Wantanerd you have some good bargains there!! That'll be a massive help I love the furniture that you've been looking at

Harvest we're not thinking too far ahead yet, but are thinking two of most things! It's going to get very expensive I'm thinking. We're definitely thinking two cots though, at first I've been advised to use one Moses basket for them so that they don't miss each other, but have also read somewhere that them sharing a cot can lead to them playing with each other rather than sleeping!!

I've got my scan next Thursday I'm getting nervous again, I just hope so much that they're ok, I've only seen them once and that was 4 weeks ago!

hi ladies, happy new year!

i've been MIA for a few weeks, i had some drama at home and then i was out of town for the holidays.

anyway just wanted to pop in and say hello. we find out the gender on the 17th. i went out and bought maternity clothes over the weekend since my bump is BIG now! there is no mistaking that i'm pregnant nowadays

Mrssunshine-good point on the playing not sleeping! I have heard that some twins won't sleep unless they are together since they are so used to it. I guess we will have to wait and see! I think that we will buy 1 of each piece of equiptment (swing, bouncy chair, etc) and then see who likes what. If need be we can always buy another one! GL with the scan I am sure it will be fine
Touch-glad to see you again! Hope the drama wasn't too serious at home and all is OK! Can't wait to hear what you are having! Do you have any feelings about it? Glad the mat pants are treating you well, aren't they so comfy?!!!

Well DH's work schedule officially sucks so (he will be working m-f nights 11pm to 9am for the next four months!!!) he is letting me go to FL for the entire month of February since he will either be working or sleeping for the next four months. I am just waiting to find out next week when my 20 week ultrasound appointment is so I can book tickets home.

So hopefully I will be in FL from the 24th of January to the 1st of March. I should be spending a week with my grandmother in palm beach and walking a lot on the beach. At least Florida gives me something to look forward to.

Hopefully hubby's crazy schedule only lasts for a month or two but we will see. Hopefully he will shift to days right around the time the baby is born. Thank god the military gives him 10 days paternity leave! Plus he will take more time off when as well when the baby is born.

Hi Touch, welcome back! hope you are ok.

AFM, i feel soooooo nauseous!! welcome MS! I generally feel sick all day long and during the night. waking up for a pee is awful as i feel sick straight away. Fatigue has kicked in too, (this all stepped up christmas day!!!) I'm also off tea which is amazing as im a tea-a-holic usually (hot tea)

Had my first scan today, one little but strong heartbeat!!! am sooooo happy!!! obviously can't make anything out in the below picture (thats if i can attach the picture)
I can stop my progesterone in 7 days time - yay!! and i've already made a midwife appointment for 19 January!!!!! wooooo sooo exciting!!

Wantanerd - Your month long vacay sounds amazing...plus it is just amazing here in Florida that time of year (I am sure you know that). You will get tons of gorgeous beach days.

Harvest - When are you going to find out the sexes of your babies? Or have you even decided yet if you are going to do that?

Mrs.Sunshine - I'm with you on the nerves for the next scan...mine is next week as well. eeek!!

Also, for all you ladies who are farther along, I would love to see updated bump photos!

I have my 12 week scan on Tuesday with the specialist (checking for downs and other issues). I am so scared...for some reason this week I have just felt like something isn't right...I think I will feel a lot better when I have my scan. And PLUS, my 30th Birthday is next thursday (the 12th)...so hopefully it will be a GREAT week filled with lots of good news.

sunshine, it happens to me every time a sonogram comes up. I am about two weeks away from my 20 week ultrasound and am starting to freak out about it already. And as always seeing the healthy baby on the screen immediately calms me down. I am sure everything is fine with your baby.

I am worried about the 45 minute 20 week ultrasound and I am sure my fears will be calmed during it, but they look at a lot of stuff and the mothering instinct is in full force worrying if my child is ok. I am sure this is what you are going through as well. Its normal but still very nerve racking!

well i had my last visit with my RE today! im kind of sad because i love the staff there but i could def do without the 2 hour drive!

i saw AND heard a heart beat today!!!!! 123bpm it was the most amazing thing ever to hear! even better that rate of MC drops to 5percent when you hear a heart beat. im so in love with this baby and its not even a full fetus yet!

i see a reg obgyn on the 13th kinda nervous to start all over developing a new relationship with a new doctor.

Hi ladies, I hope everyone had a good New Year's! Wow, there are so many good updates!

mrsrod and Mrs CP, congrats on seeing/hearing the heartbeats! Isn't it the most amazing thing? I am still in awe every time I hear the twins' heartbeats.

Sunshine, I was really nervous the week before my NT scan and I was so scared the morning of the scan. I remember feeling like I was going to be sick in the waiting room, and it had nothing to do with ms! Of course everything went just fine, so don't read anything into the fact that you are nervous about it, it's totally normal to feel like that.

wantanerd, those are some great deals that you scored! The county I live in has a parents of multiples group that has a semi annual sale, and the next one is in March, so I'm hoping I can find some good deals at that sale. The sale is open to the public, but members of the parents of multiples group get first crack at it, so I will be dragging myself and DH out of bed early for that!

Harvest, I hope you had a good birthday! We are definitely getting 2 cribs to set up in their nursery, and we are getting a bassinet that will hold both of them for the 1st 6-8 weeks or so. Our bedroom is on the 2nd floor and the nursery is on the 1st floor, so we needed something for them so that we could have them up with us for the 1st couple months. We had also heard that twins sleep better at the beginning when they are together. I am on my phone now, but tomorrow I will post the link to the bassinet we are going to get. It was recommended to us by one of my co workers who has 6 month old twins. In terms of the swing, bouncy seat, etc. we are also thinking that we will get one of each and they can share. Our next task is nailing down the stroller/car seat system we are going to get. For such tiny people they certainly need a ton of gear!!

Touch, welcome back, I hope everything is settled down at home. Less than 2 weeks until you find out the gender, do you have a gut feeling on it?

AFM, I had my anatomy scan today which confirmed there are definitely 2 little girls. They are both doing great and are getting so big! Baby A weighs 8 oz and Baby B weighs 9 oz, so I am officially carrying more than a pound of baby. They are just so cute and I really can't wait to hold them! Now that we have a confirmation that we are having girls we need to come up with names, and I don't even know where to start with that!

Michelle, if you live on the Md side of DC then I am sure my SIL is probably in that moms of multiples group! She has boy/girl twins. Its a small world.

I think there are sales like that here out in the springs and hopefully I will get a heads up on it since I joined the moms group on base. I am hoping to pick up any of the items (walkers, high chair, play gyms, etc) from one of those if we don't get them for our shower. I know for sure we will have the nursery furniture since my mom is buying that for us.

Dh's parents still don't seem too excited about the baby yet. I think its from the strained relationship we have had with them over the past three years. I did schedule my shower for when the MIL would be in town in FL. I am hoping things improve on that end, but my family is more than willing to step in as well as the god parents (surrogate grandparents but nicer title).

thanks everyone! i am stretched for time so i can't address everyone individually, but wanted to stop in and say we got a big suprise yesterday and found out the gender! we also had a 3D scan. my gut feeling was a girl but it turns out we're having a BOY! so happy and excited. he is cute and looks like me too

Congratulations on the boy touch the sky, I love those scans where you can see pretty much what the baby looks like, how exciting!

Michelle glad the anomaly scan went well and that they're getting so big, it's so amazing that they can figure this out just from a scan!

Mrs cp love your scan picture, you can see where babies head is lucky you not having to have pessaries for much longer, I'm still on mine and don't know when I'm allowed to stop

Sunshine my scan is on your 30th birthday!! I'm sure that week will be a very exciting, happy week for you

i had my next scan at 11+1 and baby was waving and kicking so amazing im so so over the moon right now it's beyond belief! she checked nuchal fold all good too downs is unlikely! wooo xxxxxx measuring at 11+4 so hopefully its getting big and strong too! xx

Congrats Touch! Wow you must be so excited to know what you are having Funny how your intuition was off, I have been having dreams that I am having at least one girl. It will be funny to see if I am wrong too! I guess you never really can tell!
