Hey GLitz, your getting induced at 38 weeks! Bloody lucky thing, my consultant seriously fobbing me off I think waiting until 39 weeks, I'd hoped for 38 weeks but no such luck! SO whens your date then? sorry if you told us already?

Only if he thinks my cervix is favourable. I am going in on Monday when I will be 37+6 for a stretch and sweep and consultant will decide if I am favourable enough for induction and give me a date within a couple of days. If not then I will have to go back the following week. He is super wary of induction failing.

DH has just had Tuesday and yesterday off and has just asked me to hurry up and give birth so he can have two weeks off work and crack on withthe decorating! Methinks he has a shock in store...!

Maybe I'm daft but i'll say it again, once the drip is connected I have little doubt induction will fail and if it does, I end up havign a c-sect I'm well prepared! Not what I want and far from ideal but what I'm happily facing up to. But this is me in my situe and going on my past births.

I am torn I have to admit but this SPD pain is only getting worse.

Shining it really does depend on how favourable you are - take me for example, my bishop score was 3-4 but they went ahead anyway because they'd done 13 days ofdaily sweeps and I'd had enough. 4 lots of prostin later and my waters finally broke. 15 hours later I had been contracting 3-4:10, strong on palpation and lasting 60-90 seconds with increasing levels of drip being added - I was still only 1cm and sectioned for failed IOL and fetal distress..

I'm feeling miserable, I was in bed most of yesterday with really bad pain from the Crohn's, and and still really sore and drained today... And I had an embarrassing accident this morning, but that comes with the territory

Mo's p'd off too because he hates to see me in pain and doesn't understand that there isn't anything that my doctors can do apart from dope me up with stronger drugs (I'm already on tramadol), or if it gets bad enough admit me for IV steroids which I'm not volunteering for because last time I put on 6 stones!

I'm just going to go back to bed and read for a while...

Shiningstar: I haven't contacted the group or taxi companies yet about transport, but it dawned on me yesterday that Mo & I actually know 2 taxi drivers!

So if they work Monday mornings we may just have a solution! Both of them drink in the same pub as my hubby (which I worked in when saving for our wedding); one is married to a barmaid I used to work along side and the other one is Mo's friend's son so I'm *sure* they'd carry the car seat out for me (if they were working that is...)

So all I need to do now is get their mobile phone numbers sometime in the next 3 weeks and ask.

Me too and have had no signs whatsoever. grrrr no plug whatsoever, no BHs and havent dropped at all. Me thinks Im in it for the long haul but really dont want to end up induced.,

The best pressie of all is if she comes today but don't think she will as i've had no signs or anything yet!!!

The consultant I saw this time around for all of 10 minutes bless him looked at my notes and could hardly believe I had been prescribed them to the point he had to take a breath, excuse himself for a moment then said "what a load of hooey" could see he wanted to actually have a bit of a rant about it.

I see you are in Somerset, where about because who knows it could be the same guy who is a useless space waster hehe
