Beach Bump Graduates!

Simmy so glad Sophia is improved and hopefully you are at home with her now. What an awful week you must of had!

Caz, thats rubbish re the bed guard, toddler/cot/single beds are so confusing, we had issue with duvet covers, everyone we bought was a different size and was an issue to fit the quilt, nightmare! Thats sad about your friend, hope shes making a good recovery now.

Maria, hope you had a nice time at the park today, i hate waiting for parcels, waste so much of my life doing it. lol

Hann, are you bad? was it fab? hope so! Looking forward to hearing about it all!

SB, How you doing? Cant believe how time is flying for you? are you still feeling sick?

AFM, We have had a lovely day at the zoo with my parents and my grandad, we had a lovely picnic made by my grandad, it was a posh one, prawns, crab, chicken gougons, home made scones, salad and loads more, was lovely. Harrison was exausted when we got home as hadnt had a nap and by six he was beside himself with tiredness and could hardly stand up straight, and of course EVERTHING was an issue. So he had an early night lol.
Lucas was tired too, so hoping they both sleep well as Alan is on nights too so im on my own tonight.
Just done some more bits with the cake, im so excited by it, and i know H wont really care, but never mind!
Went for another run last night, big day only 2 days away woo hoo!
Tomorrow ive got to do the shopping for Hs little party on monday, and then make the base birthday cake and ice it green.
Oh Hann, its Annabelles birthday tomorrow isnt it! Hope you have a fab day and happy birthday to Annabelle! x

Well done on the runningn mel! That's brilliant, good luck for the race on Sunday. Naps are going to pot these days aren't they??

So we are finally back home yay! What a scary and god-awful week, probably the scariest and most worrying week of my life. I can't describe the emotional roller coaster I've been on this week... Anyway what's important is that my baby girl is ok - the doctors were really pleased with her progress and tests today showed the infection had gone so that is brilliant.

Mel - love your cake design pics on FB! That's totally what I was fantasizing for Katie's party, but I knew in this heat wave we have right now, it would have ended up in a sticky, melted mess and I would have been a puddle of tears! Can't wait to see the end results!!!

I'm doing well! I still get nauseous, but it's going much better than it did with Katie and I haven't thrown up at all in over a week. Yay! No, I can NOT believe how fast time is going this time! Last time it felt like the end would never get here, and now I'm just a handful of days away from being exactly half way. The panic is definitely setting in! Haha

Sorry I've not been on again.

Simmy, I'm so glad you are all home now and Sophia is better. How worrying for you! Thanks for updating on fb xxx

Mel, I'm excited to see the cake! Good luck for tomorrow too

Caz, well done on doing the DVD. Eating healthily is always my downfall!

AFM, not much to report really....going for a massage today, can't wait!! Oooooh, and I'm starting to dip my toe into the scary world of dating! Eeeeeek!!

Wow datinggeorgie how exciting! You must keep us posted! You're amazing - two kids, gym, massage - awesome!

SB - time really has flown! Can't wait for little wills to be born!

Simmy I'm so glad you're home it must have been so scary. Hope you all have a quiet weekend x

So more cleaning here - carpets down at home and cleaning all day today and tomorrow. Electrician comes on Monday so we hope to slowly move back in next week with next weekend properly back in yay!

X

Hi everyone, just about caught up!
Firstly very relieved to hear that Sophia is back home and better. What an awful time and feel so bad for you Simmy! How did she get it do you know?

Mel - looking forward to seeing a pic of the cake! Well done for the 5km today - saw the photo. What did you do it in? Much harder in this heat! Good to know about Drayton manor and the room options, never considered getting adjoining rooms but that's a fab idea!

SB - congratulations on your boy! I had a feeling it might be. Have to say I love having a boy. Henry is a much more chilled out baby than Annabelle ever was lol

Caz - I'm on mfp again now too, I might try that new Jillian workout too. I am also doing a trial session of military fitness classes in bushy park. My friend locally goes so I'm going to go with her. Looking forward to it but also scary as apparently is really tough and if you stop then they punish the whole group!!
Bet you are super excited about your house. Post pics when you can!

Maria - funny you took Naomi's bars off because we did it today. Over the holiday Annabelle was in a travel cot which she hated and basically has been waking 8 times a night and wants to be out so the bars are off and she had her lunch time nap just fine. We have a bed rail but we think we aren't going to bother with it because her bed is so low as its a cot bed so if she falls out its not far! Really hope it works as feeling exhausted!

Georgie - so excited to hear about dating!! Keep us posted!

Holiday was lovely, very hot obviously! Villa was nice but quite impractical because we were in the annex which had no seating so at night we had to put Annabelle and Henry to bed then lock them in and sit around the corner and we couldn't see the door. I didn't like it! Henry was pretty good at night as we had air con but in the day he was pretty miserable.
Annabelle loved the beach and the water etc so that was nice to see.
Had her party yesterday and she was very spolit. Such a nice day though and she got some lovely gifts. I think her trampoline was the winner though! And I can use it lol!

On a massive health kick now (once we've had the birthday cake lol) so I might be boring you with healthy talk. Just marinated a load of chicken - some in Thai spices and some tandoori so that I can eat it with salads over the next few days for lunch. Also bought cous cous, orzo and a bulgar wheat and quinoa mix. Trying to at least make healthy eating enjoyable.
Right better go and play, can't believe Greg is back at work tomorrow and its just me and the little ones again. Let the mayhem commence ;)

Oh also and this is quite random but I'm not sure if I mentioned that Annabelle has always had trouble going for a poo (sorry to say!), its got to the point of she cries up to 8 times a day when she has to go and only one of those occasions does she actually go. Anyway we took her to the doctor as it had got so bad, and when we thought she was trying to push it out she has actually been trying to pull it back in! She basically hates it so much she thinks its going to hurt that she is trying to retain it rather than push it out. We've been given a stool softener to assist but been told to get her on the potty so she's in a better position to do it. Today Greg literally had to physically hold her on it but it worked. It was horrible to see though. Apparently it's quite common with girls to hold it in - bit sure if anyone else is experiencing it but thought it was worth a mention.
And on that topic - has anyone potty trained yet? We were told by the doctor that she should be fully potty trained now which I'm surprised by as I didn't think we were late in it. She's not interested in going on the potty or toilet but also doesn't want to wear nappies. I think I will be starting it soon though as she does show signs of being ready

Hann, glad you had a lovely holiday, you can talk to me about your health kick anytime, i love all that king of stuff!
Re potty training, H isnt interested at all, he knows what and how and where but just point blank refuses and we arent gonna force it. Your GP is talking rubbish, 2 is early to be potty trained, and apparently boys take longer too.
Gad Annabelle had a lovely party too!
Georgie, dating, oooh do tell!

Simmy how you and Sophia getting on now? Hows Leo ? it must have been difficult for him too bless him

Caz, yay for moving back in ! how exciting!

AFM Great day at the race for life, didnt get a pb, the course was really rough and hilly and i found it tough, plus, there were crowed parts where had to slow right down, i did it in 36 mins 50 which isnt too far from my norm to be honest. i need a new challenge now though to keeep me motivated!
Cant wait to reveal Hs cake, its been a bit of a nightmare as its top heavy, so a few repair jobs have been in order, i was also making mini cupcakes this afternoon, im sick of baking at the mo lol.
Looking forward to tomorrow, a few of his friends round a little tea party and paddling pool, trampoline, playhouse, water table all in the garden, should be fun! xx

That's a great time Mel! I remember getting stuck in the crowds when I did the jpmorgan challenge one, couldn't go any faster because of it! I'll bore you with fitness stuff from now on then lol!
I agree with you about the potty training. I'm not pushing it because she's really not keen to sit on it however I am going to get her to do her poos on it (again apologies for the tmi) only because if she's stood up then she's able to hold it in whereas sat down is much more difficult for her to do that. She'll no doubt fight me all the way though!! It's not nice but now it's becoming a health concern we have little choice.

On the up side I have had a very healthy day and hoping both of them have a big sleep tonight. I doubt it though lol. Annabelle is currently asleep on the very edge of the bed so expecting to hear a thud any moment as she turns over and falls out.....

Hi all we are doing fine thanks, we've been home 2 nights now and I slowly think things are getting back to 'normal'... Having said that Sophia is back to her sleeping through the day and awake at night routine - it's knackering!! I've really enjoyed being back with Leo, I missed him SO much when i was in hospital, I didn't see him for 4 days straight which is the longest ever. I'm really looking forward to getting back some 'mummy and leo' time - even during my pregnancy i never really spent time with him alone as i was so sick through most of it.

Hann, welcome back! Glad you had a good holiday. The heat is difficult during the day with very little ones isn't it... Oh and happy birthday to annabelle. I'll also join you on the health kick, i reckon i need to give it another 2-3 weeks before i'm recovered from the section and then i will start in earnest!

Re potty training I agree that the GP is talking rubbish, there's definitely no set age for them to potty train, they are ready when they display the key signs, one of the main ones being the ability to hold their wee and also to pull up and down their trousers themselves. Anyway i hope the stool softener works for annabelle, poor thing it must be painful for her. We are not planning to potty train just yet, same as harrison i just dont think he's ready and plus i dont fancy doing anything like that with a new baby.

Mel - congratulations on today! I will get around to sponsoring you i promise! I think that's a great time considering the heat and crowds. Well done on the cake too, can't wait to see pics. Wishing harrison a lovely birthday tomorrow!

Georgie, so fun on the dating - how are you going about it, through friends or through online dating or both? Keep us posted! So glad you feel ready to date, that's a really good milestone :)

Maria, hope you've been enjoying your girls and the paddling pool!

Caz - woo not long on the house now, bet you can't wait.

Glad you had a good holiday Hann! I bet Annabelle had a fab birthday, trampoline sounds great!

How exciting about the house Caz- not long now!

Well done for yesterday Mel! I hope Harrison has a fab day today :D I'm so excited to see his cake!

That sucks about spending so much time apart from Leo, Simmy. It will be fun to spend some time together though :) I'm glad Sophia is doing better.

How was everyone's weekend? We went to the beach yesterday, it was lovely! :D

Happy Birthday Harrison! Looks like he'll be sharing his birthday with the royal baby! I reckon girl called Charlotte.

Simmy - that must be horrible not being with Leo for all that time, hope you get plenty of time with him now.

Maria - beach sounds good! Its going to be another scorcher today.

Annabelle slept much better last night, only one wake up and didn't fall out of bed. Henry was up a fair bit though :(

My mums really annoyed me, next week my brother and girlfriend were coming to stay the night at mine to see me and greg and also spend time with Annabelle and Henry. Well my mums emailed him and told him not to come here because they won't be able to do washing and it will just be an inconvenience having them stay! I'm really annoyed because of course they could do washing and i have only seen him for one weekend since he came back in June and if he doesn't come then I won't see him until December and even then thats just one night out so the children won't see him at all. My mum sent me an email trying to maintain that he had reached that 'sensible' decision himself not to come and what a relief it must be for me! I know its because of the washing as he told me so I've gone back to her and said that I'm really upset as I wanted to see him! Now admittedly its her birthday that day but he could have spent time with her, had lunch then come to us. Plus she hasn't said that she wants him there for her birthday instead she's made up this stupid thing about the washing. Really upsetting that she has done this! Sorry for the very off topic random rant ;)

Hi girls,
Mel well done on your run. Awesome time!

Han I agree with Simmy I heard average age for potty training is 2 years - 3 and later for boys so I would t worry. None of my friends with two year olds have even started!

And as for your mum - I can see why you're annoyed! It's your decision!

How wonderful that you went to the beach Maria. Bet it was glorious!

Simmy I'm so glad you're home now. I bet Leo was beside himself when he saw you!

Having some quite low moments unfortunately at the moment. Too much going on I think :( but hopefully we will be home for the weekend which will cheer me up! x

Really hope you are okay Caz - I bet being home will help!

Still annoyed with my mum so not contacting her for a few days, hopefully she'll get the message!

Having such a hard time with Henry at the moment, if he's not being held he cries. I can't get him to sleep in the daytime and I'm just exhausted because they are both up at night. He's not slept all morning since he woke at 7. I had this hope that he might sleep while Annabelle did and so could I but nope! I'm really finding it tough to keep upbeat when its just constant tears.

Hann I feel in exactly the same boat as you re exhaustion / crying babies. Sophia is just soooo hard to settle after a feed, and if she's not sleeping or feeding then she's crying and wants to be held all the time. She's not going longer than 2-3 hours between feeds so I'm basically only managing a few hours broken sleep per night. Paul helps but I just feel like I can't catch up on my sleep. Leo was so different as a baby, i am realising now how easy he was!

And Leo's really playing up at the moment, he basically refuses to go to sleep and just trashes his bedroom for HOURS before he eventually falls asleep on the floor. I'm waiting for the heat wave to pass as I have an inkling he's too hot to sleep - it got to 32 degrees in his bedroom last night poor thing! And we've had to close the main window because we caught him on the video monitor climbing up on the windowsill so I'm worried he'll jump out - I'd rather he's hot than jumps out of the window!!

So basically I'm sending loads of sympathies your way hann!

Oh and so annoying of your mum to meddle, such a shame you won't see your bro now.

Caz :hugs: I'm sure it's just the stress of the house and living with your inlaws for so long. Do you think there's anything else bothering you? X

Happy belated birthday, Harrison! Apparently the royal baby liked his birthday so much, he decided to share it!

Simmy - glad Sophia is doing better!

Afm, I had my anatomy scan today! Our little boy is still our little boy (we didn't doubt it before, but a reassurance is always nice! lol) and he's looking completely perfect! It just keeps getting more and more real that I need to start getting ready for this baby to come home in December! I can't stop shopping, but I'm totally behind in getting the nursery ready and i refuse to even look at my hospital bag! :hehe:

Here's a picture of our little Prince Will:

Cute scan sb!

Han hopefully your mum will take the hint!

Poor you an Simmy for crying babies - I can't imagine it - it must be so tough for you. And with Leo and annabelle being little monkeys too :( can te boys help?

Feeling a bit better today but still teetering on the edge - Neel says we will be back in by Saturday so I hope so! x

Hi girls,

Urgh I have a tummy bug - feeling sick all the time but not been sick - almost like morning sickness but I can't be pregnant - so no worries on that side! But feels yucky.

How is everyone? x

Oh Caz that's awful, plus you were feeling rubbish anyway! These things always happen at the worse times. I really hope you wake feeling much better.

Simmy - I am totally with you on the feeling fed up and exhausted. Now on night 6 ov Henry's sleep getting worse! I actually took him to the doctor this morning because I assumed something must be wrong but all they said was that he was windy and to go back on infacol. He burped a lot today so put him to bed thinking he would be fine and no he has now slept the shorted burst in ages! I'm starting to feel like he's just going backwards and its never going to be better again! How can a baby go from doing 8-12 hours to now only managing 3-6 hours?! It can't just be the weather! plus Annabelle was up for 2 hours before we got her to sleep and has already been up once tonight. How have we gone from amazing sleepers to the worst in a matter of a week. I am losing the will to live with this seriously!
Plus exhausted, all day long all I get is Annabelle telling me to play and 'mummy do it' and Henry screaming because he can't even finish a feed because Annabelle interrupts with any excuse she can! It's beyond a joke! Sorry for the moan but I'm really starting to feel like I might fall apart from the lack of sleep and constant stuff during the day :(
