Maria - the DVD is awesome and I'm aching like hell today although that's good. I've now managed two days of sensible eating - how silly that this is a good thing but for me thats great!

All good here, work taking over as usual but trying to keep on top of things. House is looking wonderful and I can't wait to move back in, fingers crossed the radiators arrive on time this week and the plumber can finish - that is the variable right now! x

In the hospital again with Sophia, we brought her in this afternoon as she had a high temp. They've done some tests and just told me she has viral meningitis. Have never been so worried in my life.
Apparently viral is less serious than bacterial but it's still meningitis. My poor poor baby.

The girls quilts arrived yesterday so I have decided to go ahead and order the rest of the stuff for their room rather than wait. We are just waiting on the wardrobes to come back into stock then we are good to go I think!

So we took the sides off Naomi's cot the other day and she has been sleeping much better! I'm amazed and really pleased as I've been worrying about getting her to have a 'proper bedtime'. Before I would take her downstairs and she would fall asleep in my arms (about 7.30pm) and I would put her in bed, she always naps in her cot but again, I put her in there already asleep. So yesterday she was awake when I put her in there for her nap, she just laid down and went straight to sleep! Then at bedtime we put the girls to bed together at 7 and again, she went straight to sleep and slept through all night. I know it's not a big deal and most children sleep way better than Naomi from a younger age but I'm very pleased! (sorry if that sounded braggy, I'm just so pleased!!) x

Maria, well done to Naomi! Its not bragging at all hun to be pleased about something. Great that you have ordered all the furniture now, bet it will look lovely.

Ive been working on the cake last two nights and so far so good. Ive made the letters, and tonight made the clubhouse and the mickey mouse to go on top. Tomorrow will be the hand foot and slide and friday all the smaller details, Im pleased so far!
Harrison woke up at around midnight last night screaming, no idea why and refused to go back to sleep, think we were up around two hours with him and he was a zombie today, hope tonight is better for him. The heat cant be helping xx

Not up to much today, Holly has a friend coming after school so I'm going to empty, clean and refill the pool this afternoon as the water's been in there 2 days now so is in need of refreshing! Naomi's already been in there this morning at 9.15! Thankfully she didn't stay in there long- it was a bit early for my liking!

Hi ladies,

Im becoming a bit of a cake bore but ive completed most of the clubhouse now and bits to go on it, im a bit worried about the weight of it all. Im making all the fiddly bits tomorrow, ie, the paving stones, windows, doors, fence etc and then the main cake to be made on saturday. Im excited to see it all come together! Also looking forward to the race for life on sunday, think its going to be hot though! x

Hi girls,

Day off work today which is lovely. I'm enjoying not being at work! Yesterday I went to see a work colleague who has had breast cancer and she has just finished chemo so i was lovely to see her and try and cheer her up.

Simmy - so worried about you all, are you ok? x

We got a bed guard today and it says that it's for a single bed and not for a toddler bed - is that the same as a cot bed? Should we return it? Aggghhh!!!

We had the same problem when we got Holly's one Caz. We just left the end hooky bits off so that it fit OK. A single bed is slightly wider than a cot/toddler bed- you could try it with the end bits not on it to see if it's ok, if not, you may have to send it back. They are a pain- cot beds are so popular now you'd think they would make them suitable for single beds and cot beds!

Hi girls sorry I haven't had time to update. Thanks so much for your messages. We are ok and might be able to go home today as long as they can fit in Sophia's antibiotics on time. She seems a lot better, is feeding well and her temperature is down consistently now. I guess we have to keep an eye on her at home but for the moment she seems to be doing well.

Caz - we had that problem with a bed guard too, it wouldn't fit properly on the toddler bed so I took it back. We now just put pillows on the floor in case Leo falls, which doesn't happen too often.

Maria that's great news Naomi slept so well with the sides off! How did last night go?

Mel, the cake sounds fab. Can't wait to see pictures.
