in real life but it did and hurt like hell, lol was abt 3.5-4 cm long. Cldn't quite believe it!

well just got my hospital bag all ready..we are leaving (by boat for Rhodes thats where my docs clinic is ) in the morning ... im have a planned c-section for the 31st of march... i am feeling ..... everything .... emotional, scared, happy , excited.... i hope all goes well i cant wait to finally meet her .... i'll be back in a week with updates and pics ....

So much action around here! HUGE congrats to all who have already had their babies.
And even huger :hugs: to those of us still suffering!!

I had my hospital appointment yesterday. It was a little disappointing actually... had to wait over half an hour and then the appointment was very rushed. She said that they will only do the c-section at 39 weeks. I tried so hard to convince her to do it earlier, but no dice. So. Stinky will be here on 12th April.
Which is what I think my due date is anyway (going by dates). It's very frustrating. My mw says that I'm already measuring over 40 weeks and I am SO uncomfortable now. I was really hoping not to have to wait that much longer.
So anyway... 13 sleeps to go! I guess that's not so bad. :)

And there is a chance it will be sooner, if I go into labour before then. The doc suggested we have lots and lots of :sex: in the meantime... If I can stay awake long enough I might give that a go! :haha:

Wow! It really is all systems go now!

I managed to get a few people on another forum I go on a little worried. I suddenly got
some blurry vision and light spots, googled to find it can be a sign of PE so had a few people telling me to call in. But just over an hour later and it went. Really strange. I had thought maybe a migraine coming on but I usually get the headache pain first before my vision is affected. I have a mw appointment tomorrow and will mention it anyway.

I forgot to mention earlier I have been getting some palpatations recently. Must mention that too; I was going to call my GP today but forgot!

Because unless there is a secondary "medical" reason to induce hospital policy is no "elective" inductions until 39 weeks unless there is documented proof that the fetal lungs are mature. The large baby is not considered a MEDICAL reason to induce. Also I had a medical reason last pregnancy and induced at 37 weeks and baby was NOT ready and spent 2 weeks in the nicu on oxygen and I don't want to go through that, so if I was to induce early before 39'ish week I'd still be a bit worried without an amnio.
