Hey ladies, just a quick update to say that I had my gorgeous baby girl yesterday at 20:33 - she was determined to be a May baby!!

Ha ha I can just imagine that. We all have inductions within. a couple of days within eachother so we will all be in labour if not already had our babies x

Me probably! I'm being induced on Saturday (the last one scheduled I think) so I'll be talking to myself

Thank you so much for your replies! I had Tiernan on April 29 at 11:02pm. I'm going to write a birth story on the forum with pics soon enough now but wanted to abbreviate my story on this thread...

Went in Wednesday morning with waters broke and contractions about ten minutes apart throughout the whole day, getting to 7 minutes apart in the middle of the night (early Thurs morning). By this time I was shattered from them and lack of sleep. Then they suddenly stopped altogether about 5 in the morning Thursday. Spent the rest of Thursday being told I'd be sent in for an induction as soon as they had room in the labor ward. I finally got in about 4pm Thursday to be induced. By this time I was thinking my gas and air only thoughts were going out the window as I was wrecked already. I did ask for an epidural and was given one, but it only worked for about half an hour for various reasons and I was back to just gas and air the rest the time. It was rough alright, but I finally pushed him out at 11:02pm. I had an episiotomy. It was incredibly surreal and after my son being born not breathing 7 years ago, the relief I felt seeing Tiernan breathing on his own was indescribable. He was put on my belly and then they did their weighing, etc.. Spent the last few days in hospital and been working on breastfeeding. My milk came in last night so I'm engorged now and he's happily munching away.

I'll put my story and more importantly, some pics up! very soon. I'm just shattered at the moment as still haven't slept much but I wanted to come and catch up on this thread specifically and let you all know I agree with the consensus that all the waiting and frustration is well forgotten in the end and so worth it. Hang in there, and congratulations to all the new mommies! I'll be having a proper sit down on here very soon but have to run now, baby's calling for boob. Haha

Glitz has had her baby!!

Harry Jay Healy came into the world at 00:11 on his original EDD on 3 May 2010, weighing in at 8lb exactly following emergency c-section after 26 hours of labour and v little progress. *Harry doing very well, my BP shot up after but now fine. *V happy Healy family. Nothing on FB yet please! x

Well nervous!! I really don't want it to come to that I'm really really hoping that he comes before then! I'm scared it's gonna be like a tonne more painful and stuff arrrgh! Driving myself nuts!! Lol how are you feeling about it?

I'm shitting myself to put it bluntly cos I know when you get induced its a long process. The main thing I'm scared about is being on my own at some point during it all cos u know if your not in established labour when visiting time Is over then hubby has to be sent home xx
