Hi I thought I'd make a thread for all the mummies expecting a baby/babies in August 2016.

Let us know when baby is due and where you are from.

I'm expecting a baby boy on 13th August & I'm from London.

I'm 23 weeks. So far so good! I had high fluid levels withy first, so compared to that, this pregnancy feels like a breeze! My back bothers me a little but I'm seeing a chiropractor and it helps so much. My two year old son keeps me busy so time is flying! How about you?

Is that why you are having a csection ? Nice that you will have one of each ( a boy and a little girl) I'm ok back hurts on some days and nosebleeds but baby is all well.

I had an emergency csection last time so I'm just going straight for a csection again this time

How's everyone's pregnancy going ?

Mine is going quickly, but then I think it's another 14 weeks and seems ages.

Has anyone been baby shopping ? This is my first and I don't whether to get loads of newborn stuff/ outfits or 0-3 months. And how much summer stuff to get him. I'm due on 12th August. England is so unpredictable with its weather

My due date is Aug 11th but I'm hoping to get my c-sec on the 5th.
I have a DD that will be 4 on Aug 8th and a DS that turned 1 March 9th

As for buying stuff... I'd say buy only a few newborn size items, but don't go crazy with them. My kids were average and always in 50th percentile for weight and height and were 7.5 and 7.4 when born and only stayed in newborn size for about a month. We used a lot of sleeper sacks and gowns when they were newborn and maybe dressed them in actual clothes once or twice so those outfits always went to waste lol.
We did buy a decent amount of sleeper sacks and whatnot though b/c there WILL be leaks and spitup and all of that so there's a lot of changing going on.
And summer stuff... again.. just buy a few items. Babies grow SO fast that there's no point in buying a ton of clothes in the smaller sizes.

Hi, I'm Amy, in the US. Almost 25 weeks with a girl. It's a little surreal. Took over a year to conceive and 2 loses, it took awhile to bond with this pregnancy but now that she's moving around in there, I can't wait to meet her!
I'm due August 22nd but if I make it to 39 weeks, I'll be induced, I'm type 2 diabetic.
I have a 2yr old named Liam. He was born via c-section at 36 weeks. Hoping for a vbac this time around but I know things could go either way! I'll just be happy when she arrives safely!

This pregnancy is going super fast now! We've only bought 5 newborn onesies that came in a pack, and the rest 0-3 months and bigger. They grow so fast at the beginning, and there's no guarantee your baby will fit into newborn (up to 8 lbs). Doesn't hurt to get a few, if you need more have S/O make a run. If you don't need them at all, not much money wasted.
