Congrats to Poppy666 and Fitzbaby!

I had my doctor's appointment today. The most eventful thing that happened at it was I'm half a cm dilated! Which I know means not too much but hey, it's progress! haha :happydance:
 
I was half a cm dilated Thurseday sweetie when my consultant checked to see if i was favourable to sweep ( was only partial so didnt do it) but Friday waters went at 4am and was 1 cm, so goes to show you dont need to be X amout cm or favourable to just come into labour :hugs:

I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing, but I have just moved over from the May babies thread after finding out today that I am going to be induced at 38 weeks due to having choleostasis, thus making me an April baby. 38 weeks works out 17th April (which is also MY birthday!) and I am on team pink :):cloud9:

That's my birthday too! And was also my original due date!!! Its been brought forward by a week according to scans, but going by my dates I'm officially due around that time anyway so we'll see I guess!

I should be catching up on sleep but I'm waiting for Kinleigh to finish pottying so I can change her diaper.

I checked in to L&D last night at 8pm. I was still only dilated to 1 and a half at that time. At 10pm the nurse came in and told me that the dr wanted me to walk for an hour. So my DH and I walked around the hospital for an hour. When I got back to the room she checked me again and I was then at 2 and a half cm dilated. At midnight she came in and checked again and I was 3cm so they admitted me. At 1am I got my epidural and at 2am I was 5cm and 95% effaced (sp?) so they broke my water. Miss Kinleigh decided that she wanted to have a bowel movement in the womb so that was a worry for us. 2:50 I had the feeling that I needed to push, they checked and I was 8cm. Two minutes later I was in pain and still had to push she checked and I was 10cm and ready to go. 3 nurses and Kinleigh's pedi dr were the ones that delivered Kinleigh. She was out after 4 pushes and her dr rushed her to be taken care of because of her having a BM in womb. She did swallow some BM but they were able to get it all. So she did not have to go to the NICU to be watched. She was born at 3am, she was 5lbs 14.1 oz and 19 and a half inches long.

When they came to get her at 8 this morning for vitals they had kept her for awhile and i could not figure out why. Finally Kinleigh's doctor came in and explained that they could not get her heart beat to stop dropping. She had to have like 3 different test done. At 5 pm her dr finally came in and talked to my dh and I, all her test were good. Come to find out, I'm on Zoloft for depression, and my sweet baby was affected by it but the dr told me that her heartrate will be back to normal in a couple days. If everything goes as planned we should be going home tomorrow.
 
Where have all these babies come from since I last looked yestrerday!!!
Congrats everyone, hope its my turn soon!
There were 2 ladies on my NCT course due the same day as me and BOTH have now had their babies!

Hey ladies :D

How are we all?!?! Well Im sat here envious of all the April Mummies who are due on my EDD or after me who are having their LO's before me :( boohoo. I have my 40wk MW apt this afternoon so hopefully be able to tell me that something is going on!!! Definately had a show on saturday morning but had nothing since :( I think Im going to have a lazy baby...suppose that gives me chance to show of my new car though haha :thumbup:

Congratulations to all you new April mummies and to mommyof3girls as well... now mummyof4girls hehehehe :wohoo: xxx
 
I'm off for my 36wk check with the midwife now, so will pop back on later if I get a chance to update you all with any news :) Keeping my fingers crossed she will be more help than the consultant was!!

Midwife --> Morrisons --> B&Q --> McD's for sneaky lunch :)

5 days left me and no signs yet apart from the odd period pain and lots of pressure in my pelvis etc, hope LO decides to come soon I'm getting very impatient :(
 
Hi ladies, hope you are all well. I dont post often, but read every day.

Just wanted to say that my little girl, Olivia is here. I was induced on the 22nd and she arrived on the 25th March (4th April due date).

It was the best birth ever. I had an epidural and felt nothing at all!! She is a good little girl although she seems to think that I am a milk machine at the moment!

Good luck to all ladies awaiting their bundles of joy and congrats to those that have had theirs already.

Im same as you hun, i have 2 weeks left! if ontime! all current people know with LO's have had theirs! just me now! cant wait! congrats to al who have had theirs already! green is not a good colour..but im so jealous haha x
 
Wow congrats mommyof3girls! That seemed super quick and I'm glad you're both doing well!

Also, congrats to Lorna!
